#fullfridgefriday We’re heading into the weekend with a stocked fridge and a plan to use up what’s in our freezer and pantry over the next couple of weeks.⁣⁣

2-3 times I year I make a point to inventory the freezer and pantry and incorporate those items into our meal plan. This assures no food waste and that we’ll enter the holiday season with some breathing room.⁣⁣

I didn’t do a full grocery shop this week. Between what is left of our Costco produce from last week and the few fresh items I picked up at Trader Joe’s, we’re all set.⁣⁣

👉🏼 cinnamon almond and blueberry overnight oats
👉🏼 steak, onion, and cheese frittata
👉🏼 philly cheese stuffed peppers
👉🏼 sausage and shrimp with veggies
👉🏼 Greek yogurt with granola

This week, I'll he having my overnight oats and yogurt with granola, like I do most weeks.

I baked the frittata 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣° for 2️⃣2️⃣ minutes (I used a jumbo muffin pan).

In addition to all the actual food, each day I have a whey protein shake after the gym in the morning, and a casein protein shake before bed.

Our weekly meal plan ( I feel so organised having this done on a Friday night I'm usually doing it one minute before walking out the door to do groceries). I've also included our weekly snacks list, everything can be eaten by all of us except for the zuchinni slice as baby and I are egg free. I also substitute dairy out in our baking as were dairy and soy free.
A little fun fact is earlier this year i made an amazing mum friend. We leave our babies with our hisbands and do our grocery shopping together most weeks and the best part is we live around the corner from each other, so we car pool too. Feels so nice to actually see what I have. I feel like when I’m not organized, I tend to keep buying more and more food that we don’t actually need.

My smile has not always been this bright. I am Chisa! I am the mother of six blessings and a survivor of the chaos as well, lol! I have been on this motherhood journey since 2006, and it hasn’t been easy, but I appreciate the lessons along the way. I’ve worked a little in the early years, but eventually became the full-time stay at home mommy.⁣⁣

I wasn’t always so good with managing, let alone a household, and I struggled with learning how to manage my time. There were days I’m not embarrassed to say there was no dinner on the table. We all just ate whatever we could grab out the fridge or cabinets and nuke it. That was no way to live. So I went through epic failures repeatedly when attempting to plan meals for my family.⁣⁣

I kept trying until one day it was in my silence I realized what was missing. I kept attempting to do something off the fly. I didn’t have anything to build from. So hilariously I watched Food Network, and YouTube, but they weren’t giving me enough to build from. I was just seeing the pretty stuff. I thought, “what in the ham slices is this?” Surely other mothers are struggling with the same thing I am. How do I do this and do it right?⁣⁣

Well, I backed up and thought about what I needed to do and then formed a meal prep game strategy and it was so simple I could have slapped myself. There were 3 simple steps that were the soul foundation of meal preparation. When I figured this out and then applied it to my next attempt, failure was no longer. I FREAKIN KILLED IT‼️⁣⁣

I am so passionate about helping mothers in so many areas of their stay at home struggles, but meal prepping takes the cake! I thought if I can get this certainly other moms can too, and that’s what I set out to do. So I set out on an untraditional meal prepping journey and want every mama who has tried but failed to be super DOPE at meal prepping. ⁣⁣

Easy Chicken Taco Soup (Dump Dinner)

This one is SO. EASY. There isn’t even any chopping! Just buy your ingredients, open them up, and dump them in the crockpot or a freezer bag.

This one is perfect to 2x or 3x and throw a few in the freezer for another night. Future you will thank today you!

Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breast
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can black beans, rinsed
1 can pinto beans, rinsed
3T taco seasoning or 1 taco seasoning packet
2 c chicken broth
1 c salsa

Serve with: chips, sour cream, cheese, cilantro

Directions:
Add all ingredients to the crockpot. Make sure chicken is fully covered by broth. Cook on low for 6 hours. Gently shred chicken with fork before serving. To freeze for later, add all ingredients (except the chicken broth) to a freezer bag and let all the air out, seal, and freeze flat. Write on the bag to add in 2c chicken broth when you cook it later.

To cook later, thaw freezer bag overnight in fridge or submerge in water for 20 mins to thaw. Cook on low in crockpot for 6 hours.

Serves 6
Estimated cost: $5.50 per batch

I had Anxiety, fear, and a want to change. That used to be me every new year before this. Until I was too overwhelmed by the machines and people watching thinking i would always be lost and insecure. I’ve actually done a meal planner from tomorrow 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼. My holiday eating is finally coming to an end 😂😂 haha. Should have been from today really but I’m stretching it out for one more day 🙊. I’m on a week of lates which I hate because it means dinner at work every night 💔 but I do have some nice meals planned to keep me on track! Still in for a big gain next Friday when I get weighed, as usual when I’ve been away, but I enjoyed myself and if it is big - SO WHAT! Meal planner is from @princess.planning! As usual:

✏️ I sometimes change my mind as to what’s on there - only if I’ve got the ingredients in and it doesn’t affect my hex’s
✏️ I don’t plan my snacks in advance as I don’t know what I’ll fancy until the day
✏️ I always plan in my healthy extras
✏️ I try to write down a rough idea of syns for certain meals so I know what I’ve kind of got to play with
✏️ Sometimes the meals are repetitive but that’s because my shifts are often all over the place

#fullfridgefriday We’re heading into the weekend with a stocked fridge and a plan to use up what’s in our freezer and pantry over the next couple of weeks.⁣⁣

2-3 times I year I make a point to inventory the freezer and pantry and incorporate those items into our meal plan. This assures no food waste and that we’ll enter the holiday season with some breathing room.⁣⁣

I didn’t do a full grocery shop this week. Between what is left of our Costco produce from last week and the few fresh items I picked up at Trader Joe’s, we’re all set.⁣⁣

You know how Steve Jobs and Obama and Mark Zuckerberg all wore the same thing every day? They say it was to eliminate unnecessary decisions, save brain power, reduce decision fatigue. Sounds like a good idea to me—that’s why I believe in yoga pants, can I get an amen? (Also see: white jeans on any occasion that doesn’t allow for yoga pants.) Around our house, we were gearing up for the school year a few weeks ago, and I realized I was getting REALLY sick of hearing, “What’s for dinner?” Or, tired of coming home and our precious daddy-o had made Mac and cheese, AGAIN. And I made a really crazy decision: we were going to eat the exact same thing for dinner every day of the week.
I knew if this strategy was going to stick, it was going to have to be easy to remember, so I went for my favorite memory-making device: alliteration. I also knew that the recipes were going to have to be kid-friendly AND keto, which is no small task. We have one kid who pretty much hunger strikes until we drive through Chick-fil-a, so coming up with a series of easy, week-night-friendly (read: as little clean up as possible) was going to be a challenge.
The odds were stacked against me.
But good golly, you guys. Not only did it work, but it’s stuck. And my friends keep telling me I’ve got to share this. So, because Insta is the new blogs, here you go:
Monday - Meatballs. Doesn’t matter what kind. We mostly go for Italian, but Swedish, curry, or even hamburgers. They’re just flat meatballs after all. And for my health-nut friends, you can do meatless Mondays.
Tuesday - Tacos. Duh. You knew this was coming, right? We did ground beef for several weeks, and the kids got tired of it, so we did chicken this week and will rotate back and forth.
Wednesday - Breakfast for dinner. WHAT, you say? That’s not alliteration? I was having trouble coming up with something kid friendly, keto, that worked with Wednesday. And you guys, guess what we had at dinner for our WEDDING? Breakfast. So, around our house, it’s Wedding Food Wednesday, which means: BREAKFAST FOR DINNER. Holy ground, if anything ever was. Unahan ko na po, walang dinner kase yung tirang lunch, diretsong pang dinner na po, hehe!

Tapos ko na ang weekly meal menu ko. Kung kulang pa ang mga naiisip mong ulam, don't worry, sagot kita, hehe! Pwedeng pwedeng kopyahin!

Inihaw na bangus kami ngayong lunch at papartneran ko ng ensaladang ampalaya. Tapos may fresh buko juice! Saraaaaaap!

Ano ang mga ihahain nyo ngayong Sunday lunch, mga misis at mommies? Para makakuha rin ng mga ideas ang lahat at baka maisama ko rin sa weekly meal menu ko next week!

Let us help each other! Tulungan tayo para mas maging better nanay, asawa, at tao. Alagaan natin ang mga mahal natin sa buhay. Homemaking is an art. It is also a full time job. Kaya kailangan nating gawin masaya, hassle free, at malinis ang ating tahanan. Sabi nga nila, home is not a place, it is a feeling.
