Many of us never start the journey because of the uncertainty it carries. We don’t know what it’s gonna take. We don’t know if we can actually make it. We aren’t sure if we have all the right directions, resources, or support.

But we’re generally overthinking it. We are so focused on what we can’t see that we don’t act on what we can.

Don’t let this be you. If you can only see step one, take step one. If you can in see to step three, execute on those steps. And as you move you’ll learn lessons and gain perspective. And with that, you’ll be able to continue on. .

Saturday [November 16] was the @unitednations #InternationalDayforTolerance 🤲🏻. Reminding 💭 us to strengthen 💪🏻 tolerance by nurturing 🌱 mutual understandings, among all cultures 🇺🇳 and peoples 👥. “This is crucial ☝🏻 in a time when violent 🚫 extremism and widening conflicts are increasing ⬆️, and characterized by a complete disregard 🆘 for human life” •

Wednesday [November 13] was #WorldKindnessDay reminding us that we must be kind 💕 to one another, and spread love ❤️ constantly to fight 🥊 the negativity 🙅🏼‍♀️ in this 🌎 world •

All this got me thinking 💭 about how we talk to ourselves 🙍🏼‍♀️. The constant loop ➰ of negative thoughts that go around in our heads 🧠... maybe thinking 🤔 that we could do better 🤦🏼‍♀️, could work harder or faster 🙎🏼‍♀️, could be thinner or more fit or stronger🏃🏼‍♀️, that we aren’t enough 🤷🏼‍♀️, won’t find success we want in our career 👩🏼‍💻, won’t attain the relationships we desire, either personal 👤, familial 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, professional 👥 or romantic❣️... •

We all have those thoughts 😔, maybe some more than others. At some point 📍 everyday, we don’t live 🆙 to our expectations, or things don’t go how we thought 💬 they should.... This triggers 🔫 this loop ♻️ and those thoughts come a 🌪 creeping •

It’s 🆗 when that happens, but when it does, we have to remember 💆🏼‍♀️ to be KIND to ourselves. Take away ❎ the could haves, should haves, would haves and what ifs. Take away your expectations 📝 and accept what is and where you are, with love ♥️. We are all doing our best ✨, but maybe we if we are kinder 🥰 to ourselves , we will be kinder to each other. 📷 @davidsyw1

Form is no where close to being perfect (or safe?) on either pose, but I'm finally getting at least THAT mobility! (And today marks the first day of doing either pose with no pain.) .
I'm taking it slow and only allowing myself that 50% pressure so the healing process takes its safe, natural course. .
Feeling stronger by the day and only a few weeks until I'm cleared to walk! 😎

See My Finger!
Why? Say No to single use plastic, it is killing us in the deep blue sea, and pretty soon it won't be pretty. 
Last Year, around this time, we were in West Palm Beach, Florida and visited a marine hospital for the pets of the sea. 
We were shocked on what single use plastic does to me turtles, fish, all sea animals. 
Help support groups like 4Ocean who are trying to make it a better place. 
I'm a NO plastic straw guy today after my last visit to the water animal hospital for turtles.
I was devastated in how much plastic hurts & kills ocean life. 
We live and breath clean air, blue water, blue oceans and take my clients to clean environments and of course to blue oceans.

P O W E R ☽ O F ☽ C H O I C E
How often do we become a victim of our own choices? We choose to have kids then resent the responsibility. We choose the job and resent the hours. We choose the goal and resent the work it takes to get there. It’s not that we aren’t allowed or supposed to feel frustration or anger or regret ever, but when we become a victim of our choices we give away our power.
Owning what we chose, even when it’s uncomfortable, allows us to step back into our power. Owning our choices, however unconscious, ignorant, and misguided they may have been, is the radical responsibility that fuels agency and action. From this place we can reflect on whether we need to make a different choice moving forward. Falling victim to your own choices is how you get stuck.
There are many things beyond your control and it’s easy to focus attention there. I had a lightbulb moment last month when I owned that the contents of my week were entirely my own choosing. I was suffering, and I chose the circumstances and the attitude that were causing that suffering. I overcommitted, I made poor food choices, I ignored my intuition, and I gave into negativity.
What about your current reality are you choosing? It may be your actions, the way you frame your circumstances, the amount of gratitude or despair you’re showing up with, the degree of resistance or surrender. Let me lovingly invite you to own your choices and take back your power.

How fitting.. I started a new journey today and joined a yoga studio! It’s the most commitment I’ve ever made to yoga even though I’ve always loved it. I worked all day and as the end got closer I had made at least 20 excuses as to why I should just go home. But I didn’t I was stronger than my excuses and I got my butt there! I’m so glad I did! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2,3ヶ月ぶりにお会い出来て嬉しかった!

マタニティと産後では、かなり雰囲気も内容も変わります。マタニティは出産に向けての準備がメイン、産後は身体の回復がメイン。

症状も産前産後で変わってくるので、それに合わせたものを。

どちらも共通しているのは、たっぷり吸って、全て吐き出す、この大きな呼吸と共に動くこと。自分の身体と気持ちを大切にすること。

産後ヨガでは赤ちゃんは泣いて全然大丈夫。ママの息抜きに是非お気軽に遊びにきて下さいね! ******

All throughout my #pregnancy, I consistently practiced the art of #yoga. Yoga during pregnancy is beneficial mentally, emotionally and physically. That was the one time every day that I was able to step outside of time, step away from my other two #children, away from my #husband, and focus on me. From the first #trimester all the way to my due date, I was dedicated. Naturally, after delivering my beautiful baby, I thought “no pressure, just gone hop right back into my routine in a few weeks. Well 4 weeks later, as I attempted to do a basic sun salutation, I cried in absolute disbelief. I couldn’t do it. I physically was no longer able to hold myself together even though I was 20+ lbs lighter and no longer pregnant. I felt so ashamed, disappointed and just like a failure. As soon as I allowed myself to cry, to exist in that space, it dawned on me that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. I thanked myself for making space to come to my mat (towel 😝). I thanked myself for releasing everything that no longer served me. Every day that I come to my mat, I remind myself that this is a process. I am a process. And I am progressing beautifully 🖤

if you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed by now that 99.9% of my yoga clothes are @lululemon. yes, I worked at lululemon for a long time, and yes, I drank the “cool aid” if that’s what you want to call it. and yes, the quality is that good. let me tell you, I have gotten my $100 value out of every single pair of my yoga pants over the hundreds and HUNDREDS of sweaty workouts I’ve done over the years. but I’m not in love with lululemon because of their pants. I found lululemon at a time when I just graduated college. I had no clue what I wanted in life, or really who the hell I even was. And then lululemon hit me like a fucking wrecking ball. It put me in difficult situations, forced me to have difficult conversations, acknowledge when I sucked at things, and made me get comfortable with being uncomfortable. lululemon doesn’t let its people play small. you have to play big. and if it weren’t for lululemon, I can 100% guarantee you I would’ve never completed my yoga teacher training, completed my MBA, finished the CPA exam, experienced the beauty of living in Colorado, or tried any of the countless fitness classes that I walked into for the first time and sucked at. lululemon gave me confidence. courage. perspective. and showed me that it is always okay to change your mind, set new goals, and FAIL at anything and everything as long as you’re playing big.



so yes, I tried the $25 “lululemon dupes” that everyone is raving about from Amazon. I’m wearing them here. no they’re not bad. they’re pretty cute and the fabric does feel just like align pants. but no. they are not. and never will be lululemon. congrats if you read this far 😆

BALANCE || This word has come to have a strange connotation in our culture. Balance doesn’t necessarily mean to carry all things and everything on your plate at once. ⠀

In theory I always think of balance as an equation. Like if I work so much, and rest so much, eat so much “good” and so much “bad”, save so much or spend so much, if it’s all equal that’s balance. In REALITY, however, it rarely plays out this way. ⠀
-⠀
Sometimes balance can’t be equated, or the length of time we expect to “balance” back out by doesn’t come when we hope.⠀
Just like in balancing postures found on the mat, we may not be perfectly symmetrical when we’re balanced. It’s in our ability to root into stability and yet maintain flexible that we find our fullest expression of BALANCE.⠀

There’s much more to balance than the “static” pose we see or imagine. I’d challenge you to see balance as a center point around which we move, and of course there are days I must challenge myself to see it that way too.

Yoga. It’s been almost four years since I’ve done a proper yoga class. Seems crazy to think about since I use to teach it. I should clarify, I have not done the asana (poses) part of yoga, but I have been doing a whole lot of “off the mat” yoga. .
🧘‍♀️ Well yesterday, I did my first class back since all my surgeries and reconstructions. I did not know what to expect especially with my hip movement, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been so focused on strength training but with minimal stretching because I’m hyper mobile. Everything moved smoothly and I felt very strong and like my old yogi self on the mat! Bodies are amazing and I’m still so proud and in awe of mine. .

You don’t do it’s overnight, you do it a phase at a time, and eventually it grows into a beautiful comfortable space for you. Each person must do it in their own time and at their own pace. Lunedì da leoni o lunedì da dimenticare? 🤗 Com’è andata oggi?

La mia giornata ha avuto entrambe queste fasi, ma nel complesso posso assolutamente dire: lunedì da leoni 💪🏼
Dopo aver quasi lanciato il telefono quando è suonata la sveglia, appena ho preso coscienza ero elettrizzata all’idea di iniziare la giornata, provare per la prima volta gli audiolibri, allenarmi e fare yoga! 😍❤️

Per quanto riguarda gli audiolibri, ho superato le 2 ore di ascolto sfruttando solo i momenti morti e questa cosa mi ha fatto riflettere! Pensate a quanto tempo spendiamo ogni giorno in spostamenti o gesti meccanici 🙈
.
Oggi mi sento più ricca, più presente e mi sembra che la giornata sia molto più lunga del solito! Il libro che sto ascoltando è davvero stimolante! Questo mi dà energia, mi fa venire voglia di muovermi e curiosità di sperimentare cose nuove ❤️

Com’è andato il vostro lunedì? È bello poter inserire qualche piccola novità per superare il trauma di inizio settimana non credete?
