It was great to meet with Deputy Premier @jackietrad today. Thank you to South Brisbane locals and Our Living Outback supporters, Serge, Phil and Tim for coming along to deliver our message and this beautiful Outback Queensland book full of signatures 📖📖 We’re calling on the Queensland Government to invest programs that support people working hard to care for the magnificent wildlife and landscapes in our Outback. We’re calling on the Government to support landholders by expanding the Nature Refuges program, grow the successful Indigenous Land and Sea Ranger program and create new well-managed National Parks for all Queenslanders. 🌅🌿🦜🌱

Did you know the Palm Cockatoo is Australia's largest cockatoo, weighing in at up to 1.2 kgs? These endangered birds live on Cape York and need very specific tree hollows to nest in, meaning they have a low breeding rate.
Be wary of the cassowary! Actually, the reputation these birds have is mostly undeserved. Cassowaries are generally shy, but are capable of inflicting serious (and sometimes fatal) injuries with their feet when provoked. ⠀
