Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich nach meinem ausmaxen letzten Sonntag auf der #deadliftparty, heute eine solide Leistung beim Kreuzheben erbringen kann. Aber es lief echt gut. Das heißt einen Topsatz mit 132,5kg für 1x4 @ 9. Gefolgt von 125kg für 3x4 @ 9.
Weil das ja nicht hart genug war,  gab es noch 3ct. Bankdrücken mit 60kg für 3x3 @ 8 und Tempo Beugen mit 85kg für 3x3 @ 7.

Just incredible how much easier it is to get up when the sun is shining!  Instantly puts me in a better mood and boost my energy 💪 .

Not everyday can be a heavy lifting day. 
Plank rolls. Part of my bench day warm up. Great to warming up the shoulders and the core at the same time. Most of the time I just place a clip on my back which is very light. So I decided to challenge myself with a light 3lb ball to work in more control.

“Active Rest” isn’t the easiest thing for me 😂 but here we are, 9 days out from my next powerlifting championship, keeping the blood flowing with an easy back day.. I’m  also recovering from a small procedure I had done at the beginning of the week, thankfully stitches will be out in-time to move heavy weights next weekend! I am LOVING @rpstrength powerlifting programming. It’s such a huge boost in confidence to see all my lifts increasing after that year of crap. Now when I look at what’s programmed I don’t think, “shit... can I really do that? Should I lower the weight?”, I think “yesss it’s going to be another rep PR”. Not every day is a win, but it’s definitely a step in the direction I want to be in. ⁣

It takes a lot for me to post something like this...today I feel shit. It’s that time of the month, I’ve picked all day, not prepped any food, I’m bloated to f**k and in a load of pain. This is real life. This is honest. .

But I went to the gym, I was there for almost 2 hours and I smashed it. I did my first proper set of deadlifts, I hip thrusted 50kg (that’s a PB for me) and I felt amazing afterwards. I’m finally getting into a routine at the gym where I know what I’m doing, when I’m doing it. .

North West Championships.

First outing this year after injuries put me back a bit. Walked away with a decent total, only 5kg below my best, and a bit more confidence in my squats again!

Got some new goals in mind and looking forward to gracing the platform again before the end of the year with Coach @lyonspowermcr .

My friend @elle_eloise_ qualified and competed with some of the strongest women in the country at the USPA National Powerlifting Championships last week in Las Vegas. I have had the privilege of coaching her for the past year. She has made significant progress over that time, even with a novice powerlifting coach guiding her. 
Elle competes despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I’ve seen first hand how this disease takes away ability, but Elle doesn’t let this dictate how she lives her life nor her dedication to her sport. There are times I simply don’t know how she does it. She’s fierce. What else can you say? 
We all deal with setbacks in our own way. Some people resign to their fate. Other’s step up, find strength from within and overcome. 
MS Sucks. If you’re battling with it right now, just know that you are NOT your diagnosis and you don’t have to resign yourself to it. Find what makes you happy and fight for it. Battle fiercely and just don’t stop.

Tonight I played the game of how many 2.5kg increments does it take me to find a rpe 8 single (clearly don’t know my own progress yet)🙃 ended on 67.5kg for a huuuge PB!! Got a bit ahead of myself  and went for 70kg but lack of strength and fatigue got the better of me🤷🏻‍♀️ but now I am itching to finally press it with how well 67.5kg moved.... I took forever to post about it because I was disappointed with how I did😓

I successfully pulled 7 out of my 9 lifts..my last 2 deadlifts were failed for improper form😭💔

So, I didn't die. (You know who you are ... "You dead"😂 ) Just took time out as I've been ridiculously ill the past couple of weeks. With nearly 2 months out of training,2.2kg down no thanks to being ill and being in a deficit due to not training, it felt so good to be back 🙌 
Kicked off with bench, and surprisingly not much damage done to the lift. Yay for pushups! 
In the time off I have been really focusing on rehab on my hamstring and having the amazing @alanmdean getting me back as quickly as possible through the hamstring tear. 
Totes looking forward to the DOMS to come this week 🤢 
Tomorrow's leg day is planned, nice and easy to just put my hamstring through the motions.

Success does not look and feel the same for everyone. It depends on your life, means and goals. It depends on when you started and where you want to go. There are so many things like marriage, kids, degrees and career success that feel like they have to come on a timeline or will feel like a failure if you don’t hit it. Remember when we were little and thought 25 was old and we would probably be married by then with a white picket fence and a puppy? Well first off, that house it too expensive to buy here in the city but that’s not how it goes all the time and that’s okay.  This also goes for comparing your life to other people’s lives. You don’t have to work out like someone else or look like someone else or travel like someone else. Focus on where you want to be and get there on your terms 👊🏼 be better than you were before and that’s progress!

Начали подготовку на V ЧМ WRPF🙌🏻 Примерно 4 приседа, 1 тяга и 2 жима будут в ходе подготовки.
Много работы над техникой и растяжкой, регулярные массажи:)
Пока втягиваюсь в тренировочный процесс...ничего интересного 😒
Но, надеюсь, будет что показать, особенно в приседаниях. Ибо основная цель - присед хорошо за 200+, ну и сумма 600 #RAW. Даже если придётся пожертвовать результатами тяги...

More volume, this time upper body. By my last set of (baby) bench, I was on the struggle bus. I could blame it on my lack of sleep, but really...I've been avoiding bench for a while.

I realized I’m good at hiding pain from myself and saying “it’s fine” and pushing through even when I’m stressed⁣⁣⁣

Part of the reason is because I’ve been scoffed at my whole life & working hard is a way to prove to myself that I am capable. ⁣⁣

I’m very grateful for the friends & supporters who check up on me ⁣⁣⁣

Because even though I take care of others, sometimes I forget to take care of myself.. especially my own mental health ⁣⁣⁣

It’s hard for me to openly admit to people when I feel weak ⁣⁣⁣

& I’ve been doing a lot of ego work and reparenting to try to work through trauma that I haven’t dealt with until recently ⁣⁣⁣
I hope to share more sides of me and bring more depth to my brand in all aspects of myself as I navigate being a CEO and as an influencer. ⁣⁣⁣
