Soooo... I spent last night standing on stage at the Punch Line making people laugh. That's right, I make people laugh for fun! My hobby is stand-up comedy (is that a super weird hobby? It feels weird calling it that.) Since the beginning of the year I've been going out and performing and I am having a dang good time doing it. ⁣
⁣
Here's why I'm telling you this on my photography page - being funny has been the most important tool I have as a photographer. Better than any lens or camera body or photo trick or software. Making people laugh while they are in a situation that is nothing short of uncomfortable is my super power. Being photographed is weird! (Weirder even than comedy being your secret hobby) It's human nature to be suspect of being photographed. It is strange to have a person pointing a camera at you. That can almost feel like someone pointing a weapon at you. But when you work with me, you not only get my excellent ability to make pretty pictures, but you get a comedy show too. I promise to make you laugh. Your session with me will be practically painless. The only thing hurting will be your sides. ;)⁣
⁣
And if you want to follow along with me on my comedy aventure head on over to @sarahmarencomedy. I'm usually good for passes to shows or a chuckle if you need it.
