After an absolute mission to find them as our local Sainsbury's didnt stock them we finally managed to get them.
Getting my 2 year old daughter to eat a meal is a mission in itself. When we came across these meals I was dubious as to whether she would eat them, well she absolutely loves them and demolishs it all and even licks the bowl 🙈
Kiddyum meals come in 5 varieties, they are packed full of flavour and only natural ingredients are used.
And I can definitely agree they taste delicious as I have tried them as I want to know what I am feeding my daughter.

Mutual Free Play. It's a thing, trust. I don't know at what point we became so "grown-up" and serious but it's kinda boring. Cortéz recently found a face painting kit I had left over from his 3rd birthday party and asked if I would paint his face. I thought that would be the end of it but when he asked to paint mine, I realized I hesitated. I didn't want to wash it off later, I needed to make dinner and pick up the apartment, what if he poked my eye...adult brain took over. I decided to get over myself and let him. Trust him and let him feel good about his "work." I wanted to let him know that he could have fun with mamí also, that mamí trusts him with his painting abilities and that we can play freely without rules. He was so happy to do it and LOVED taking pictures. Trying to do more of this. Loving my child and caring for him also includes making room for silliness and for freedom...everything can't be rules. Note to self!

So The Bear has just had his first outside the house tantrum. They’re fun aren’t they?? We took the dog for a walk and we were having such a lovely time, when all of a sudden The Bear decides to start running away from me. This has never happened. I’ve never needed reins. So there’s me and the dog running down the street after a surprisingly quick Bear and all the while praying I don’t piss myself!
So I grab him just before he launches himself onto the road and he turns into a ferral animal. He was screaming, pulling, wiping snot everywhere and then eventually, lay down on the floor.
I did the whole, come down to his level and tried to explain that the road is dangerous and was only met by roars and screams. So I picked him up and said ‘right home!’ He then tried to bolt towards the road again and I grabbed him by the hood but I had also forgotton that I had locked the dogs lead to short so he couldn’t sneak onto the road and when I jerked forward to grab the kid I managed to choke both the dog and the kid at the same time!
Fucks sake! So I grabbed him and threw him over my shoulder and started to walk home. Anyone who looked out of the window would have been quite concerned to see a woman with red cheeks and sweaty top lip, carrying a screaming and kicking child over her shoulder with a bag of dog shit in the same hand that was now resting just under my chin and a poor puppy who was still stuck on a short lead and who was practically walking on two legs!! I’m expecting visits from the RSPCA and the NSPCC tonight!

My little man is gonna be two soon. He's a human sponge at this stage and is constantly learning.
Baby boy was expressing some big emotions aka screaming wilfully. So I inhaled and exhaled exaggeratingly louder than than if I were just calming myself. I even threw in some sound effects so my son could see. Then I smiled as I caught his attention.

Baby boy imitated me by breathing in and breathing out loudly with a swooshing sound. So cute! And just like that, he forgot what he was upset about. 😄

These kids drive absolutely nuts but I would not trade it for the world.

Yesterday, we held our annual family Gingerbread House decorating competition. It will be in a vlog in a few weeks and I’m letting y’all judge and pick the winner!

Side note: these aprons were always in our boxes of Christmas decor growing up. And I vividly remember wearing the little one! How surreal it was putting on the large one last night and tying the small one on my little girl🎄
