Do monkeys make good pets ?
Ask yourself another question. Do Humans Make Good Pets? A human is a close cousin of the monkey. It is not usual, in civilised society, to keep a human as a pet. In fact, in most modern-day societies, to do so would be called slavery or kidnap!

Monkeys and apes are wild animals. They do not belong in captivity. In captivity they will become listless, smelly, aggressive and mentally disturbed.. Have you seen captive monkeys rocking back and forward, repeatedly. Sitting nodding their heads in a pronounced fashion, or pacing back and forth for hours. These are symptoms exhibited by humans but, usually, only in asylums.

So, finally, to the question Do Monkeys Make Good Pets? The answer has to be a resounding, emphatic NO! Monkeys do not and cannot make pets. To do so would be inhuman, The term inhuman is used deliberately as humans are also primates and any monkey is a, relatively, close cousin. We do not keep our own kind as a pet.

India is a land of rishi since its birth in ancient time. But who is Rishi is real terms.
Rishi is actually a sanskrit word that refers to a seer or sage who has discovered eternal truths and deep levels of spiritual knowledge through periods of intense meditation. The term may also be translated in English to mean “to go,” “to move" or “to flow.” Historically, the Vedic tradition uses the term, rishi, for someone who is inspired by the knowledge they gain to write poems or hymns. In modern times, it could be used to describe someone who has reached a high degree of spiritual awakening.

There is no religion linked to it and anyone can be Rishi if posses same qualities. You and me can be Rishi too.

@yesindia wishes you all a happy Karwa Chauth festivals.
Have anyone from you know from when it started. As per my knowledge, the exact commencement of the festival is unknown but according to folk tales it is inferred that it was present in the historic times. There is a mention when Draupdi observes the Karwa Chauth fast for the well being and longevity of Pandavas. In conversation with Krishna, a reference is made when Parvati observed the same fast for lord Shiva. Hence, without any evidence to support, it can be derived that the festival is celebrated from ages. There are various stories that describe how the festival started and explains its significance.   #yesindia #rajkumarjangra #canon #travel #nikon #picoftheday #indiapictures #india #picture #indianphotography #storiesofindia #indiaclicks #incredibleindia #beauty #beautiful #love #bride #festival #sindoor #makeup #art #mehndi #photography #perfect #fashion

Who says that shootout and modeling are the business of human only. These creatures can also pose if we give a chance to them.
Jokes apart but do you know that according to scientists estimate, insects make up to 90% of all species of animals on the planet and more than half of all living things. They can be found in almost every habitat, from snowy mountain peaks to scorching deserts and they have been around for more than 400 million years, longer than dinosaurs and flowering plants!

Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.

Love myself I do. Not everything, but I love the good as well as the bad. I love my crazy lifestyle, and I love my hard discipline. I love my freedom of speech and the way my eyes get dark when I'm tired. I love that I have learned to trust people with my heart, even if it will get broken. I am proud of everything that I am and will become.

Attending a South Indian wedding is an experience unlike any other and is a direct window into the rich culture and elaborate traditions of the South.
Unlike weddings in other religions or customs, which usually take a day at maximum, pre-wedding and follow-up rituals for a South Indian wedding can last several days. Traditionally, in some customs, such as with Telugu weddings, they used to last up to a maximum of 16 days! However, in recent years, this has come down to two or three in most South Indian customs. Each day signifies a particular theme and has set rituals to it and weddings can also be quite long depending on the status of the family.

Is Yoga really anti-Smoking?

No.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not for a moment supporting smoking or trying to misguide you by saying that smoking is not injurious to health if you practice yoga – Cigarette Smoking is injurious to Health! But the question that I’m addressing is whether Health is the same as Yoga? And whether you really need to be a non-smoker, and also non-drinker and vegetarian (amongst other things) to be successful in your yoga practice.

Let’s try to understand this better. If you don’t have these habits – great for you! But if you do; then it should not stop you from starting a Yoga practice. For nowhere in the great Yoga scriptures is it written that you need to give up all your lifestyle habits before embarking on a yoga practice. In fact as you do more yoga; you will find that these habits cease to bother you and very often you may overcome them or reduce them tremendously!

God created us in His image and set before us a path unique to each one of us. We are called to represent Him through our actions, our thoughts, and our words, so that others may see the kindness, love, and grace that He has brought into our lives. By representing God in all that we do, we can help others know Him!
We are his reflection, and we can be in real terms if we follow the correct path.
Every day we are faced with stressful situations whether they be with friends and family, or with strangers that we meet as we go about our daily tasks. In these circumstances, we can either be quick to react negatively, or look at the issue through God’s eyes with love, understanding, and patience.

Meet out wild friend, the "Himalayan tahr" which is a relative of the wild goat and is specially adapted to life on the rugged mountain slopes of the Himalayas sitting on the stone edge in the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. It has a dense, reddish to dark brown woolly coat with a thick undercoat, keeping it warm in the winter. In the spring, as temperatures rise, it loses much of its coat, and becomes lighter in colour. The hooves are also well adapted, making tahr excellent climbers with flexible, rubbery cores allowing them to grip smooth rocks, and hard, sharp keratin rims enabling them to lodge their hooves into small footholds

Lets know a little about the Sanctuary also in which he is living. The Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary famously known as the "Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary " or "Kedarnath Vanya Jeev Prabha"  is spread over Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts of Uttarakhand. It was named after the famous Hindu temple of Kedarnath which lies outside the northern border of the sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand is also the largest protected area in the western Himalayas. Moreover, the sanctuary also offers astonishing views of valleys, glaciers, forests, grasslands, butterflies, and a plethora of flowers. The sanctuary has a number of Hindu temples located within its vicinity, along with Kedarnath Temple, Mandani, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, Ansuya Devi and Rudranath are some important Hindu shrines that are visited in wildlife reserve’s precincts.

Good Morning All. Lets start Vijaya Dashmi from Bihar and lets taste their mouth watering dish called 'Litti'. The simplicity of Litti Chokha dipped in the Ghee (clarified butter), and served with different types chutney, salad, sauces are worth your time and and money. For Biharis, its not just a food, its love, its life. Its a kind of music for the daily life of a Bihari. The pleasant fragrance of Ghee and the mouthwatering relishing taste lets you forget everything and fell in love with its purity.

Litti is basically made with whole wheat flour stuffed with sattu which is a mixture of garlic, ginger, desi achar masala, mustered oil & home made masalas. It has a long shelf life so people used to pack it for travelling.

Something has a habit to grow and someone like us have yhe habit to cut these down.
According to an estimate, 11 million hectares of forest are harvested in the world per year. In India alone, one million hectare of forest is being cut down. The pressure of urbanization, the growing population and the craving for the rapid development have deprived us of green cover.

Deforestation results in soil, water and air erosion, which result in the loss of an estimated amount of more than 16,400 crore trees each year. Deforestation adversely affects the productivity of the land. It causes several ill-effects.
The biggest irony is that we know it.

“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers”. I truly believe in this quote by Rudyard Kipling. We don’t even need to ask her for anything, she is just always there. There is nothing better than the mother’s love and affection. Her happiness lies in our laughter and smiles.
The reason why every Mother is special is that her heart is full of unconditional love for her child. There is no other special bond in the world like a bond shared between a child and a mother. For nine months she nurtures a child in her womb and smiles at the first glimpse of her child. From the day we are born she protects us in her arms.

I love you mother.

The first man-made plastic was created by Alexander Parkes who publicly demonstrated it at the 1862 Great International Exhibition in London. The material, called Parkesine, was an organic material derived from cellulose that once heated could be molded and retained its shape when cooled.

At that time no one think that this step could lead to be a poison for the same world.
Toxic chemicals leach out of plastic and are found in the blood and tissue of nearly all of us. Exposure to them is linked to cancers, birth defects, impaired immunity, endocrine disruption and other ailments.

Let's now take a step opposite and try to minimize its usage from our everyday life.
Can we live without it?

Today is Durga Asthami and this is a great day of Navratri. May mother Durga bless you all.
As we that in some regions, the Goddess Chamunda appeared on this day from the forehead of Mother Durga and annihilated Chanda, Munda, and Rakthabija (the demons who were associates of Mahishasura). The 64 Yoginis and Ashta Nayikas or matrikas (the eight ferocious form of Goddess Durga) are worshiped during the Durga Puja rituals on Mahashtami. The Ashta Nayikas, also known as Eight Shaktis, are interpreted differently in different regions of India. But ultimately, all the eight goddesses are incarnations of Shakti. They are the same powerful Divine Feminine, representing different energies.

The Ashta Nayikas worshiped during Durga Puja are Brahmani, Maheswari, Kaumari, Vaishnavi, Varahi, Narasinghi, Indrani and Chamunda.

A good smile is God’s gift to you. It reveals your inner joy. It means that when you are thankful to God you naturally smile.

A smile is not just an expression of your joy; but it also helps spread happiness. In that sense, if you smile well you are making this world a better place to live in. Imagine, if all the people you met each day would smile. How great would be the sense of happiness it brings to all!

A smile, it is said, is of no use unless it is given away. It may just take a few seconds for you to gift a smile to someone. But the memory of that smile, the cheer and hope it might have given to that person would last a lifetime. Indeed, the richest man or woman in this world is poor if he or she cannot gift a smile!

Oh, what he is looking into, so surprised. He is living into Rajaji National Park, a better place for wild life animals , then? Hmm..can you identify the reason.
Well, there are more than 200 species of owls found in the world. In India alone, there are around 33 species of owls found in every kind of habitat.
Did you know owls can swoop through the air without making a sound? Their specially designed feathers are lighter and softer around the edges, so they can fly noiseless.

Let's talk about his living place.
Rajaji National Park was officiated as a national wildlife reserve in the year 1983 when three separate wildlife sanctuaries, namely Motichur, Chilla and Rajaji Sanctuaries were merged into one.

The Park is governed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of Uttarakhand and is home to various protected animals and plants.

Rajaji is also a stop for migratory birds who are bound north during the winters.
