Cardiff Bay

#Through water and fire" - The Pierhead building opened in 1897 at Cardiff Bay as the headquarters of the Cardiff Railway Company.

From this building, made of distinctive red bricks, the company oversaw the coal exports from once the most prosperous docks in the world.

Pembroke Castle

🎧 Lake House - Silver and Nothing 🎧
.
Sadly enough my holiday is nearly over.
.
I am so happy to be back with my three little ladies again but I do miss how happy I felt in Wales!
.
So here's another throwback to when I visited Pembroke Castle, as it definitely was one of my favourite days ever!
.
Pembroke Castle has a huge map of Wales with all its castles on it and I of course had to take a picture with my favourite one, although Pembroke might've stolen its spot or share it now.

Very happy to be in Snowdonia this week for a training course, it's so beautiful here at this time of year.
We do however have availability for the Discovery Tour on Wednesday and Highlights Tour on Thursday this week, so please get in touch if you'd like to join us.

Cemaes Bay

In this post, you have two Cemaes landmarks in one. The Edwardian (and lovingly restored) lifeboat, the Charles Henry Ashley sits in the foreground and can often be seen sailing through the bay, crewed by the fantastic volunteers who keep this important piece of local history alive. Check out https://cemaesclassiclifeboat.org.uk if you're interested in its history. If you squint into the distance, you can also see the @gwestygadlyshotelcemaes sat proud of the bay. One of the best spots to sit out and eat and drink in the area.

.
🐙 We spent hours driving back south across stunning mountain roads as we feared for our clutch, and pulled into a morrisons car park to desperatley fix our fuel leak. It was all worth it to spend a great evening in a van filled car park, meeting alot of these guys for the 1st time!.

Brecon Beacons National Park

If you prefer smooth water to rushing rapids, you’ll love a lazy day or two on the canal. It’s a lovely place for strolling and boating. Peaceful and rural, with a flavour of times gone by, it’s often voted Britain’s prettiest canal. It passes through a generous swathe of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with appealing towns and villages to visit on the way.

Three Cliffs Bay

ooo, just one more pic from our epic family Adventure with @visitswanseabay. - I couldn't resist sharing this one from our first morning.
As we woke up in our yurt, the sun began to rise, we cracked open some locally roasted coffee, took in a deep breath and just knew we had a fun adventure ahead of us.
Not all Adventures have to be super long, I still can't believe what we did in such a short time. Have you ever gone on a Micro Adventure? I would love to know where and what you made of it? How did it make you feel? I think there's something super special about them.
One thing I know for sure is that we would LOVE to come back soon.

I'm going to start to upload some of the huge amount of pictures I took during my stay in Bangor (I don't know how long I'll keep doing it 😅) This is the Methodist Church of Bangor, just in front of my very friends' @bru_agro and @jehpigatto house, where we used to have some "merienda" meetings.

Llandudno Pier

________________________
Llandudno Pier | Llandudno, Wales | c. 1878

Llandudno Pier is a pier in the seaside resort of Llandudno, Wales. Designed by engineers James Brunlees and Alexander McKerrow in 1878, the Pier extends 2,295 feet into the Irish Sea and is the longest in Wales

Known for its elegant Victorian and Edwardian style, the Pier is made of wrought iron lattice girders resting on cast iron columns and finished in traditional wooden decking. At the end is a deep-water landing stage that has been used for excursions to the Isle of Man and around the North Wales Coast

Many have sailed to and from the Pier over the decades, yet perhaps the most famous to land at Llandudno is Ringo Starr of The Beatles. Aside from legendary rock musicians, the Pier Pavilion has played host to many musical acts and was famous for its orchestral and bandstand concerts

The Pier Pavilion would eventually close down in 1994 after sustaining damage from a fire. Since its construction, the Pier has withstood strains from storms and structural wear and tear, undergoing extensive repairs and renovations to maintain its framework

Today, the Pier is owned and operated by Adam Williams who continues to invest in its structural beauty. Referred by some as the “Queen of Welsh Piers”, Llandudno Pier remains to be a holiday destination
