Progress is patience. We always want our results to come quickly but the results that come quick also leave quick. I utilize a progressive overload for my hip thrusts and my weight varies depending on if I use the smith machine or if I use a bar. This is the breakdown of my sets as it compares to the previous week:
Warm up set
12x90lbs
10x180lbs
8x230lbs
5x270lbs

For this week I only added one rep(6x270lbs) to my last set and incorporated a hold at the end. That’s it! Don’t make it too complicated. Progression isn’t always going to be this huge milestone. Sometimes it’s a small strategic change that allows for your body to properly and safely surpass the previous demands you’ve placed on the muscle. ————————————
Here are some other forms of progression:
🔹Increase weight which the obvious choice or add resistance by using a band or hip circle. .
🔹Increase sets or like above reps on specific exercise. This could be within your workout or even looking at your overall sets throughout your entire week. .
🔹Increase frequency of training for that particular muscle. Maybe instead of twice a week you one more day. .
🔹Shorten your rest time between sets but be careful to ensure safety first. .
🔹at the end of the day though, if you’re not patience none of this will work

This is something that came to me after reading a devo this morning. One of the verses was Jeremiah 29:11-12 my thoughts - “It’s about finding our identity in Him. Putting our Faith in Him. Everything else will always fall short. Crossfit, friends, wives.... we can’t rely on things of this world. I tend to get in my own head especially with competition. I let it control and define me sometimes instead of just trusting in His timing.
God as our foundation will continue to bring joy and peace in all that we have and do. Giving thanks in the good times but also in the hard times. The hard times are where God gives those gainz and shapes us. 💪🏼”

This is something that came to me after reading a devo this morning. One of the verses was Jeremiah 29:11-12 my thoughts - “It’s about finding our identity in Him. Putting our Faith in Him. Everything else will always fall short. Crossfit, friends, wives.... we can’t rely on things of this world. I tend to get in my own head especially with competition. I let it control and define me sometimes instead of just trusting in His timing. 
God as our foundation will continue to bring joy and peace in all that we have and do. Giving thanks in the good times but also in the hard times. The hard times are where God gives those gainz and shapes us. 💪🏼”

Try this quadriceps focused leg workout to get those swooped quads🍗

1️⃣ Front squat: 3 x 15 -> Focus on pushing through your heels and dare to sit into the squat!
2️⃣ Stationary lunges: 3 x 10 (each leg) -> take medium steps and try to keep your lower leg perpendicular to the floor
3️⃣ Bulgarian split squat: 4 x 10 (each leg) -> Keep your trunk upright
4️⃣ Box jumps: 3 x AMRAP -> Try to land with the same knee angle as you initiated the jump
5️⃣ Bench step up: 3 x 12 -> switch the leg you put up first in the middle of your set

Pace yourself and make sure the repetitions are of quality rather than quantity. 10 rounds of Pull-ups/Push-ups/Dips (except I'm doing rope pressdowns instead of dips). I keep the reps between 10-12 on the exercises and I rest for 20 seconds.

Most people are super busy and just getting a workout in is an accomplishment on it's own. Family, kids, school, social life etc can pull you all over the place. Your best bet is to book in a time and try your best to stick to it. You and everyone around you will get to know this as your "gym time" even if it's tough at first, your body will adapt😊. Early in the morning is popular because you probably haven't gotten sidetracked by anything or gotten stuck on a call or in a meeting. It's tough though because we're so lethargic in the morning. (Once you're there it's not so bad)😊. At lunch is a good option if you've got responsibilities in the morning and even (ie kids). You've got to have some flexibility to take a long lunch though and have to schedule it assertively. Evening is nice because you might have more time, be in a better mood and the gym is a bit more social then. On the other hand, you might get stuck late at work or just be drained from your long day. Everyone is different and you've got to choose what's best for you - AND STICK TO IT!!! Don't go 2 days and give up and try another time. Give it a chance. Sure, there are minor hormonal difference throughout the day that can affect your performance but unless you're a professional athlete, these will not be significant. Your body will burn just as many calories at night as in the morning 😉 .

⁣The central nervous system (CNS) is responsible for the orderly recruitment of motor neurons, beginning with the smallest motor units.[1] Henneman's size principle indicates that motor units are recruited from smallest to largest based on the size of the load. For smaller loads requiring less force, slow twitch, low-force, fatigue-resistant muscle fibers are activated prior to the recruitment of the fast twitch, high-force, less fatigue-resistant muscle fibers. Larger motor units are typically composed of faster muscle fibers that generate higher forces.[2] ⁣⁣⁣⠀

Secondly, the number of muscle fibers controlled by a motor unit increases exponentially with recruitment order.
