Because my why is so much bigger than my excuses.

Yes it’s early.

Yes it’s cold.

But I also hated tugging my pants over my stomach every time I sat down.

I hated being winded just walking up the stairs.

I hated washing my work pants every night because I only had one pair that still fit.

The reasons why I wanted to feel comfortable in my skin again were so much bigger than all of the excuses running through my head.

Recently I was able to be one of the first to be a part of an early access group and try our 100 workout program, and this is my transformation!

Those 100 workouts help me develop a lean, toned athletic body and drop down another pant size.

I now how the opportunity to allow 20 people to join me in our next VIP group for our new program launching next month!! It will be a fun fusion of ballet barre, Pilates, and cardio interval training.
No dance experience necessary, but I am looking for people who are ready to go ALL in and get results!

Day 25 - #30daystohealthyliving

Just chilling with the kids. There’s a whole lot to do but the best thing about breastfeeding a baby is that it forces me to slow down and sit. ⠀

So I don’t believe I’m almost at the end of the 30 days. The first week was the hardest and now clean eating is quite a habit for me. Yesterday when I went to visit a friend with the kids, I looked in my pantry and there was literally nothing much to take there. ⠀

I ended up filling my bag with a few carrots, oranges, pears, apples and a jar of almond butter. Fill yourself up with the good stuff and you won’t crave the others!! ⠀

I’ve been pretty happy with my journey. I had a few cheat days and I’m not beating myself over that. I haven’t starved myself much and I’ve started back exercising, not intensively and missed heaps of workouts but at least I know I’ve tried. ⠀

I’ve only weighed myself once a week and the loss has been slow but I wasn’t expecting to drop much. Weight is not the best indicator of health. ⠀

Now naptime for Sophie, leftover dinner for lunch and #mumjobs.

Please tell me he’ll stay a mamas boy forever 😭😂😭💙 ⁣

He’ll be 8 months in a couple days and I can’t believe it! and I could have sworn he said MOM yesterday. It may have been when he was fighting his nap/crying in his crib for me but I heard it! 😅 We’re still waiting for his teeth to come in and his sisters bring him EVERYTHING he wants so he may not crawl for awhile either 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

My must have in my ER order every month is Life 9. Guys, this has been a serious game changer for me after having my daughter (all you mamas know what I’m talking about). I’m not a doctor so you should definitely check with yours before you change up your routine but, if you have any issues with digestion and are looking for a good probiotic, I recommend giving this one a shot. More than just ab exercises affect your core and this is an example of how!!Many women think if they don’t do crunches your Diastasis will go away. While this is true certain core exercise can hinder and even cause DR it’s not the whole story. Having full awareness of your movements in all exercises and daily movements is a huge key that is often forgotten.

Healing is truly about doing things properly to retain the core to DO its job correcting (connecting rather than pushing out) That’s why just avoiding ab exercises alone isn’t the best route for improving the core.

Take a look at your workouts.....When your moving limbs away, doing pushing or pulling movements, and fighting gravity what is your core doing? Have you lifted the PF and wrapped TVA in like a corset to protect the core?

In daily movements what is your core doing when you bend to pick up something or someone heavy, hold a baby, sit straight up out of bed like a sit up or when you lean back to rinse the soap out of your hair on the shower? Are you using good posture and engaging your core correctly? Are you aware of what your core even does during these daily movements?

In all these movements the Core NEEDS to turn on. Correct posture helps and in exercise lifting the PF & wrapping the TVA in to protect it self is critical to healing and or creating a functional core with less pain, less leakage, better sex, and a flatter core.

Oh the joys of the 2 to 1 nap transition! For some babies nap transitions are a breeze, for others it’s a little rocky.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here are a few signs that your child is going through the 2-1 nap transition.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Refused morning or afternoon nap (I always recommend keeping baby in the crib between 1 and 1.5 hours to give plenty of opportunity to take that nap).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Timing of the naps change significantly pushing the bedtime later and affecting night sleep.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Earlier wake-up when your child otherwise is on a good sleep schedule and is well rested.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Shortening of naps.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ive lost nearly another stone since this was taken, post natal weight changes so quickly and oddly and I was still breastfeeding here all the time!
Cant wait to shoot with her again in January. Also to completely laugh our arses off for 48 hours xxxxx

"Your body just did this amazing thing, you should love it as is"-- other people to me after the birth of my daughter. ⁣

You're right, my body DID just do this incredible thing. And I fully appreciated everything it did. But I was still uncomfortable in my skin. ⁣

I don't think that should be shamed. See, I had gotten to know my body of the course of nearly 30 years. Then over the course of 9 months it shifted and changed to grow this beautiful human. Then she was on the outside and I was left feeling like a stranger in my body. It had nothing to do with not appreciating and loving what my body had done. ⁣

When I started back on my wellness journey, it had nothing to do with being skinny or getting my pre-baby body back (because things will always be fundamentally different). It had everything to do with taking control of the parts I could. Getting to know this new version of me, by taking 30(ish) min a day for myself. Becoming stronger and increasing my energy so I could keep up with my growing girl. ⁣

You're right, my body DID just do this incredible thing. And I fully appreciated everything it did. But I was still uncomfortable in my skin. ⁣

I don't think that should be shamed. See, I had gotten to know my body of the course of nearly 30 years. Then over the course of 9 months it shifted and changed to grow this beautiful human. Then she was on the outside and I was left feeling like a stranger in my body. It had nothing to do with not appreciating and loving what my body had done. ⁣
⁣
When I started back on my wellness journey, it had nothing to do with being skinny or getting my pre-baby body back (because things will always be fundamentally different). It had everything to do with taking control of the parts I could. Getting to know this new version of me, by taking 30(ish) min a day for myself. Becoming stronger and increasing my energy so I could keep up with my growing girl. ⁣

More than just ab exercises affect your core and this is an example of how!!Many women think if they don’t do crunches your Diastasis will go away. While this is true certain core exercise can hinder and even cause DR it’s not the whole story. Having full awareness of your movements in all exercises and daily movements is a huge key that is often forgotten.

Healing is truly about doing things properly to retain the core to DO its job correcting (connecting rather than pushing out) That’s why just avoiding ab exercises alone isn’t the best route for improving the core.

Take a look at your workouts.....When your moving limbs away, doing pushing or pulling movements, and fighting gravity what is your core doing? Have you lifted the PF and wrapped TVA in like a corset to protect the core?

In daily movements what is your core doing when you bend to pick up something or someone heavy, hold a baby, sit straight up out of bed like a sit up or when you lean back to rinse the soap out of your hair on the shower? Are you using good posture and engaging your core correctly? Are you aware of what your core even does during these daily movements?

In all these movements the Core NEEDS to turn on. Correct posture helps and in exercise lifting the PF & wrapping the TVA in to protect it self is critical to healing and or creating a functional core with less pain, less leakage, better sex, and a flatter core.

So i'm at the end of the longest "21 day fix" ever and though I haven't finished in 21 days, I moved from 3 and 5 lb weights to 8 lb weights. I'm getting stronger!
Frustratingly enough I've been stuck at 29.4 lbs lost since having my son in August (a lot was baby). That last lb has been dangling in front of me for two weeks. Sometimes it's hard to remember that I am building muscle, not just losing fat. So close to the next 10 lb weight group and a 30lb loss. Crazy. It will happen. I just gotta keep sticking to it. I was honestly really excited for this progress photo . From last month I told myself that I will only keep improving myself. It’s not just motivation because I can guarantee you that I was NOT motivated everyday, but I still pushed through it everyday.
I am not a patient person at all either, but PATIENCE is a huge factor into this. We live in a generation where everything is at our fingertips. We forget the amount of work we have to put into something and the amount of time it takes.
If you’ve been following me throughout this journey, you know there’s been no short cuts🙅🏻‍♀️ I track my macros each and every day, for every single meal, even when we go out to eat.
I train 5-6 days a week. I’ve gone down in cardio to 2 days a week.
I’m a full time student, a full time mom, full time “wife”, and I’ve been full time building this fitness program I hope you all will get to enjoy soon.

There are 2 excuses I hear all the time

1) I don't have the money right now
2) i don't have the time 🤔 The money thing I kinda get because it was scary for me to spend money on myself. Before I started I was ALWAYS last priority and never spent anything that was just for me! But I found ways to cut things out of my budget and we made it work! (Even thought I could have just cancelled the gym sooner and it would have more than paid for it!! )

Time- I really don't want to sound mean but I never understood this excuse.... don't we all have the same 24 hours in a day?! We get to choose what we spend our time doing! Before kids I worked 55 hours a week and my friend and I would get up at 430 and meet at the gym at 5 before being at work at 9! We have nurses in our group who work 12hours shifts still showing up! Brand new mommies who are still figuring it all out but making time to show up for their health, I am a full time mommy of insanely hyper 3 and 5 year old, I get up at 4 most days to baby sit for a friend and I teach gymnastics classes 3 nights a week! I still make time.. of course its super easy to make time when it's just 30 minutes right in my livingroom ! 😜 Excuses stop being valid when you stop giving into them! "Not changing is choosing to stay the same! And that's okay just don't complain about it!" I dont know about you but change is what I'm going for! I will not end 2019 feeling disappointed with myself or letting my goals sit on the side lines anymore and neither should you!! THIS.IS.YOUR.TIME to becoming the healthiest, happiest best version of yourself! Join me and let's crush 𝗡𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿! Together!

Good bye pre-pregnancy jeans. 👋🏻 It was fun, but I don’t need you anymore and can’t wait to get you out of my house.
It’s been almost 5 years since I started growing humans in my body and there was a time I thought “I can’t wait to get back into those jeans”, but I lit that version of myself on fire YEARS ago and grew a new me.

The new me thinks we should set fire to the “get your body back” narrative. Society told us that. And society is so often WRONG.
Your body grows, it’s a fact of childbearing. Whether you’re roughly the same weight or not, your rib cage is bigger, your breasts don’t feel (or look, or hang) the same, your hips widen and things just don’t fit the way they used to. Imagine if instead of that making us feel bad it made us feel empowered? Look what our body did. It grew a human (or two), it nourished itself and other beings and at the end of that journey it still works. Exactly as it’s supposed to. Although, maybe with some stitches. 😉
You know what never returns to what it was before? The mother. The father. The new parent. You can’t get you back. You’re gone. And a new, better, more honest, more authentic you is in its place. And you’re better for it. So why hang onto the jeans? Torch them. Torch the jeans. Torch it all. (Or donate them if you’re literally talking about jeans); it’d be wasteful to actually torch them.

These pictures are a year apart! On the right I was unknowingly pregnant, on the left I am 3.5 months post baby. I have gained so much weight again. Being a single mother can be challenging, but one of the biggest challenges is by far balancing my time. Between working a full time job and daycare drop off/pick ups, care for Sam. I have very little time to eat proper meals and I am just getting into the swing of things. That being said taking my health by the horns and getting back on track for me and my son is insanely important. So here I am starting my health journey again with so much more to gain for myself and my son. Keep holding myself accountable and turning my goals into reality.

Owning it: my body isn’t what it used to be. ⠀⠀

⠀⠀
And why should it be? My body completely changed over the course of the last 9+ months. I can’t expect it to be the same, or to simply “bounce back”. Fact is, it will never “be the same”. It can only be better.
⠀⠀
The truth: I’ve been able to workout 3x since Aidan was born and each session has been HUMBLING to say the least. Finding the time to get away is HARD. Being a mama is demanding and exhausting... not all pretty filtered photos you see on Instagram. If I get to shower or 💩 it’s a huge win. BUT as he’s getting bigger I’m making more of a conscious effort to take time to fill my own cup so I can give my family the best version of myself. ⠀⠀
In the gym, my strength has suffered the most (especially, and not surprising: my core & glutes) something I’ll focus on going forward.
I constantly remind myself that good form > weight lifted. Again, fact that I’ve gotten a few workouts in is huge. These 40-60 minutes help me stay sane and keep me- ME. ⠀⠀

Owning it: my body isn’t what it used to be. ⠀⠀
Obviously.
⠀⠀
And why should it be? My body completely changed over the course of the last 9+ months. I can’t expect it to be the same, or to simply “bounce back”. Fact is, it will never “be the same”. It can only be better.
⠀⠀
The truth: I’ve been able to workout 3x since Aidan was born and each session has been HUMBLING to say the least. Finding the time to get away is HARD. Being a mama is demanding and exhausting... not all pretty filtered photos you see on Instagram. If I get to shower or 💩 it’s a huge win. BUT as he’s getting bigger I’m making more of a conscious effort to take time to fill my own cup so I can give my family the best version of myself. ⠀⠀
In the gym, my strength has suffered the most (especially, and not surprising: my core & glutes) something I’ll focus on going forward.
I constantly remind myself that good form > weight lifted. Again, fact that I’ve gotten a few workouts in is huge. These 40-60 minutes help me stay sane and keep me- ME. ⠀⠀
So, wherever you are in your journey: own it.  There is power in owning the process, and as a coach, I can tell you from experience that those who do are happier, and reach their goals faster. Imagine that!

10 weeks postpartum. I’d be lying if I said it’s not hard, the extra 20 pounds that won’t budge. So, please: Can we allow postpartum mamas to talk about wanting to lose our “baby weight” without interrupting by saying: “But you have a healthy, beautiful baby boy. Don’t worry about the weight. Just enjoy your baby.” YES. I’m eternally grateful for my boy. Always. And do you know what else I can be? Uncomfortable in my body. The body that just grew and nourished and now nurtures and feeds my sweet boy feels foreign to me and I’m uncomfortable. And I yearn to feel like myself, after almost a year of being out of order. So, the next time a new mama confides in you that she’s trying to lose the baby weight, please don’t assume that means she doesn’t immensely love and enjoy her new baby. Pass up the shame and judgement and instead respond: “You will find yourself again. It might take some time, but you will.” 🖤 #mykindofsweet

How do you know when your done having kids... asking for a friend 😉........I know what your thinking. Andrea you have lost your mind do you not see you have 4 kids 6 and under already? I mean 4 was a straight kicker for us and I already do not claim to be organized and on top of things by any means as you can see in my Instagram stories today🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️. It’s chaos over here. So another kid, really?? I feel like I am getting older, dreading another pregnancy, and feel ready to move out of the baby stage of life (because with each baby born it’s like starting the race over). It’s tricky.

I never imagined myself to be the woman with lots of kids as I have never been a kid/baby person even though my husband always wanted his own team🤣 but after we did fertility for 2.5 years & I thought I would never have any kids it changed everything. With each baby we have changed more and more and I fall deeper in love with the Miracle they are!! And I actually don’t mind the chaos. I just don’t know if I see Easty as the “baby” of the family. But friends keep reminding me that babies turn into teenagers and I will have 4 at a time (13-18years at one point😳). Am I crazy?

So I just don’t know.. do we have one more planning to make a grand entrance into our family or are we done? Am I mourning the end of a stage of life or am I feeling a ache in my heart for something that’s not done yet? I am so TORN. Of course we are thinking and praying about it but seriously but how did you know or are you feeling confused like me?

I just ran a full 5km without stopping for the first time in over 11 months 😱
.
I can’t quite believe it. I was psyching myself out of it before we’d even started, telling @fiona_slimmingworld_diaries and @mrs_led04 that I’d definitely still need walking breaks. Fiona said she’d really like to run without stopping even if it was slow and of course it planted a little seed in my mind....
.
Before I knew it, Vicky and Fiona were full on pacing me and coaching me through the run as I barely caught my breath and wobbled along, a few paces behind.
.
By the last lap I knew I could do it. Back in my happy (and painful) place. Hurty chest. Jelly legs. Loud sighs. Determination face. Gosh how I’ve missed this.
.
And 5km done - and another postpartum PB ✅
