Band Assisted Pull-ups 4 x 6 ⁣

A lot of people don’t know the difference between pull-ups and chin-ups. ⁣

The main difference is pull-ups are definitely harder. ⁣

But the grip for both are different so when you hear pull-up and as you can see in the video is an overhand grip or palms facing away from you.⁣

Chin-ups on the other hand 🤚(see what I did there) are an under hand grip or palms facing you.⁣

If your not doing these movements as part of your workout, I would definitely start incorporating them.⁣

Calisthenics update: My first front lever! (Kinda)

I just got home from work and started practicing on the piano. Taking a break I walked by my pull up bar and I thought to try out a full front lever, and bam!
It's not the prettiest thing ever. There's still a slight hinge in the hip, but I can feel my body becoming more and more stronger. Maybe in like a week or two I can hold a perfect lever for like 2 seconds haha.

Aber vergesst nicht, beim CrossFit kann man alle Übungen auch anpassen, vereinfachen und genau euren Bedürfnissen oder auch Trainingsstand anpassen. Also fragt Euren Trainer nach einer adäquaten Alternative.

GAINS & GOALS: •

Often it feels as if goals are solely focused on weight loss, a number on the scale or a dress size and sometimes that isn’t enough. When I started training I was a size 16 and a long way off the weight I wanted to be. I needed other buy-ins to keep me coming back to the gym as progress was often slow. Strength focused goals can provide mini wins along the way as watching your numbers go up on the bar can be incredibly addictive and easy to keep upping when you first start. If you want examples, feel free to ask 🥰

🎪Tonight’s troupe class was so FUN!😁 Learned so many things and tried many new skills. More videos to come but for now basking in the awesomeness of this one! Totally surprised myself by being able to do this and then of course had to get @becca.lily to grab my camera so I could do it again on video 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ .

Abs? 
Yeah! You engage your abs as you stabilize your body while hoisting yourself up. ♦️ #2) Pull-ups are a great indicator of overall strength. Since it’s just you against the force of gravity, if you can do a pull-up or chin-up, you have a greater strength-to-bodyweight ratio.
With push-ups, some of your body’s weight is supported by your feet.

Wohoo!!! I learned how to jump up this ladder! So happy :). I've practice a lot of hangboarding and campus over the past couple of years an my finger strength has improved a lot. But I've been scared of trying things like this because I really don't want to injure my fingers.

A friend asked if I could do these jumps and I answered no. Then I tried and failed, then I tried and failed some more and then I made it!!! And then I made two jumps, and three, and four. .

Aa an arm amputee, I have found the use of resistance bands to be crucial in the development of my back muscles. This is what I mean, 4 sets of 12 - 15 reps will get the job done.

The PPL split can be looked at as a high level routine to follow. It definitely can be, if you follow the 6 day routine. This routine can range anywhere from 3-6 days per week.

However, no routine will help you achieve your goals unless you’re getting adequate rest. So if you’re one of those people looking for the “best routine” and ramp up your training to 6 days per week with sh*tty rest, then you’re doing more harm than good.

The push movements predominantly work the following muscle groups: chest, triceps and shoulders.

The pull movements predominantly work the following muscle groups: back, biceps.
.
The leg movements predominantly work the following muscle groups: quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves.

You can replace chin ups with deadlifts if you prefer doing deadlifts on back day rather than leg day! Some people like to do deadlifts on leg day others like it to do them on pull day ! Just switch chin ups with deadlifts if you want and put Deadlifts 1st in the exercise order✌ -
Make sure to do around 3-4 sets a 8-12 reps and focus on a perfect technique and to really feel the muscles especially when you’re training the back ! In a few hours I’m gonna upload the leg day ! -

You can replace chin ups with deadlifts if you prefer doing deadlifts on back day rather than leg day!  Some people like to do deadlifts on leg day others like it to do them on pull day ! Just switch chin ups with deadlifts if you want and put Deadlifts 1st in the exercise order✌ - 
Make sure to do around 3-4 sets a 8-12 reps and focus on a perfect technique and to really feel the muscles especially when you’re training the back ! In a few hours I’m gonna upload the leg day ! -
