5 STEPS TO FAT LOSS by @vikingtrainingnutrition

Want to know the basics of fat loss? ⬇
.
1.Make sure you’re getting enough protein. Aim for at least 1g/lb/day, should be increase with age .
2. Make sure you’re in a calorie deficit (bw x10-14 is a good starting point) this WILL have to be adjusted as you go. Make sure you are getting in up to 10 servings for fruit and vegetables for health and five to feel full
.
3. Avoid hidden calories. Don't drink your calories, stay away from sodas and juice. Go instead for water, Black Coffee or Black Tea (no cream and sugar)
.
4. Lift heavy weights and don't prioritize them over machines! Don't spend your whole workout sitting down! Progressive over load on big lifts is what makes the body change .
5.Consistency: keep your goals at the forefront of your mind, and stay on track. KNOW it's important too you. If you make a mistake, except it and move on. .
Keep doing it regularly and I guarantee it will become second nature .

100lb one handed snatches and some "whoa" dancing for today's workout at @ironandstonegym no straps , no sleeves , no wrist wraps just PURE MOBILITY! 💪💪💪 haven't did these in so long I thought I was out of my prime but glad to know my body is still mobile and functional after so much time off serious gym training on my way back to peak performance !!! And I'm coming for the top of the throne this time! hey @ironaddict3 is this crazy enough for you yet ? 🤣🤣🤣

#Backday y’all. We got it poppin. Videos are not sequential. I just like how my back looked in the pulldown video 😂😂😂 The crew came through too. @inthepurestform Lat pulldowns, rack pulls, bent rows, cable rows, back flies and curls. It was fun. Haven’t done anything more than 5 reps or so in a couple weeks. And haven’t had this much variety in training in months. Loved it. Glad not to be prepping for a competition.....but I will be again soon. Keep y’all updated. Ya les había dicho que sentí de todo y pues aquí va la evidencia de lo vivido.

No es la mejor competencia pero digamos que se cumplieron varios objetivos ✌️ Fui segunda🥈 y estuve tratando de estar lo más cerca posible de la primera .
.
Lo bueno es que mejoré mi marca en envión como sea que haya resultado.
Buenísimo visitar Barranquilla con la organización de mi universidad.
.
Lo malo es que no hice mi mejor marca en arranque y por ende tampoco mi mejor marca total.
Malísimo, competencias tan extensas en tan solo 3 días con tantos deportistas, solo por pereza de algunos.
.
Lo feo 😏 la técnica no fue la mejor y aunque existe un motivo, no me gusta ver cómo va cambiando.
También están feos los vídeos pero sé que se esforzaron mucho 😬😅😘 .
Y lo más feo de todo, fue ver universidades, futuros profesionales y deportistas apostando a todo pulmón "a que lo fallas", "a que lo haces"🤘 🤯 . .

Not my best lift, and I was sweating hard from the HIIT workout I did prior to these (I always have to get to the squat rack when at the gym because it’s my fave) so my form and strength suffered a bit. Still working towards being stronger with 1RM on deadlift and back squats. So far my deadlift max is 185# so trying to work towards the 200# club. Don’t mind my face and back sweat. P.S. taking videos of your lifts helps you get a perspective on what your form actually looks like! #getitrightgetittight #chickswholift #weightlifter #naturalbodybuilder #bulkingseason #roomforimprovement

👉 working on different set types, i had to choose an upperbody workout set due to my hip and cant do any lower body stuff, so shoulders was my chosen body part and i selected to do a super set of dumbell snatches and side raises killer !!👌

📚super sets - these are sets that are performed one after each other on the same muscle group, the idea is to increase the intensity with no rest inbetween and deplete and overload the muscle quicker !!

47 years young!!
This was my 2nd comp for 2013.
And although my body was in incredible pain & screaming at me to stop the grueling training & diet if I hadn’t competed for a 2nd time I don’t believe I would have recovered from depression, anxiety & substance abuse.
All of which I still suffered from on this day!!
.
BUT as I had now undertaken 9 months straight of mindset techniques to find the confidence to do this!!
I had already started recoding my subconscious mind.
I had already started to change the neural pathways in my brain coded for depression, misery & low self worth.
I had already started altering my perception of myself, my body & my life.
And I didn’t even know it!!
I was 12 months of clean eating after 20 years of being malnourished my body & mind was starting to feel the affects of premium health.
.
Although it is another 3 years before I declare myself recovered there was no turning back.
I am so incredibly proud of this version of me.
She was TERRIFIED of being on stage!!
She was driven by vanity & ego.
She competed for all the wrong reasons.
But she still did it!!
.
And she is the reason I am not only fully recovered but she gave birth to the muscle hungry, bad ass fitness model I am today!!
How tiny am I???!!
.
ALL the mindset techniques I teach and still use today are what I used to achieve this milestone in my life.
And are testimony to the power we ALL have between our ears to achieve ANYTHING!!
We just haven’t been taught how to harness this power!!
And this is why I am so passionate about the mindset side of my transformation and why I teach it to all my clients.

🏋️‍♀️Weightlifting Tip: Got a ROUNDED BACK in the clean?🏋️‍♀️ Don't focus on your elbows at the expense of your shoulders. Try a wider grip to flatten your back out. Pick a grip based on your best rack position then make the contact point work after that! Higher elbows doesn't always = better. Flat back > Higher elbows (Although both together is ideal).

Summary: If you’re having an issue with your back rounding just play with a slightly wider grip, I think it’ll help (As it helped me).

1 clean and jerk every minute for 10 minutes. 86 lbs (39 kg). Lots of clean up needed on the power jerk, only been using split jerk as of late. This was about 85 percent. Worked mobility and technique after this. #9yearsold #weightlifter #cleanandjerk #crossfitter #crossfitgames
