Flat dumbbell bench 130-120-110-100
▪️
Incline bench 225-255-225-dropset
▪️
Decline hammer strength (@bramma32 just kept adding plates so 🤷‍♂️ superset with 12 rep lat pulls
▪️
T-bar rows for max weight then a dropset
▪️
Dips, rolly chest fly things and cable row finishing superset.
▪️
Dumbbells usually feel better for my old man shoulders but doing declines on the barbell actually felt good. I think I'm going to switch back to barbell for awhile and see how things progress. Pray for my shoulders homies 😂

Everyone needs to change their workout! If you follow a workout without any change, it can place you in plateau that’s tough to break. Remember, variety is key in training! Change up the following to make sure you don’t plateau in your fitness journey 🔄

1. Sets & Reps - This helps you meet different goals. If you’re going for muscle growth, try exercises in the 1-3 rep range. Try to progressively increase sets and decrease reps.
2. Exercises - Most elite level powerlifters perform a different exercise each week for a certain lift they’re training for. Changing exercises can be as simple as doing barbell bench presses one week and dumbbell bench presses the next.
3. Intensity - A great strategy to use is performing 2 high intensity workouts, one medium intensity, and one low intensity per week.
4. Frequency - For example, during a bulking phase you could workout 4-5 times a week, during a strength phase 3-4 times a week, and during a cutting phase 2-3 times a week. This helps your body not adapt to a certain protocol.
5. Workout Length - You can alternate between your workout lengths within your training weeks or during different phases. For example, you can have 1 hour workouts during your bulking phase and 30-45 minute workouts during the cutting phase.
6. Nutrition - Your training should be based around your diet. You won’t gain muscle if you eat to little the same way you won’t lose fat with a large caloric surplus. Make the correct combinations for consistent gains. .

Today I'm eating quinoa and black beans with sauteed veggies like peppers and red onions in #jerkspices I also added jalapeno peppers to make it super hot. I added #jerkchicken for protein and my favorite cherry tomatoes! Finished @fitnessblender #upperbody #strenghttraining and my arms are sore already. Today was the first day of a new program #fbflex . You never know how much strength your upper body needs to build until you do #supersets lol. I was supposed to start my new program two days ago but oh well, this tired mama needed more rest from a sick kid at home so I finally started it today. Feeling amazing! .

Some old school bodybuilding vibes to kick off the new week. Skullcrushers are a great way to build mass on those triceps and turn them into fully grown croissants. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
I recommend 4 sets to failure to really hone in on them! Shouts to the late Rich Piana who used to do these for 8 hours a day. If you know, you know. 🤣👏🏼

💪Upper Body Dumbbell Workout💪

It’s beneficial to switch up your usual workout routine in order to prevent physiological adaptions and promote continued change! I like to do this by having upper body-focused workouts, lower body-focused workouts, full body days, and cardio days, so I can be sure that I’m stressing my body and loading my muscles sufficiently to prevent plateau.
I did this upper body-focused workout using one set of dumbbells. I split it up into 3 supersets and did 12 reps x 3 sets of each exercise:

Alternating Cross Body
Hammer Curls

Alternating Chest Press
Skull Crushers

Tricep Extensions

💪Upper Body Dumbbell Workout💪

It’s beneficial to switch up your usual workout routine in order to prevent physiological adaptions and promote continued change! I like to do this by having upper body-focused workouts, lower body-focused workouts, full body days, and cardio days, so I can be sure that I’m stressing my body and loading my muscles sufficiently to prevent plateau. 
I did this upper body-focused workout using one set of dumbbells. I split it up into 3 supersets and did 12 reps x 3 sets of each exercise:

Alternating Front Raises
Alternating Cross Body 
Hammer Curls

Alternating Chest Press
Skull Crushers

Tricep Extensions
Alternating Rows

Pushups are a great bodyweight exercise to build upper body strength. They’re great in the fact that they require zero equipment, just your bodyweight so you can do them anywhere.

Started the week off strong with a Chest workout with the boy @austin_d_fitness 👊🏼 Tried something out today and supersetted the Chest exercises with core exercises! Not satisfied at all with where I’m at with my fitness, but super motivated to keep getting after it. Whenever you are working on something whether it’s the gym, your business, or studying for school, you have two choices. You can either half ass it and do just enough to get by, or you can bust your ass off and give 100%. Not everyone around you is gonna support your vision but you just gotta block their voices out and chase after what you want in life. We’ve been focusing on progressive overload and trying to increase the amount of weight each set. If you are having trouble increasing strength, here are some other forms of progressive overload for your training 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

✅ Rest Pause Sets: breaking down one set into several mini sets, with minimal rest in between each. Perform a set, set the weight down, rest for about 15 seconds, and repeated to failure again
*
✅ Increase Frequency: hit each muscle group 2-3 times a week rather than once per week
*
✅ Slow Tempo: focus on the eccentric (lengthening) phase of each rep. Focus on slow, controlled repetitions rather than trying to bust out as many reps as you can for an exercise
*
✅ Increase Volume: More Sets/Reps of an exercise as the weeks go on! For example, start out doing 8 reps of an exercise but next week do 10-12 reps with the same amount of resistance
*
✅ Rest Periods: if you typically rest 1-2 minutes in between each set, shorten it to 30 seconds and it will be more difficult 🔥
*
✅ Change up the exercise: If you usually only do flat bench press and never incline press, mix it up and try incline bench! If you always use dumbbells rather than resistance cables, that could be another way to mix up your routine 👌🏼

HOLY WTF JUST HAPPENED to my body yesterday 😵😵 I woke up sooooo sore from this workout & it normally takes a LOT for my upper body to be sore like this 🔥 I took some extra rest days this week and so instead of just hitting shoulders, back, or chest yesterday, I decided to just do a complete upper body workout🤩 Don’t forget to LIKE so my posts keep coming on your feed, SAVE so you can try for later, and SHARE with your workout buddy 💦💦💦
