So I’m doing abit of an appreciation post to a gym I’ve been going to for the past 10 weeks @v1befitness - Being an extremely busy PT with a full diary, having a second job on top & trying to fit my training in alongside the motivation became a real struggle for me, I wasn’t doing at cardio to keep myself fit I couldn’t motivate myself AT ALL, after trying different gyms & different classes I was realising nothing was working for me or my schedule, being an instructor previously myself I found it hard to find a class that challenged me, I would stick to and enjoy going to, I came across @v1befitness on Instagram & decided to give it a go as they offered out a free taster class & I thought what’s the worst that can happen I don’t like it? So I went one Saturday morning & after the class I joined as I absolutely loved it ! All the instructors are ace, every class is different, the music is blasting & everyone’s there to smash their session. The classes are only 30 or 45 minutes depending on what time you go there are morning, dinner time & evening classes...they also offer out a MYZONE belt for you to use in the class which monitors your heart rate & allows you to push to your absolute limits & is up on the screen for you to see- it actually makes you realise when you think you’re pushing to your limits you’re probably not, when you feel like giving up more than likely you won’t do as there’s people next to you. So I just want to say a massive thank you for to the instructors bein so good at what you do & the gym for the amazing classes, when I thought I couldn’t find anything to motivate me & stick to... V1BE saved me lol!! I’ve noticed a massive increase in my fitness & lost fat from very stubborn places & leaned out ! I push myself to my limits weekly & constantly try to be stronger & beat my previous weights I am always wanting to push myself & be better & stronger - it’s such a good feeling when my hard work & consistency pays off & I lift more weight than a previous time- today I beat all my reps for the weights I did 😜💪🏻😏 people never expect me to be strong only being 4ft 11 & weighing 60KG ohhhhh how wrong were you all 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️ 42KG RDLS (10) 75&80KG FRONT SQUAT (10) 85KG (7)

People wana change but don’t wana work for it, people wana build muscle but won’t do what it takes & then get down about not reaching their goal. I’ve trained my ars off literally regards to legs & glutes for 3.5 years now my training isn’t easy & a lot of people wouldn’t be able to hack it & that’s being said in the most humble way I have an extremely strong mindset when it comes to wanting to achieve my goals, sometimes I don’t know whether or not I’m guna be able to move the weights sometimes but I just think Fuk it and go for it 😂😂😂 you need to push yourself way past what you think you are capable of , you need to be consistent every week, don’t give up, work hard & it will come ✅💪🏻 The majority of people think they train hard & they actually don’t. Fancy a full body workout ? Not much equipment or machines needed 💪🏻✅🙌🏻
ROUND 1: 20 banded squats into 20 banded side steps back into 20 squats & do another 20 side steps (on your side steps sit as low as possible and push the band as far out as you can) HAVE MINIMAL REST INTO 10 press ups, 25 tricep dips & 20 Spider-Man’s ROUND 2: 20 banded goblet squats once done put the dumbbell down and go straight into 20 abductors (sitting as low as you can and pushing the band as wide as you can) straight into 20 bent over row then finish with 20 squat to press ROUND 3: 25 rope crunches into 15 side bends each side & finish off with a banded plank (20 reps) ✅💪🏻 COMPLETE EACH ROUND 2/3 TIMES HAVE MINIMAL REST BETWEEN ROUNDS TO MAKE YOUR WORKOUT INTENSE & ALWAYSSSS USE WEIGHTS THAT YOU STRUGGLE IN YOUR LAST FEW REPS 👍🏻

Here’s some band work exercises for you to put into a workout 🙋🏼‍♀️💪🏻✅ due to an injury my clients needed to do a lighter session so I implemented lots of band work targeting glutes & abductors ✅ resistance bands work by adding resistance that your muscles will have to work against. When you push against a resistance band during an exercise, your muscles have to engage to fight the tension- tension is required when it comes to building lean muscle ✅🏋️‍♀️💪🏻 @kellyann151097 & @georgiamaesmith

People are quick to spend £150 on some new trainers for the gym but not even put them to use, or £200 going on a night out not forgetting it will make them feel like crap for 2/3 days after & probably consume a shit load of calories and do minimal exercise too 🤔

Over the next 12 weeks I have planned my own programme for legs and glutes, my two heavy days on a Monday & Friday are more compound exercises & anything I do on these days I DO NOT repeat on my isolation session this is more an accessory session big movements such as hip thrusts, squat, leg press shouldn’t be repeated more than twice a week so in my isolation session (I have created two different ones to alternate each week) is more cable work kickbacks, rope pulls etc. I track and log every session so I have something to work on and towards I have also set myself some goals that I want to try and get to by the end of the 12 weeks they are realistic and I like having something to work towards it helps me stay motivated 💪🏻✅🙌🏻 I’ve kept my cardio hiit based where I do classes so it’s not detrimental to my muscle mass these classes are a mix of treadmill rounds, boxing bag work and floor work this will help me get fitter and chip away at some body fat ‼️

FROM SKINNY TO STRONG ‼️ Here are a FEW factors you need to take into consideration when it comes to building muscle (DO’S & DONT) ✅💪🏻 Some factors to consider when your goal is building muscle > ✅
You NEED to be eating in a calorie surplus, this means you are consuming more than you are burning, you need to make sure that when in a surplus it contains clean high protein foods. Consuming carbs and protein after exercise is essential, this will stimulate muscle protein synthesis and improve your recovery. Ideally you should eat within 45 minutes of working out, it's important to not go any longer than 2 hours before eating a meal! Your rest & recovery (R&R) is vital; making sure you get enough sleep each night (7-8HRS) and you are giving your muscles enough rest in between the days you train. Another thing to bare in mind when it comes to your training is you need to be adding weight, try to lift more than you did last time (keep a track of the weights and reps you are lifting) You’ll get stronger which will increase your overall muscle mass. Think about adding in TUT (time under tension) into your workouts - this is when you slow down the pace of your reps and put more strain on the muscle.

Some factors that will NOT help you build
muscle > ❌
Doing a shit loads of cardio!!! Cardio does not build muscle mass! If you do too much cardio it can be detrimental to your muscle mass. You don’t want to be running for long periods of time etc. I keep my cardio hiit based; . Effective HIIT training will help you burn calories, build lean muscle and lose fat! Starving yourself or eating a minimal amount, you need to be including protein, good fats and carbs in your diet. CARBS DO NOT MAKE YOU FAT/GAIN WEIGHT!!! Carbohydrates are your body's main source of energy! Eat them pre and post workout ! You maybe sticking to the same weight & rep range and repeating the same exercises all the time? Switch up your training & push yourself !! If you aren’t struggling towards the end of your reps you aren’t challenging yourself or your muscles !!

How lovely is this off my client who’s moving to Dubai ! When it comes to my clients I do not believe in just giving someone a session, I aim to push that person past what they think they are capable of, constantly correct their form so that they feel confident in what they are doing is correct for if they try on their own, I aim to help people with low confidence grow into having confidence, I aim to make people who are nervous or scared to go in the free weights area not be scared & be confident because through me & my sessions they have been able to build that confidence up, anyone who trains with me knows how much I am a peoples person personal training is a lot more than just giving someone a session 💓🙌🏻💪🏻 I get to help people change their mentality & lives for a job of course I LOVE WHAT I DO FOR A JOB ✅
