These clips were recorded right at the end of my workout and my arms were on fire 🔥 and shaking at this point so my form may be a little compromised! 🤷‍♀️ My lil vein on my bicep makes a cameo appearance in some of the clips 👀😂 I apologise about the lighting and angling (my cameraman was taking the micckkkk bless his cotton socks lol) Instagram always trashes the quality of my vids too I actually cannot wait till after New Years so I can invest in some proper recording equipment 🙏 Instagram already blocked me from posting this already. I know I post a lot of ab workouts and circuits...y’all know how much a loveeee a good ab sesh😉.... but I’ve never done a lower an focused workout before!! So here is a combo of some of my faves for targeting those lower abs! ⠀

LETS SMASH THIS SESH👊🏻⠀

Always remember to tuck your pelvis in core exercises!! So for example, if your back is on the ground think of flattening it as much as you can! This helps you to make sure you’re engaging your core properly instead of using accessory muscles to do the exercises! ⠀

1 - knee to squat jump
2 - leg raise pass w/ ball
3 - hamstring curls
4 - hand released press up .

Squats: depth vs weight?!⁣

Ah the age old question whether you should squat a lighter weight if you’re not getting depth or should you squat heavy regardless of depth for best results? The answer seems easy...so why do I see so many people half or quarter squatting?? 😫⁣

You may have heard of the term ass to grass or for short ATG. So if you’re gonna take away one thing from this post it’s that the crease of your hips should go past the top of the knee cap. And if you can’t do that you best be lightening your load ☝🏻.⁣

Why? Because that’s powerlifting standards 🤷🏼‍♀️. But if you don’t care about that, a deep squat ensures maximized muscle activation of your glutes and quads which means more muscle growth!! It also strengthens your knees and improves flexibility of your hips and ankles. If your limited by your flexibility then start putting in the work to improve your mobility with daily stretching. But in the mean time here’s some quick tips on how to get depth:⁣
🍑Take a slightly wider stance⁣
🍑Point the toes outwards more⁣
🍑Focus on driving your knees outwards ⁣

If you don’t have the mobility to squat ATG then don’t force it but you should AT LEAST be squatting parallel regardless of how much weight!! Heavy weights and progressive overload is not beneficial if you’re not engaging your muscles fully 🙃

▪️Good mornings on Hack Squat
Yep 👍🏻 hamstrings on fiyah! 🔥 This stretching/lengthening of the hamstrings is phenomenal 🥵. I am staying in the lengthening phase for a couple seconds before raising up (not all the way) and then immediately lowering back into the stretch. Try tilting your tailbone up towards the ceiling for an even greater ham stretch. My glutes also kick in a little as well 🤫😬
▪️Plate Holding Sissy Squats
I am holding a plate to work my quads (glutes as well). If you are uncomfortable you can also place a mat across the top of your feet and under the foot pad for more cushion.
▪️Adductor Machine
Try doing this while lifting your pelvic floor (kegel🤭). I begin sitting upright and then lean back onto the back rest.
▪️Hamstring Curl Machine
I perform this by curling both feet together and then alternating legs when lengthening the hamstring. Do this slowly and mindfully! Finish with curling both legs together.

✨Barbell Military Press✨ One of my favs for shoulders because I absolutely suck at them 😂 One of the hardest exercises for me to progressively overload. Always a work in progress for me, even during pregnancy.

It’s funny, during pregnancy I’ve noticed certain lifts I’ve lost strength but others I’ve kept. For example, my military press and bench press are not as strong but my dumbbell shoulder press and chest press are still going strong!💪🏼 Tips‼️
➡️ start with barbell at chest height with a pronated grip just outside shoulder width. Forearms should be pointing straight down, perpendicular to the floor/bar
➡️ feet shoulder width apart with a slight bend in the knee
➡️ engage your core and push the bar overhead until your arms are straight
➡️ lower down slowly to reach your collarbone before pressing again
➡️ throughout the movement, try to keep knuckles facing the ceiling and wrists straight
➡️ avoid any arching in the low back. If you find you are bouncing, to assist with lifting, try squeezing your glutes to keep your rep strict

I am back.... again!
I know that part way through December is an odd time to “get back on it”, but my theory is that if I get a head start on January then I’m already in the right mindset and have three weeks already done.
Although I’m BB only taking it easy because my hip still doesn’t feel 100% right, and the last time I came to the gym I could barely walk the day after #oldladyproblems
Also I’m kinda feeling Tails the Fox vibes with this hair... anyone?🌟 ____________________

Another oldie but a goodie
Swipe + 📌 for when you’ve got 20 min .
All you need is 20 min, a mini band and a jump rope to get sweaty w this quick lower body workout ✌️.
.
So go on set a timer for 20 min and repeat this circuit as many time as possible in those 20 min .
The workout :
- 10 rev monster walks - 10 fwd monster walks
- 8 lateral jumps to the right - 8 to left
- 20 plank jacks - 1 min of skipping
Take as much rest as you need to but remember the timer is still running so get to the next round as quick as possible .
Lemmenoe if you give it a go 🙋🏼‍♀️.

How many of us have those promises to start doing something from Monday. I believe every single person had such thoughts before or still have them in their heads. And guess what... It's Monday today. No excuses for sure now, just make yourself leave favourite cozy sofa with warm tea and biscuits. Do something right now, so then next time you could see how far you managed to make it. Ideal is not to wait for next Monday, next week, or next year. You have a huge potential to be successful in something if you start right now. All you need to do is motivate yourself in the right way. That's the toughest step to do. But once you manage it, you will succeed.❤️

I haven't done this back exercise in a while and I had no reason other than "i ve just forget about it" 😂
Close neutral grip lat pull down- I think this is how you call it😂
Lets talk a lil about having a wide back:
Many women are sooo afraid of growing their lats because they "nu vreau să mă lățesc în spate". Like, why not?? A wider back gives you the V shape and it makes your waist look smaller! Girls, don't be afraid of growing a wide back especially because we, women, don't have the genetic and the body shape to grow a huge back. Yes, you can make it big, but this "big" is so individual. Also, if I don't flex my back muscles you won't even tell that I have some😂 and lets be honest, we don't walk on the street with our back flexed (most of us don't😂). So girls, work on that back like you work on that bootyyy. 🍑

So I always HAVE to make my abs session a combination of HIIT because frankly, I hate training them. It's dreadful. So I start by doing sprint intervals on the treadmill for about 5 minutes. Then I do abs circuit 3-4 times. Then I repeat! .

☃️ Treadmill sprints: 20 seconds on/10 seconds off for 5 minutes. This is deadly. I was DYINGGG.
☃️ Hollow Body Holds: 40 seconds. Keep your core TIGHT and engaged
☃️ Tempo Cocoons: 15 reps
☃️ Stability Ball Mountain Climbers: 15-20 reps each. Keep your core tight to keep the stability ball from moving
☃️ Stability Ball Pass Crunches: 15 reps
☃️ Stability Ball Pikes: 15 reps
Repeat 3-4 times!! .

Good morning from my sleepy self. I had a very good leg workout today. My legs are dead lol

3️⃣ kettleball deadlift. These work best elevated. I only wish my gym had a heavier kettleball 😩

Had the best #legday I’ve had in a long while today! Switched some things up to where I still split leg days between #compoundexercises and #isolationexercises, but now on compound day I’m focusing hard on hammies (laying #legcurls, seated leg curls and #stifflegdeadlifts) after pre-exhausting my legs. Finished up with these #hacksquats and wide-stance #legpress. Felt great! I feel my lower-back is tight though so it’s just a remind not to neglect that in back day. Happy Monday y’all! 😁💪🏽 #happymonday #legdaybestday

I was around 8 years old the first time I went to the gym. I’ve been told I was a very hyper child so this was one of the ways of getting rid of of excess energy (the other was running around the house). I owe my love for working out to my dad I think. It was our bonding, our Saturday morning routine followed by protein shakes and Mythbusters.

3. Join a class
4. Plan out your week with classes / events to look forward to in advance

It’s ok if you have to modify.
And when you’re distracted by the noise on the baby monitor because they wake up as soon as you press play, keep going.
All your kids see is a momma who’s fighting for herself and her goals.
They see YOU.
Strong.
Capable.
Committed.
The perfect example of a fighter.

Let’s talk about the “I’ll start when xyz” mindset. How often do you find your self saying “eh, I’ll start my diet monday”. Or “I’ll start that paper tomorrow”...and then pushing it off even further😬 .

This can be such a toxic mindset, particularly when it’s in the context of training or nutrition🍎 I can promise you, binging on sunday, before you start your insanely restrictive diet on Monday, is NOT the way to reach your goals🙅🏼‍♀️ .

Try this approach instead:

1️⃣ Starting a program or new routine not when you think you’re “ready” but when you know you should. Because believe me, you will never feel ready☝🏼
2️⃣Create sustainable and attainable goals
3️⃣ Stick to a PLAN
Switching your diet and workout program can really hinder your progress. So get on a plan, and stick to it!

Started out as a back & bi day, and turned into a full upper body workout. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lately, I have only been working out 2-3 times per week. I usually do 1-2 lower body days and 1 -2 upper body days, depending on the week! I prefer to do a full upper body to make sure I’m targeting all muscle groups. 🤗

I always tell my clients, you don’t HAVE to workout 5-6 times per week to see results and live a healthy lifestyle. Pick a frequency that you can be consistent with! Being in my third trimester, 2-3 times a feels best for me! 💫
