Trying to conceive #ttc ? Omega 3 Fatty Acid (Fish Oil) is super important! Omega 3scan help with fertility AND help with the health of your developing baby.👶🏼 In a major double-blind study, 98 women with prior IVF fertilization failure were given 1 gram of Omega-3s and had higher fertilization rate and good quality embryos.
The same study also found that fish oil supplementation during pregnancy substantially reduced the offspring’s risk of asthma and lung infections.

Cleaning, Christmas shopping, and admiring my upper lips dark shadow all from home today! Need to get a lot done and fast. My holiday plans this year are pretty nuts. Consists of traveling to Chicago for Christmas, a baby shower, quick trip to Minnesota, back to Chicago, and eventually making way home to New York. All while preggo.

Not complaining about my first world problems but as life progresses it becomes more complicated scheduling visits and holidays with family when both you and your spouse are not only from different states but currently live in state neither of you is from. This means we are always the ones traveling and unfortunately, due to hockey, Anders only gets two days to celebrate (Christmas Eve and Christmas). Therefore most of everything falls on this Mama. Things we need to think about before/during the holidays: where are we spending them? Who are we giving gifts to? How do we get them there? What are we going to do with the dogs? Where are we going to stay? What Christmas parties and events have we committed to? You get the idea.

It can be overwhelming which is why it’s so important to plan ahead! I already booked my flights home + my stay which relieves a lot of the stress already. Being pregnant does change things though and I’m sure my energy levels will slow me down a bit! Will keep you updated on how I’m navigating through the holiday season....definitely going to make an effort to soak it ALL in as I know things are going to look a little different in the years to come🤰🏼🎁☃️🎄🎅🏻🍪❄️

We no longer know how, or by whom our food was grown.
Our food doesn't even look like real food.
The nutrients we are told are in our food aren't actually measured.
We can no longer assume that something described as food is good for us.

How well do you know your cycle?
Your menstrual cycle has four phases: menstrual, follicular, ovulation, and luteal. You period refers to the days on your period (usually about 4-7), your menstrual cycle refers to the length of time from day 1 of your period until your next period. Day 1 of your cycle = day 1 of your period. 🌑MENSTRUAL PHASE: lasts for about 3-7 days, your estrogen and progesterone are at the lowest and it triggers the shedding of the uterine lining (your period). Your energy is the lowest and your period blood should be a bright or deep red free of clots. 🌓FOLLICULAR PHASE: right after your period your estrogen levels start to pick up. Your pituitary gland in the brain releases FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) that triggers the follicles in the ovary to mature. Estrogen, testosterone, your energy, mood, and libido all rise. 🌕OVULATION PHASE: right before you ovulate your pituitary releases luteinizing hormone (LH) that stimulates the egg to release from the follicle. Even though the egg only lives for 12-24 hours, since sperm can live 5-7 days it widens the number of possible days you can get pregnant. Your estrogen and testosterone peak and your energy is highest at this time.

🌗LUTEAL PHASE: once the egg is released your body produces progesterone, which peaks right after ovulation. When your body gets the signal that you are not pregnant then all hormones decrease. Your energy decreases and it’s important as you approach your period to honor resting, restoring, and nourishing your body. Your luteal phase is a consistent 12-16 days after you ovulate. If your period is late it can be because you ovulate late.

Do we need to get admitted in the IVF process?

A patient undergoing IVF does not require admission. However, one should visit the centre 3-5 times during the monitoring cycle. On the day of egg collection, the patient would need to fast for 6 hours and come to clinic and the procedure takes about half an hour. Patients can go home after the effect of anaesthesia weans off which takes about 2-3 hours. The next scheduled visit is after 2-3 days for the embryo transfer. This takes about half an hour and the patients are free to go home after resting for one hour.

Когда я была маленькой, я думала: я хочу рожать только девочек! 😄 Потому что не знаю, что делать с мальчиками (с этими их кранчиками 🙈 да и как воспитать настоящего мужчину?!)

С возрастом я стала менее категорична: ну мальчик, да мальчик, всё надо попробовать в жизни 💁🏼‍♀️

И вот наступила наша беременность, и я окончательно запуталась, кого я хочу, да и вообще: так ли это важно? 😄

МАМА и ВРАЧ твердят: ну ты же должна чувствовать (и даже не предполагать, а именно чувствовать), кто там🙈 Как это?😲 Вот только не надо про эти суеверия💁🏼‍♀️

МУЖ твердит: "Ничего не знаю, я делал девочку"💁🏼‍♀️ Делал он, видите ли🙈
Говорит, что с девочками проще (ну да, он же столько девочек воспитал уже 😆, у него даже младших никого не было, у воспитателя этого)

А я? Что я? Я просто хочу малыша: здоровенького, милого, счастливого и нашего ❤️

Cleaning, Christmas shopping, and admiring my upper lips dark shadow all from home today! Need to get a lot done and fast. My holiday plans this year are pretty nuts. Consists of traveling to Chicago for Christmas, a baby shower, quick trip to Minnesota, back to Chicago, and eventually making way home to New York. All while preggo.

Not complaining about my first world problems but as life progresses it becomes more complicated scheduling visits and holidays with family when both you and your spouse are not only from different states but currently live in state neither of you is from. This means we are always the ones traveling and unfortunately, due to hockey, Anders only gets two days to celebrate (Christmas Eve and Christmas). Therefore most of everything falls on this Mama. Things we need to think about before/during the holidays: where are we spending them? Who are we giving gifts to? How do we get them there? What are we going to do with the dogs? Where are we going to stay? What Christmas parties and events have we committed to? You get the idea.

It can be overwhelming which is why it’s so important to plan ahead! I already booked my flights home + my stay which relieves a lot of the stress already. Being pregnant does change things though and I’m sure my energy levels will slow me down a bit! Will keep you updated on how I’m navigating through the holiday season....definitely going to make an effort to soak it ALL in as I know things are going to look a little different in the years to come🤰🏼🎁☃️🎄🎅🏻🍪❄️

BUT it’s important to ensure that you’re snacks are nourishing, and that you’re not just filling up on chocolate biscuits and potato chips. A few of my top suggestions are:
🥛A glass of milk: so simple that it’s often overlooked, but many women don’t meet their calcium requirements during pregnancy.
🥜Handful of nuts: Nuts are a common allergy for baby’s, and the latest research shows that including allergens regularly in our diet during pregnancy helps to build up our baby’s immune defence system.
🥕Mug of vegetable soup: Packed with fibre, vitamins and antioxidants.
🍿Homemade popcorn: Give this one a go if you’re struggling with morning sickness…but it can also be a handy snack when on the run. Just make sure that you’re air popping it so that it’s not downed in fat or sugar.
🍎Fruit smoothie: this is a great way to boost your dairy and fruit intake during pregnancy.
🍞Toast topped with sliced tomato: most women don’t need to increase their kilojoule intake much during pregnancy these days, but if you are going to add in some additional kilojoules during pregnancy, the recommended place to get them from is from cereals and grains.
