Such a beautiful view outside the family home 🏠
I forgot how different the landscape is along with the winding roads 😳I was a little nervous with driving at the start of our trip and using a manual again!! As the end of our jam packed trip is almost over, I’m whizzing around those bends and I can even feel my core engaging 😂😂😂 When you’re feeling nervous about a change or you’re outside your comfort zone- embrace it 🙏🏼 One common block with change is thinking we can’t do it! With practice comes the confidence 🌸

Get used to feeling uncomfortable, challenge your mind with it and enjoy the growth 😘

I've never liked to see myself in photos. It's because I am always looking for the best shape or perfect position purely for the camera. After many many years studying the body & functional movement, I now clearly understand that most of the time the aesthetic perfection doesn't necessarily mean more functionality for your body - all bodies and postures are different.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. Grasp suspension handles and momentarily step back until arms are extended forward and straight.
2. While keeping arms straight and shoulders back, step forward so body reclines back behind suspension handles.
3. Position body and legs straight at desired angle, hanging from handles with arms straight and palms facing downward.
4. Raise arms upward over head by flexing shoulders with arms straight. 5. Return and lower body back until arms are extended straight forward in original position.
6. Repeat movements until you have competed the required number of reps in your set.

If you’re new to kettlebell, barbell, or bodyweight training—all forms of strength training for that matter—you may have struggled with finding, let alone feeling, your lat muscles. You are not alone—this is very common. Until you can connect with these awesome muscles (not just knowing where they are but how to activate them optimally for the job at hand), your body will resort to whatever means it can find to deliver the movement you’re hoping to achieve. . . .
Senior StrongFirst Certified Instructor Betsy Collie shares her deceptively simple hold variation that helps your brain connect with your lats. Once you know how to recruit them, you’ll be able to use that perception to improve kettlebell swings & snatches, deadlifts, pull-ups, rows, bench presses, etc. Other than maybe unloaded calf raises, strong lats help with everything (actually they contribute to posture so even for calf raises if those are your thing).

Instead of holding your kettlebell in a traditional goblet hold by the horns, flip it upside down, holding it between you palms. Do not cheat by using your fingers to cup the kettlebell from above or to support the weight in your palms from underneath—that’s too easy. Instead, hold the bell like a vice grip with your palms while pointing your elbows down (don’t let them flare out…this is a lat move not one for your pecs.) This “vice hold” is is a foolproof way to feel your lats engage in “simple” standing isometrics, while take it for an innovative carry (walk around), in squats or in lunges. Find your lats—then explore how much stronger they make your movements.

Kellie had been suffering with bloating, digestive distress and discomfort for a long time.

Coming into our program she instinctively avoided certain foods and had kind of submitted to the fact that this was how life was going to be.

Within 2 weeks we had identified the root cause of the issue and started addressing it.

Now Kellie’s digestion is at about a 8/10 she has more energy, performs better at work, more confidence and weight management is now easier to manipulate.

Well done the Kellie for trusting me, giving me detailed and accurate feedback and well done to Kellie for seeing this through.
