I definitely thought that today was Friday, and since it’s not I’m going to make a batch of this Hot Chocolate Granola & eat half of it off the tray to console myself. I’m also going to toss a handful of chocolate chips AND mini mellows straight into my mouth before adding them to the pan because y’all, I was really wanting today to be Friday😳😫

I have a to-do list that’s about a mile long and it includes many things I thought I’d get done before she arrived (including renewing my now-expired driver’s license). Some days I can get to one or two things and other days none. Productivity is in my nature, so much of who I was before but now I’m learning to let the time pass doing nothing but holding her a little longer, soothing her to sleep in my arms, getting lost just staring at her. GUYS, I’M THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE! I was waiting soooo much for this moment! My @pipandnut jars just arrived and the first thing I did was to make my breakfast (swipe to see) with a huge dollop of the pumpkin spice almond butter (ordered two bc why not, hehe🤗). I’m loving it and actually thriving to taste the others!
Today is such a gloomy, cold autumn day, perfect for a biiig warm bowl of apple cinnamon oats (1/2 cup oats, 1tbs chia, 1tbs flax meal, 1tbs baobab powder and 1/2 ts maca powder, 1ts cinnamon, black raisins, 1 scoop pea protein, unsweetened oat milk by @alpro and 1/2 grated zucchini) topped with @pipandnut almond butter, cacao nibs and pumpkin seeds. AMAZING! Try this combo! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Хорааааа, аз съм най-щастилвия човек на земятаааа! Чаках толкова много този момент! Моите буркани от @pipandnut току-що пристигнаха и първото нещо, което направих, беше да направя закуска (вижте другите снимки) с мноого от пъмпкин спайс бадемовото масло (поръчах две бурканчета, защо не, хехе🤗). Обижавам го и нямам търпение да опитам другите!
Днес е такъв мрачен, студен есенен ден, идеален за огромна топла купа с овесени ядки с ябълка с канела (1/2 чаша овесени ядки, 1 супена лъжица чиа, 1 супена лъжица ленено семе, 1 супена лъжица баобаб на прах и 1/2 ч. Л. Мака на прах от @zoyabg, 1 ч. Л. канела, черни стафиди , грахов протеин, неподсладено овесено мляко от @alpro и 1/2 настърганa тиквичкиa, гарнирани с маслото от @pipandnut, какаови зърна и тиквени семки. НЕВЕРОЯТНО! Опитайте тази комбинация, ако още не сте! 😍

Being productive. Meeting goals. Following dreams. Sometimes, the best choice for me is to just skip one bad habit.
Today, I will eat better or at least, eat less bad. There have been some more tempting things around lately, and I can feel it — not only weight but headaches, sluggishness, aches, and avoiding some minimal chores.

Switching on my default brain .

It just occurred to me that during recovery I sometimes have to switch on my default brain. At times when choosing food is tricky I tend to overthink options. “That looks nice. Oh but it has more calories. I should choose the other one. Ohhh THAT ONE looks goooood. But it has the least calories and I don’t want to choose it because of that.” Bla bla bla. .

Today is one of those days. I was starving, then I felt bloated and lost my appetite. After overthinking a million times I got soup because I know I like probably any soup. And bread because soup without bread isn’t debatable in recovery. .

“It’s okay to feel like this. If you choose something you don’t like you can choose something else after. Or next time.” Default brain on. “I know I like soup” - walks self to pay for meal.

I can’t lie, I drink smoothies on the reg - I even had one this morning!😋But for one of my clients, she was 100% burnt out on smoothies🍓. She tried every diet under the sun, and several past programs had her drinking smoothies for brekkie & lunch. At first this worked out great and she dropped a few lbs quick (this is NOT sustainable or recommended🚫), but as the weeks went on, she began to feel bored with smoothies.🍌Her eating routine was lacking variety (can you imagine eating the same breakfast and lunch week after week?!🤔), but she felt she couldn’t eat other foods for breakfast & lunch as they didn’t fit into her program rules😬. This left her feeling unsatisfied most days as she bored with smoothies. ⠀

Lots and lots of salad (speed) plus tesco meat free burgers (free) avocado (5 syns) and dressing (3.5 syns). Had a syn free dinner and a 2 syn breakfast for a total of 10.5 syns yesterday. New York, New York 🌱😍 Sweet Curry bowl! 📷 by @plantbasedrd 🚨🚨Recipe: 2 cans chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 15 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1/2 red onion, diced
1 inch fresh ginger, minced
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 1/2 tbsp curry powder (try to find good quality blends for more impressive flavors)
1 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice
Juice of half a lemon
2 Yukon gold potatoes, diced
3 cups vegetable broth
Salt and pepper to taste

For the instant pot just add all these ingredients, seal and hit manual pressure for 15 minutes for nice creamy and thick curry. For stove top, add onions to a medium pot and sauté until softened. Add in garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant. Add in a splash of veggie broth and the curry spice. Stir and allow spices to become fragrant, 1-2 minutes. Add in chickpeas, potatoes and tomatoes. Stir to combine then add in remaining ingredients except lemon. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Allow to cook for about 25 minutes or until curry has reduced and thickened. Squeeze juice of lemon over top and serve. ❤️ Paired this with avocado, Forbidden Rice, and broccoli.

korean bibimbap-
bibimbap is one of my fav korean dishes. i usually order it at a local restaurant of mine, but today i decided to take a healthier spin on it. so simple and easy to make:) -
🌟organic white basmati rice 🌟organic white button mushrooms
🌟1 whole large carrot 🌟frozen chopped spinach 🌟 @traderjoes coconut aminos
i cooked the rice, sautéed the mushrooms and frozen spinach and peeled the carrot. i added the shavings into the sauté, sprinkled in some coconut aminos and that’s all!:) happy thursday ✨

I 100% believe in never taking life to seriously! Laughing really makes me feel so free and so happy. I mean who has ever felt sad or stressed or anxious while laughing and truely being in those moments.

The thing is... I haven’t always been like this. When I lost my dad I went through a time where I felt so serious and like I had lost all the fun I had inside me. I didn’t know how to dig back into that part of myself and express laughter or that sense of happiness anymore. But I honestly feel like the last year I have slowly started to feel it again and am allowing myself back into that part of me. It really makes me realise how much I love this feeling. -

So I challenge you if you have been taking life a bit to seriously take some time to find the humour in the smallest things and bring a bit of laughter into your day. It really does make such a difference. 🤪👏🏼

On the left I was 9st 7lb (ish). On the right I am 13st 7lb.

My whole life my weight has gone up and down like a yo-yo. I was always a comfort eater. With no excuses shit had happened over the last 4 years and I literally gave up on myself.
I have virtually lost every bit of self confidence I possibly had, if there was any there in the first place.
I was on weight watchers for years and years but eventually go out of the habit and slowly regained any weight I lost.

Hello ! We are heading back to Melbourne super early in the morning for my brothers wedding this weekend. It’s going to be busy so I apologies if my posting schedule gets a little thrown off. Lyla is my daily reminder that I’m here to prepare her for the good and difficult times that she will encounter as she grows into the beautiful young woman she will one day become

Lyla is thriving in every way. She’s just about ready to take off with her new shoes 👟. She reaps the benefits of grandma’s cooking skills
Lyla’s meals which I prepare for her, include organic king salmon, cod, lentils, buckwheat, broccoli 🥦,and every other healthy vegetable. Lyla Loves💕to eat

On any given Saturday you can find the both of us in #wholefoods picking out her weekly menu. Of course she does not understand that we need to pay for the food, before she attempts to eat everything.
In the end , Lyla is so happy that once we do reach the register, she starts throwing kiss 💋 to the cashier.

You can’t live a full life on an empty stomach 😉

Decided to try make some French toast yesterday using flaxseeds in the place of eggs 💪🏼. So I kept coming across the word “Flaxegg” and I thought, hmm probably another expensive alternative🙃! But I found 500g of flaxseed powder for 30 bucks 😱. Anywhooo.
Flaxseed is high is Fibre and Omega 3s 😬 and along with being an amazing egg substitute 🥚 it can be added to basically anything!

1 mashed banana
2 tbspn Flaxseed Powder
1 cup Soy Milk
1 tspn cinnamon
1 tspn vanilla essence

It's called snooniyeh from the Arabic word "أسنان" which means "teeth", because vibrant bowls like this one were served to celebrate the beginning of a toddler's teething stage! It's nutrient-packed, extremely filling, low in calories, and packs a punch of flavours and textures. It's naturally sweetened with honey and can even be topped with honeycomb which would compliment the pistachios perfectly. 😍👌 We grew out our teeth a long time ago 😂 but we still love to enjoy a bowl of these beautiful ingredients for a nutritious breakfast or even as a satisfying snack!

Crispy baked fries! 🍟I got a bunch of questions last weekend when I shared these in my stories so I had to make them again to 📷 Serving these with baked fish sticks (recipe coming next week!) and the kid in me is very excited 😍
Recipe:
1 large potato, sliced

Currently heading to a hotel breakfast buffet here in Santa Fe but I'm instesd wishing I had this bowl in hand 😍 I'm always missing my oats the most when I travel. Anyone else have a meal they miss when traveling?
mom and I have plans to go to @meow__wolf today and then tomorrow we are doing a spa day at @ojospa (super excited for that!💆‍♀️). I'll be sure to take you guys along in stories. Happy Hump Day!
