Here’s the truth about haters…

They are insecure and feel insignificant.

A person hates you for 1 of 3 reasons:

1) They want to be you.

2) They hate themselves.

3) They see you as a threat.

When they see other people improving their life and becoming successful, its a direct reflection to them of what they should be doing but are not.

So, they try to spread their negativity hoping that you will stop so they no longer have to look at themselves.

In other words, they want to bring you down with them and steal your inner peace.

Every day is going to be a battle with them.

You just need to rise above it all and stay positive.

Whatever happens, don’t let them bring you down.

Focus on yourself and keep hustling and grinding.

tomorrow i’m moving into my dorm to start my sophomore year of college. i’m transferring to a new school and dorming for the first time. i’m starting a brand new chapter in my life. i have been reflecting a lot. this past year has been the wildest ride. i went from feeling so alone, having no direction, walking around feeling hopeless, etc. to falling in love, getting into my dream school, pursuing a career i am passionate about, and improving my mental health. all in one year. it’s truly amazing. i feel so blessed and grateful for everything that has happened. holding onto hope and having faith got me through some of my hardest times. however, i’ve also realized that if you want something, and you feel it in your gut, you have to go after it. follow your intuition, you know the right decision deep down. i’ve spent so many years feeling stressed, anxious, and depressed. i’ve spent so much time worrying about the future and things i can’t control. but things ended up working out. it was quite the roller coaster ride, but things really do get better. i know i’m going to have good days and bad. there is going to be a whole range of new obstacles along the way. however, these next coming years i want to try and let go. follow my heart and hold onto hope. try and focus on each day as it comes. i am so grateful to God, my boyfriend, my friends, my family, and this year for changing my life. it is time for me to set sail on a brand new journey⛵️💛 wish me luck!

Sometimes things are hard. I have bad days, days where getting out of bed is an effort, days where all I feel I can do is sit and cry because I can’t feel at all. Depression is a waking nightmare. 〰️
The biggest challenge is pushing through those days. It’s easier said than done, and if you need to close yourself away and do nothing for a little while that’s okay, but pulling through is vital.
〰️
Don’t let yourself become your depression. Always remember the good days, however long ago they may be. Celebrate the smallest of victories, even if it’s just having a shower or eating something. You deserve to feel like you’re doing something right, especially when everything feels like it’s going wrong.

2 years ago today I posted about my struggles with depression. This is a hard one for me to post because It’s personal. I had to dig deep so I can let go. Hoping that this gives someone the strength to forgive those who hurt them and take responsibility and choose to unlearn old habits and replace them with healthy habits.

This is an important reminder for all sufferers and carers going through recovery. Once you make that decision and plant the seed it doesn’t make you automatically recovered. Day to day it’s hard to see the progress but now three years on from attending a six week day program at the SA State Wide Eating Disorder Service my life is extremely different in a positive way from what it was. I am happier, healthier and much more present and aware in my life. The recovery journey is extremely difficult but so worth the effort!

This is an important reminder for all sufferers and carers going through recovery. Once you make that decision and plant the seed it doesn’t make you automatically recovered. Day to day it’s hard to see the progress but now three years on from attending a six week day program at the SA State Wide Eating Disorder Service my life is extremely different in a positive way from what it was. I am happier, healthier and much more present and aware in my life. The recovery journey is extremely difficult but so worth the effort!

Where ever you are, take a moment to inhale a deep breath just for the sake of appreciating life and your ability to still take action on anything you choose.

The virtue of gratitude is the path toward peace of mind and contented acceptance. Both of those things sound good don't they? You strive towards those states of being unconsciously anyway so, why not take advantage of what is given so freely, like fresh air, and appreciate that.

You can be at work anywhere around the world, hanging with friends, just waking up, going to bed, eating... try make a habit practicing gratitude of the breath by inhaling deeply and slowly, and you will find an automatic sense of calmness take over the body. Do it in moments of nervousness, uneasiness, panic, mental clouding, sadness, loneliness, or any states of cognitive dissonance and just feel the difference it makes.

Do it daily and watch your perspective on life begin to change for the better.

•Close your eyes and breathe in through your nose, allowing the air downward into your lower belly. Let your abdomen expand fully.
•Breathe out through your mouth.
•Focus on an aspect of your breathing, such as the sensations of air flowing into your nostrils and out of your mouth, or your belly rising and falling as you inhale and exhale.
•If your mind starts to wander, return your focus to your breathing with no judgment.

I’m sorry for not being consistent with my posts. I’ve had a rough week. Well I wouldn’t say “rough” more of being inconvenient to my weekly schedule. I have only gotten to work out once this week, but will be back next week. I have been dealing with my mental clarity. All I have been wanting to do is sleep, and live in my dreams. I can’t tell you how many naps I’ve had today. I’ve been deeply sad for no particular reason. I want to think and say my hormones are unbalanced because it’s that time of time he month. Aside from my known depression, to be honest I have noticed somedays my mood has been at an extreme high. Again for not particular reason.  Im not a doctor so I can’t properly diagnose myself, but I don’t know what normal is for me. People around me have been walking on eggshells not knowing which Ravynn they will get that day, I have pushed people away and again just want to be alone. I will be going to the doctor soon to figure it out, and will be open about my mental clarity journey. A healthy body needs a healthy mind. I can’t come on here and advertise a healthy lifestyle if I’m not taking care of all of me. For my family, friends, and most importantly my son.

Don’t be confused, I don’t believe passion is just what makes you happy. I believe passion is the deep seeded spirit of the divine within you that when manifested, makes you fulfilled, when used to serve other people. How that is manifested is where people get caught up, because you think that God would never call you to play Fortnite for a living, so you follow a corporate career that forces you into a cubicle where you are miserable.

To me, what matters so much more than what you do, is how you do it. Being a professional Fortnite competitor, within a deeply connected community, where the trust is so tight that you have a profound influence on people, is a platform to share the gospel that would make every pastor in the world jealous.

Then you play differently. You don’t get angry, you support other players, you make conversation, you sacrifice a game for someone else, you act so counter-culture that people start to question who you are in the best possible way, and then you share why you do it - Jesus.

Then you become the only person who is able to ever reach these people, oh, but you chose the corporate world....
