I know what you're thinking.. Whys he trying to be an instagram model with a head like that? First the plant based diet, now bodyweight leg sessions? But there's good reasoning behind this workout.
I've been plagued by knee and back pain for several years now, mainly to do with so e spectacular push bike crashes. Ever since I started this little leg routine most of my knee pain has gone away.
This little combo (with some light leg extension not shown) hits most of the leg muscles associated with knee and hip health. First few times I did it my side lunge resembled more of a sway than a lunge, now my hips are moving better than ever.
I use this on a separate day prior to heavy legs to get everything moving properly, but there's no reason you can't to it on leg day at the start.

Último domingo participei da Copa SP de Supino e Lev.terra, competi apenas no supino, essa foi minha sexta competição desde setembro do ano passado qndo estreei e mais uma vez consegui melhorar minhas marcas .
A primeira " briga" do dia foi com a balança rsrsrs pesei 120,2 e minha categoria e até 120kg .
Em 20 minutos consegui perder meio quilo, bati 119,7 ( meu maior peso em competição) e pude me manter na disputa.

Tuesday wasn’t the best bench day I’ve had, but still was able to put some solid numbers did a top single at 147.5/325 on close grip and followed that up with a 2x2 slingshot action at the same weight. Week 2 Day 2 - We back with the C&J triples. Trying out new angle to see if my bar path was straight. Though the bar path is straighter than I imagined, this highlighted a new problem for me..... I’m jumping forward. Definitely something that will be worked on on the deload week next week.
But all in all, very happy with the ease of the reps today. Bearing in mind this was a PB when I started out, ‘twas a little reminder that the progress is there haha

The best quad workout ever? 😳

For the past 5 years give or take i have
been doing the same workout for quads without fail.
Barbell squat followed by a hack squat or hack squat variation followed by a leg press. Seems simple right?
I always wonder why people are looking for the new flashiest way to train there legs or any other muscle group for that matter as insta fit models glorify pathetic isolation exercises which will get you next to nowhere.
Go back in history and look at the best quads in bodybuilding and have a look at what exercises they did to build there quads. I guarantee you atleast two if not all three of the exercises listed above will be in there quad training protocol.
Like i mentioned 5 years give or take doing these same three exercises in that same order and i have never plateaued.. why? Because i am ensuring that every workout endured is embraced with maximum intensity and output loaded heavy enough with enough total volume that there is no option for my legs to not get bigger and Stronger.
Not only that but all three of these exercises have a huge opportunity for overload over a long period of time which should also definitely be considered when training for strength/mass.
So for some it may be worth taking a step back and having a look at your workout and considering are you choosing a certain exercise because it is easier? Remember the more physically demanding an exercise is the more total reward it will have. Period.
Get good at the basics!

The best quad workout ever? 😳

For the past 5 years give or take i have 
been doing the same workout for quads without fail. 
Barbell squat followed by a hack squat or hack squat variation followed by a leg press. Seems simple right? 
I always wonder why people are looking for the new flashiest way to train there legs or any other muscle group for that matter as insta fit models glorify pathetic isolation exercises which will get you next to nowhere.

There are so many factors that play a role towards your physique and there are ton of sacrifices that you have to commit to.

But you need to GET REAL with yourself and see what is suitable and sustainable for your lifestyle. A lot of times, clients give me unrealistic goals in a short time frame. And when they don’t see those results quick enough, they begin to lose motivation and give up entirely.

Trust the process, understand what you’re factors are and set realistic goals for yourself. Rome wasn’t built in a day. 👏
