💊THE ILLUSION CALLED DISEASE PART 1💊

The first step to understanding disease is understanding what species we are and what foods we're designed to consume. If you haven't yet read my post about why we are a frugivore species, you can find it a few posts back! The second step is understanding the laws of nature and what happens when we break them.

Doctors like to blame diseases on pathogens, bacteria, viruses, etc. but nothing could be further from the truth! Believe it or not, diseases are not even real! They are merely labels that man has given to a set of symptoms, without addressing the actual cause of those symptoms. And oftentimes when they can't find an answer to a particular set of symptoms, they blame it on "auto-immune disease" - which in essence means "we have no idea!" Either way, they'll give you a prescription to try to "treat" the disease, but in reality, this does not fix the cause of the problem. It actually pushes it farther back into the body. This leads to more problems down the road and over time even death. Doctors also like to tell us that diet has nothing to do with disease, continuing to push these acidic chemical medications and high protein diets, but this just makes the problem worse. The medical industry is funded by the pharmaceutical industry and doctors make money off of every prescription they write, so if they were to actually heal you they would no longer be able to make money off of you.

Everything is cause and effect and the only way to truly fix the problem that is causing the symptom is with cellular detoxification. Let's take a closer look at what those causes are:

1. Genetic Weakness: Our physical body is a genetic imprint of our family tree, and our inherent cellular strengths and weaknesses come from our genetic history. We are born with a particular blueprint, and as we mature we either make these weaknesses stronger or weaker depending upon our lifestyle. This is important to take into consideration because currently each generation is getting weaker instead of stronger, and today, more than ever, people are consuming very high amounts of toxins, by what we eat, drink, breathe and put on our skin.

A time to weep and a time to heal. This pain that you're experiencing is only for a moment. Don't feel like this is the end because it's not! This too shall pass darling! Don't you worry! God is powerful than any pain, evil force or any other thing! Honey, before you know it you will be dancing and singing again!

Our cells have genetic memories and they use them to function. Just as certain experiences leave us weak and vulnerable, the same is true for our cells. Physical acids and toxins can weaken and injure our cells. All of this together determines the strength or weakness of our cells, organs and glands, and whether or not they will provide the necessary functions they were originally designed to perform. Gland weakness, which can also be caused by genetics, is another issue that is very prevalent among most people today, such as adrenal, pituitary, thyroid/parathyroid, thymus and so on. This inhibits proper hormone and steroid production and lowers the body's ability to fight acids, adding to the causes of disease.

2. Toxicity: Toxicity, which in other words means poison, can include many things such as mucus congestion, toxic chemicals and irritants, heavy metals, sulphur, complex sugars, and parasites (microscopic ones like viruses, bacteria, fungus, candida, or large ones like rope worms, tapeworms, flukes, etc.) All of this toxicity, which is mostly acidic, comes from the foods we eat, the air we breathe, our body and household products, building materials, etc. This toxicity, being acidic, stores itself in all the tissues of the body, burning them up and causing inflammation and congestion, to the point of tissue death. Combine this toxicity with an over-acidic diet and the result is inflammation, ulceration, tumours and eventually cellular degeneration and death.

3. Acidosis: There are only two sides to chemistry - acid and alkaline. Most of the foods people eat today are acid-forming, and cellular metabolism leaves an acidic residue in the body. Because most people’s lymphatic systems (the body's sewer system) are clogged from excess mucus production, and their kidneys are not filtering the lymph fluid properly, these acids become trapped in the body and destroy the organs, glands and tissues of the body. Believe it or not, ‘physical therapy’ is often not physical at all. In some cases, it would be more appropriately named ‘machine therapy’.
⬇️
The field of outpatient physical therapy was inundated with electrical ‘modalities’ somewhere along the line. These modalities are often machines that are used for different purposes, such as TENS, Muscle stims, Therapeutic ultrasound, shockwave, Interferential current, laser etc.
⬇️
Some are for helping TEMPORARILY relieve pain, others such as ultrasound have little to no scientific evidence to back up their use for tissue healing based on literature reviews...
YET these machines can often take up the majority of time during a PHYSICAL therapy session.
⬇️
Therapists at clinics such as these are often seeing 3-4 patients an hour, so these machines are often used to fill time that is not spent with the therapist. They are easy to hook up or get assistants to administer them. There may be a time for the use of a machine, but not as a significant component of the treatment.

Time spent on machines is time not spent on actual physical therapy. The stuff that research actually backs, the stuff that actually works:
• Strength training/Mobility training
• Balance/Proprioception work
• Movement training
• Patient education
• Addressing the root causes of someone’s pain, not just covering it up temporarily.
• etc.
❌ If you are spending more time hooked up to machines than with a therapist and/or moving, exercising, strengthening etc...You might want to go elsewhere. This isn’t physical therapy, it’s something else (machine therapy?).
↪️ Unfortunately this is quite common, and people are spending time and money on it rather than on physical therapy.

☕️ Never been able to touch the toes?! Give this toe touch progression a try. When performing this, just make sure you're pushing the hips back as you touch the toes. Credit to the guys over at FMS for putting this toe touch progression together years ago!

🌯Here's how to do the toe touch progression!

👉Start by testing yourself
Keep the knees straight and try and touch the toes.
1️⃣ Start by placing a rolled up towel or anything you can squeeze between the knees.
2️⃣ Place your toes on a rolled up towel or anything that is raised.
3️⃣ Squeeze the towel and attempt to touch the toes.
4️⃣ Perform five reps.

👉 Step over the towel and place the heels on the towel, so the heels are raised.
🆗 Now repeat steps 3️⃣ and 4️⃣

👉Stand on a flat surface.
🆗 Now repeat steps 3️⃣ and 4️⃣

Now time to retest.
