HELLO FROM SWITZERLAND! 🇨🇭
⠀⠀
‘Tis the season for traveling, and while I’m away, I want to help make sure you and your little ones stay sleeping well even during all the holiday chaos.
⠀⠀
Babies and young children (and hey, even some adults) are creatures of habit and thrive on predictability. When traveling, make sure to pack familiar things from home (white noise machine, lovey, ok-to-wake clock, even your baby’s crib sheets) to help facilitate sleep in an unfamiliar environment. Sticking to your home bedtime routine as close as possible can also help ease any discomfort.
⠀⠀
Before the hustle & bustle of this busy season, make sure to grab a copy of my Travel Guide ((link in bio)) to help you see the world & sleep well doing it! 🌎

Some days I want to fast track my healing and have therapy every day so I can just get the pain sucked right out and maybe get to sleep at night. Others I know this is just part of my journey. Some nights I lay down in the utility closet so I can have quick access to every tool and sleep training trick I’ve ever learned. Others I just wait for obsession to consume me until the beautiful sunrise encourages another try.
Here’s something I wrote one morning after not sleeping. Not prayer as expecting any return but prayer as intention to surrender. Prayer as poem, as release, as remaining hope when panic instills:

Carry me through this night
Close my eyes
Help me sleep through the hard parts,
the terrifying parts
Shield me from the nightmares
the evil
the chasers
the gore
Keep me hidden in the dark
Rested through the panic

Trick me into believing I won’t be up at 4am gasping for air
frozen horizontal
bones trapped
flesh still
with the exception of a panicked lung
pacing heart
racing mind

Carry me through the night
so the sunrise will free me
of the anxiety about tomorrow
and the next day
and the next
and the last thing I said
and what they will think of me now
and those times when I was 8
frozen like this
bottom bunk now
and not ready to blink
and not ready to die
and not ready to know death like I soon would
and not ready to be gifted the responsibility of my mother’s fragile life that I held
so tightly in my arms
through the night
afraid to sleep and roll and crush it

Carry me through the night
Close my eyes
Give me 2:00 - 6:30am in peace
or faith I’ll make it through at least
Give me dreams of love
or hope that this is the path to the trauma leaving my body
alone and rested
Help me hold this hope
and not strangle it with fear tonight
Close my eyes

We survived night three of sleep training!!! 👌🏼🙌🏻 Technically this was only night 2 of no feedings at night. The first night we went without was definitely the hardest. He woke up 4 times at least, each time the crying was under 10 minutes and he was able to eventually soothe himself. Last night, only 2 times. The first wake up was quick, under five minutes. The second probably closer to the 8 minute mark. Each night is getting better, and I’m finally seeing the light to getting some sleep! Anyone else have any sleep training stories, or gone another route entirely? #jasiuwilliam #sleeptraining #cryitout #cryitoutmethod

I have no words right now, some super tired eyes and a crazy full heart after locking in a goal I have worked for THREE YEARS TOWARD😭♥️ (I can share more on that soon).

Here’s to the tired mama sneaking in those 30 minutes for her in the garage after bedtime (that’s me this week )... ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
To the women up late at night tucking big dreams in their heart for their families and trying hard to believe they are worthy of them. And then working like crazy to try to achieve them...⠀⠀
⠀⠀
To the mama trying to hold it all together and feeling like she’s not succeeding at any of it, but knows it’s a season and that God is with her...⠀⠀
⠀⠀
To the woman who has been told no, or misunderstood or doubted but who KNOWS her passion to help others and share her story matters and that she won’t give up...⠀⠀
⠀⠀
We can do hard things. The consistency matters. The baby steps, failures, and growth all lead somewhere. You are worthy. Your story matters and will make a difference. Someday we won’t be doing late night workouts or rubbing our tired eyes, and we will see those big dreams unfold, but let’s keep pressing on and loving and living the best we can while we are in those seasons now, sound good? ⠀

Drop a 🙌🏻 if you’re committed to doing the small things with as much glory to God as the big stuff♥️

TRANSITIONING OUT OF THE SWADDLE ~ For those with babies who do so well in the swaddle, the transition out of it can be so nerve-wracking! Here are some things to know to hopefully set your minds at ease:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~ Moving around and rolling around in the crib is actually good for your baby. A lot of physical development happens while they are sleeping and the ability to move around helps.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~ With a good sleep foundation, the transition really is usually very seamless. The fear leading up to it is worse than the actual transition!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~ Around 3 months most babies start to lose that Moro reflex that causes them to startle and wake themselves up.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~ Some babies end up sleeping better once they can get comfy in other positions - on their sides or tummies (once rolling).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~ You can start by leaving one arm out, and then by just swaddling the lower half of their bodies. This helps some have a smoother transition.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~ Always transition into a sleep sack...trust me, you will be so happy you did! It's a great sleep cue and also discourages climbing out of the crib.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

"I need help with my 1 year old. He cries every night for 2 hours before falling asleep at bedtime. 🤦‍♀️
.
.
I try to let him fall asleep on his own, but after so much crying I give in and rub his back.
.
.
This has been happening for a few months now and I can't handle it anymore. What can I do?"
---------------------------
.
.
It seems that your son has gotten used to crying for an extended amount of time in order to get his back rubbed. This is really normal.
.
.
👉 With sleep training, when parents “give in” after a long stretch of crying, unfortunately it reinforces the crying behavior. There’s no judgment at all, we’ve all been guilty of this!
.
.
👉 The best way forward is to try to figure out a way to wean off the back rubbing. My quick advice to you is to go ahead and rub his back right away at bedtime.
.
.
✅ First get his sleep schedule sorted out.
.
.
So get him falling asleep at his normal bedtime. This will add 2 hours to his night sleep. This is so he can get more sleep and doesn’t become overtired. 😴
.
.
✅ If he wakes during the night, go ahead and rub his back right away.
.
.
👉 Once the long periods of crying are gone, then you need a plan to wean off the back rubbing. You can come up with your own and just rub his back less every night or you can join my program (21 Days to Peace & Quiet) where I have a step-by-step guide for slowly phasing yourself out of his bedroom. ✅ Link in bio⬆️⬆️⬆️
.
.
❗️ Of course you can wean off the back rubbing “cold turkey” but as it seems you may have tried that, it will lead to a lot of crying. Or you can do the more gradual steps that I’ve laid out here.

"I WAS SHOCKED AT HOW QUICKLY SHE FIGURED IT OUT"

This was the comments from one of the Moms who recently took my online sleep class. She'd been anxious about "sleep training" aka sleep teaching in my world, and had delayed and delayed. The lack of sleep was getting to her and she took the leap and enrolled in my class.

After 3 nights her baby was putting herself to sleep in 10 minutes. Her new "self-soothing skill"... babbling in her crib to relax into sleep. A pretty nice way to listen to your baby fall asleep.

My online class won't teach you cookie cutter approach but rather parenting skills to guide you through the ages 4-24 months and beyond.

I never want you to feel alone or confused on your sleep training journey and so you can book a phone call with me to accompany your online class where we discuss your specific case.

Tag a Mom who needs a good night's sleep!

BEDTIME ROUTINE// ⁣

Did you know that most of my clients have an issue in their bedtime routine that needs adjusting? ⁣

Whether we admit it or not we all have some sort of bedtime routine in place before we go to bed. It sends a signal to our body and mind that sleep is coming. ⁣

Mine includes washing my face, skin care routine (mama’s gotta keep it fresh), turning my electric blanket on, mouth guard in, lip balm on, eye mask on, white noise on, two kisses to my husband and into bed. ⁣

But you don’t care about MY routine... you care about your kid’s bedtime routine! ⁣

So... What makes a “good” bedtime routine? ⁣

- 20-40 minutes long including a bath⁣
- Bath - only happens once a day (usually) and is a great cue that sleep is coming⁣
- Lotion - because we live in a city with no moisture! ⁣
- Quiet time with mom and/or dad - story, song or both⁣
- Kisses goodnight ⁣
- Into bed awake ⁣

You can definitely have a feed in the bedtime routine for babies - just make sure it’s not the last thing you do before putting them into the crib. Create some distance between the feed and bed with a story or song. ⁣

What’s your bedtime routine? Does it need some cleaning up? If so, contact me for some help! ⁣

I love spreading joy around this time of year! You know what else is easy to spread tho?! GERMS! ⠀

Please do not kiss a child that is not yours!⠀

What may seem like a simple cold or sniffles to you, can be life threatening to a little one. Most children will have an RSV infection by the age of two but for young babies, it can cause serious complications. Initially the symptoms can be just irritability, breathing difficulties, and decreased activity. ⠀

The Centers for Disease Control cites RSV as the most common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in children under the age of one in the U.S., and it spreads relatively easily.⠀

Mamas, if your child is having problems breathing or something doesn’t seem right, trust your gut and get them seen immediately. RSV cases are on the rise this year. ⠀

As always, practice good hand hygiene and leave the kisses for just mama/daddy! ⠀

This little babe had a serious case of Day☀️/Night🌙 Confusion. She wasn't going to sleep for the night until 1 am and sleeping well into the afternoon. Mom and dad were tired and mom was returning to work shortly, they needed a solution! We worked on improving babe's circadian rhythm, improving daytime sleep, and initiating sleep independently. She is now falling asleep at 8:30 for the evening and getting a healthier amount of daytime sleep!

Are you preparing to head back to work soon? Are you not getting the sleep you need to feel confident in your return? Reach out to me. Schedule a 🆓 15 minute call so we can discuss your options. Let's get you and your baby some healthy and restorative sleep! 😴

Getting a handle of your child's daytime sleep will actually help set the stage for a better night's sleep! If your child isn't getting enough daytime sleep it will actually backfire and not cause them to sleep longer at night - instead they will be more likely to have multiple night wakings and wake up prior to 6am. Or, if you have an older toddler, if you let their single nap go too long it could start to take away from their total nighttime hours of sleep. ⠀
Save this chart mamas! It will help you ensure your little one is getting adequate daytime sleep and the recommended number of naps for their age. If you realize that it's been one of those days where naps were shorter, push up bedtime 15-30 minutes so you can avoid an overtired babe! ⠀
If you look at this chart and you realize you are way off of these recommendations send me a message so we can set up time to figure out a game plan and get things back on track.⠀

Know your safe sleep ABCDs. Babies should always sleep Alone (A), on their Back (B), in a Crib (C) and have caregivers that Don't smoke (D). Follow the ABCDs of safe sleeping

B - Back — Place your baby on their back to sleep.
Always place your baby on their back at bedtime. Even if your baby can roll over, it is safest to place them on their back and if they need to turn over, let them get in that position on their own. Tummy time is great when they are awake, but only when it is play time!

#TBT to Christmas 2 years ago! Back when this little guy was just 2 years old 😭 ⠀

Toddlers are just the cutest, aren’t they?! They’re finally starting to express themselves, they’re learning so many new things, imagination is developing, and of course, they begin testing new limits 😜 ⠀

Sleep can be a challenge at this age as well. A sleep regression can happen around 24 months with all your little one’s new development. This is not the time to quit naps. Stay consistent, it will pass, and keep working on healthy sleep habits.⠀

Here are some things that can help: ⠀

• Remember, even if your child can handle more awake time, keep up the naps and a consistent bedtime routine (7-8p is ideal).⠀

• It can help to wake your child up from a nap a little early if bedtime is a battle. Try not to let your toddler nap past 3p-3:30p, otherwise they may not have fall asleep as readily at bedtime.⠀

• Provide stimulating activities during awake times. Physical and mental activities can do wonders for sleep! ⠀

• This can often be the time when new siblings come, potty training starts, you’re getting rid of the pacifier, or thinking of moving to a toddler bed. Try to avoid too many changes at once! ⠀

• Avoid starting any new habits that you don’t want to keep! Staying consistent now can pay off in the long term by helping you and your little one get that healthy sleep you need!⠀

Did you know that underlying medical conditions are one of the most common reasons why sleep coaching fails? For this reason, it is so incredibly important that you check with your pediatrician before beginning to implement any sleep plan. In addition, be sure that when you start working with a sleep coach to fill out the intake form as thoroughly and accurately as possible. If you ever suspect that something physical is disturbing your little one’s sleep be sure to reach out to their physician. #sleepplan #sleeptraining #sleepcoaching #sleepconsultant #sleepcoach #gentlesleepcoach #sleeptips #sleepadvice #babysleeptips #babysleepconsultant #sleephelp #infantsleep #toddlersleep #postpartumsupport #tiredmama #motherhood #parenthood #parenting #motherhoodunplugged #mommyhood #thisismotherhood #parentinglife #parentingsupport #parentingtips #parenthood_unveiled #sleep #tired #sleepy #bedtime #naptime

Thursday’s are hard. Ri wakes up SUUUUUUPER early😂, so we mom it up in the morning + workout/get ready/pack my 12 bags for the office and then lug off to daycare, and as soon as we get home bath time, bottle, and bed. So so SO thankful for my job(s) but these days leave me crazy motivated (and real stinkin’ tired🤪) to keep working to be able to stay home full time with her. To all you working mamas out there, giving you a virtual high five, b/c this is TOUGH!⠀

Heather: “less than a year ago I was in such a deep funk, full of major anxiety, and without any joy. I almost never laughed and could barely muster a smile for my husband....⁣

Every morning was the same. I woke up, already exhausted, never rested. I would hear my boys voices downstairs and be overcome with dread for the day that hadn’t even started. ⁣

It was almost February when I finally messaged that chic who was always talking about her magic pink drink. 🙄 I told VP I was trying it but also that I would “NEVER SLING PINK DRINKS, EVER.” I drank it for a few days and thought, I CAN’T BELIEVE I just got taken for a fool. How could I have fallen for one of those things? Still I kept taking the products. ⁣
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~⁣
Then one day I woke up and felt RESTED. 🙌🏼 (cue the angels singing)⁣
Another day I had so much energy I RAN BACK AND FORTH at the playground with my kids. Literally did the zip line a dozen or more times when a week earlier I could hardly even load up the car to get to the playground. ⁣
And then I woke up and felt light. The 🌧 cloud that had been over me was gone. POOF. Like someone woke me from a bad dream. If you’ve ever struggled with the big D word you know how heavy things can be. ⁣
I started laughing. I found my joy again. I sleep well. I don’t carry tension in my neck 24/7. I don’t live with anxiety. I don’t live on sugar or carbs or caffeine. I can count the times I’ve been tired on my hands since Plexus. My head is clearer. The list goes on. Losing 25 pounds is just a bonus. ⁣
If this speaks to you, don’t wait months and months like I did, suffering because of what someone might else might think about ordering from one of “those companies.” It could be the answer to your prayers.”
What were your expectations of your baby's naps before you became a mom? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know I had this idea that babies sleep for 3-4 hours a day so I would have all this time to get things done. I was going to be super fit, have all my photos printed into photobooks and framed, and my house was going to be spotless. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then my bubble was bursted. My baby wouldn't nap anywhere but on me or in the car! Didn't he know I had this big long to do list? All the books I had read said babies needed long restorative naps for their development. What was I doing wrong? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's the secret. I wasn't doing anything wrong. My baby was acting 100% as he should have been acting for his age. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The truth is that most babies won't even BEGIN to nap in their cribs or bassinets before 4-6 months of age because naps are not yet developed before that point. Of course some babies are able to do this before this age, but MOST babies need support to nap at the beginning. A lot of support. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My advice for you is not to fight it. I know there are a million things to get done, showering and taking care of yourself being high on that priority list, but this phase really is so short lived. Build your village so you have time to take care of yourself and your home or wear baby for naps so you can still get things done. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Other than that, enjoy the snuggles, read a book, watch a show, and take this as your baby's way of telling you that you need to slow down and relax during this time.
"Great Resource.⠀
This has been a fantastic resource for us! My son Harvey was fighting every nap during the day, catnapping for 45 minutes at most and would only feed to sleep.⠀
We started the program while Harvey was teething and entering the 4-month sleep regression, so we are a long way from perfect but we are seeing improvements every day. We have completely weaned off feeding to sleep and are now well on our way to self-settling! Harvey has adapted really well to the sleep consolidation and its made a huge difference to my mental health and marriage having our evenings back to ourselves.⠀
The biggest help comes in having a reassuring source of information to refer back! As a mum, all you do is second guess every single decision you make and having information at your fingertips with multiple options has been a lifesaver on those tough days!" - Ami 🥰⠀
What were your expectations of your baby's naps before you became a mom? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know I had this idea that babies sleep for 3-4 hours a day so I would have all this time to get things done. I was going to be super fit, have all my photos printed into photobooks and framed, and my house was going to be spotless. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then my bubble was bursted. My baby wouldn't nap anywhere but on me or in the car! Didn't he know I had this big long to do list? All the books I had read said babies needed long restorative naps for their development. What was I doing wrong? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's the secret. I wasn't doing anything wrong. My baby was acting 100% as he should have been acting for his age. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The truth is that most babies won't even BEGIN to nap in their cribs or bassinets before 4-6 months of age because naps are not yet developed before that point. Of course some babies are able to do this before this age, but MOST babies need support to nap at the beginning. A lot of support. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My advice for you is not to fight it. I know there are a million things to get done, showering and taking care of yourself being high on that priority list, but this phase really is so short lived. Build your village so you have time to take care of yourself and your home or wear baby for naps so you can still get things done. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Other than that, enjoy the snuggles, read a book, watch a show, and take this as your baby's way of telling you that you need to slow down and relax during this time.
SELF SOOTHING
A controversial word in the realm of parenting. So many different ideas about it.
Grobrain teaches parents that this is a skill - exactly the same as crawling, walking or talking. It'll come when that individual child is ready and able to do it in correlation with the maturation of their brain.
The brain learns how to do this throughout the early years and beyond, by being soothed repeatedly by an external source, (their parents or caregiver). This repeated soothing from you, creates brain connections that then enable the child to know how to soothe themselves as they grow up and their brain matures.
Do not be led to believe that if you don't 'take action' it will not happen. That is a fear that is often banded around to parents, making them question their instincts to respond and creating fear about things never changing. This anxiety can interfere with the parents response. Please hear from us that true self soothing will come. It will. And until the child is ready to do that and demonstrating that they are truly happy to be left or go back to sleep without your input, you can continue to respond.
We’ve got a 7pm to 7:30am errrr friends! I never thought I’d be able to say that.
After Stanley got out of the #snoo I just put him into bed with me. It was so nice cuddling him every night but we never seemed to get longer than a 3 hour stretch.
This went on for about 4 months until I thought him and I both deserved a full nights sleep. Shoutout to my girlfriends for giving me the push! I followed @takingcarababies ABC’s of sleeping and by night 3 Stanley went from waking 2-4 times a night to sleeping through 12 hours.
Some things that I think are super important for us: pitch black (black out curtains), white noise and the room had to be cold!
I’m still exhausted though, so if you ever figure that one out lmk 🤣 #sleeptraining
🥰 I’m so excited to be partnering with @lovetodreamusa as a #lovetodreampartner to make “Safe Sleep Made Simple”. These Swaddle UP Transition Bags are absolutely amazing! ❤️ Girls sleep much better now and wake up maybe 1 time at night😴. We are so grateful for that! 🙏 We’ve been using the 50/50 transition bag that allows me to unzip and have their arms free now that they're beginning to roll over. Swipe up on my stories to shop! .
SLEEP TRAINING TIPS - PART 2⁣ & GIVEAWAY 🎉⁣
⁣⁣
So following on from my previous post, below I have outlined the main changes that we have executed in order to help H sleep through the night.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Please note that I am NOT a sleep expert & all tips were kindly given to us by @slumbertots who wrote us a personalised sleep plan based on H’s age & sleep issues. I appreciate though that not everyone can afford a sleep consultant & if not, I hope the tips in my last post & this post help you, in addition to Katy’s ‘Newborn Sleep’ & ‘Early Wakeup’ guides that are available to download via my mummynutrition.com/shop (under ‘bedtime’).⁣ She has also been kind enough to gift a package to one of you (scroll down!)👇🏻 ⁣
⁣⁣
THE MAIN CHANGES⁣⁣
⁣⁣
😴 AWAKE TIME - Between 7 & 9 months of age @slumbertots advised us that H’s awake time should be around 3 hours: meaning if he wakes from his last nap at 3:15pm, bed time should be no later than 6:30pm.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
😴 NAPS - H is down to 2 x 60-120 min naps a day now at 9:45am & 2:15pm. I tweak these times by 30 mins if we have a clashing appt.⁣
⁣⁣
😴 MILK - I now feed H had the START, rather than at the end of our evening routine to avoid feeding to sleep..⁣⁣
⁣⁣
😴 SAME PHRASE - When H goes to bed I say ‘night night’ every night.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
😴 PUTTING DOWN AWAKE - This is a must if you want your baby to sleep for longer & wakeup less often.. @slumbertots guided us through a gentle 2 week sleep plan which started to work from night 1 (check out the ‘SLEEP TRAIN’ bubble below my bio for more detail).⁣ I never left H’s side for the first 10 days & supported him with my voice & touch to go to sleep. He took 40 mins on night 1 which reduced to 5 mins by night 2!⁣
⁣⁣
😴 PAUSE - H started sleeping through the night from night 3.. during the first 2 nights I allowed him 10 or so minutes to self soothe which he did 3 times out of 4 before he stopped waking up completely.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👉🏼 If you have any more qus having read these 2 posts & watching my sleep train STORIES pop them below.
⁣⁣
GIVEAWAY.. To win a @slumbertots standard sleep package worth £297 all you have to do is like this post, follow the 2 of us & tag 2 friends below. [Ts&Cs below]👇🏻
I don’t think you can spoil a baby or hold a baby too much. I do not do the cry-it-out method or any sleep training and I do hold/nurse my babies until they fall asleep until they are 2 years old.
Indy still sleeps in my bed but I’ll move her into a bassinet by my bed in a few weeks and she’ll stay in my room until she’s about 8 months. I LOVE co-sleeping bc it works for me. When Indy wakes up to nurse I just put her on my boob and we both fall back to sleep. I’m not even tired during the days🙌🏼. BUT-sids is real so I’m not telling you to do this, I’m just sharing what works for me.
I did this same method with Teags and Bodhi and they both sleep amazing (no bad habits were created). At like 16 months Bodhi didn’t want to be held to fall asleep so I just took his lead and did what worked.
There is so much to learn when it comes to having kids and it’s hard to know whats the best way. I get frustrated every time I go to the doctors and they recommend moving Indy to her own room, or how much I see sleep training on Instagram. So I’m just sharing this for any parent who also doesn’t feel good about advice they’ve been given. I’m right here with you cuddling my babies until they don’t want to be cuddled. ***There is no judgment from my side if you do the CIO method or sleep train. Always do what feels best for you and that will be the right decision!!
