Fans of @HBO’s #Succession have a lot of questions: Which kid will inherit the empire? Is this show really about the Murdochs? And perhaps most pressing of all, what the heck is going on with Tom? Matthew Macfadyen, who plays the character to gleeful perfection, is wondering the same thing. After all, Tom isn’t just the sidekick husband to Shiv Roy, the daughter of one of the world’s most powerful media moguls—Tom is running an entire cable network, thanks to his wife. “I don’t know how good he actually is at any of this,” Macfadyen told T&C. “Jesse [Armstrong, the series creator] often comes up to me and says, ‘We have to remember that this man is running a billion-dollar arm of this empire. He can’t be a complete moron.’ But he obviously is a moron, so it’s not easy to do.” Click the link in our bio for our full interview with Macfadyen. The iconic blue and white buildings of Greece may be a patriotic tribute to that nation’s flag, but they didn’t start out that way: One theory holds that blue became ubiquitous because it was cheap and easy to find—a blue-ish cleaning agent was mixed with the white plaster to create the signature hue. 💙 #regram 📸: @travel_a_little_luxe #Oía #Greece
This summer, a new exhibit at Buckingham Palace is bringing Queen Victoria’s era to life, highlighting how the monarch transformed the royal residence into the iconic building it is today. The immersive experience features a hologram projection of the grand Victorian Ball of 1856, based on a painting by Louis Haghe, where you can see figures dance around the room. Also included in the display is the elaborate costume worn by Victoria to the Stuart Ball in 1851, as pictured here.
