Ingredients
for 20 servings * ⅓ cup chia seed
* ¾ cup water
* ¾ cup quinoa, cooked
* ⅓ cup pumpkin seeds
* ⅓ cup sesame seed
* salt, to taste
* pepper, to taste
* hummus, to serve

Preparation
* Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C.)
* In a medium bowl, add the chia seeds and water.
* Mix until well combined then let stand for 5 minutes until a gelatinous texture is reached.
* In a large bowl add the quinoa, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, salt, pepper, and chia seed mixture.
* Transfer the mixture onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet with spatula.
* Spread into an even layer.
* Bake for 30 minutes.
* Remove from oven then cut into desired cracker shapes.
* Carefully flip each cracker.
* Bake for 25 minutes.
* Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
* Store in an airtight container for up to one month.
* Add hummus, if desired.
* Enjoy!

* 2 ½ cups rolled oats
* 1 cup brown rice cereal
* ½ cup slivered almond
* ½ cup dried cranberry
* ½ cup dark chocolate
DRIZZLE
* ¼ cup dark chocolate, melted
* Preheat oven to 325˚F (160˚C).
* Combine wet ingredients together in a large bowl.
* Then add in all the remaining dry ingredients.
* Add mixture into a 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan lined with greased parchment paper. Firmly press down mixture until it is one smooth layer. (If you grease the spatula as well it will prevent the mixture from sticking to it!)
* Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool 10 minutes.
* Drizzle top with melted dark chocolate. Chill for 30 minutes, or until dark chocolate is solid.
* Cut into 8 equal pieces.
* Wrap each bar in parchment paper or foil.
* Store in the freezer for up to 3 months or in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

-ground turkey
-diced onions
-diced peppers
-diced cherry tomatoes
-shredded italiano mix cheese
-organic nacho chips
* would have topped with diced green onions and diced avocado after all cooked if i would’ve had some.

Layer chips on parchment. Sprinkle a layer if cheese (to help ingredients stay), load up on ingredients. Top with cheese and bake 400 - 10-12min.

🎶 DAAA - DA - Da- Da - DOMS!

Do you ever get the case of the DOMS? If you have, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

You have a great lift. You crushed some goals. And then the following 2-4 days are brutal. 😩

You can’t move.
You don’t want to move.
Everything hurts.

DOMS = Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness has set in.

The only thing I’ve found in my years of training that helps with DOMS is making sure I drink a rapid assimilated protein paired with the most simple, broken down carb source, immediately post workout.

It’s vital to have the broken down carb source, so your body doesn’t have to take time to digest it and can be immediately shuttled to your muscles to replenish the glycogen used up during your workout.

If you didn’t pair the carb with protein, then your body would convert the protein over into glycogen to replenish the glycogen in your body, before it will use the protein for what you intend it for - to repair the micro trauma tears in your muscles.

So, I make sure to always take my Ignition and Phormula-1 post workout, so I can recover quickly, get right back at it, and not be down due to the nasty case of DOMS. 🥴

Its funny actually because the Universe totally conspired to get me to the gym today by throwing detours on my route home and forcing me to walk for half an hour from my bus stop, and literally get picked up outside the gym!! So I went home for dinner and then came back to the gym. After all, the Universe worked hard to get me here...might as well cooperate!! Ps I love my post workout Booster Juice (matcha monsoon tonight!). .
