This class takes a low-impact approach to movement, using parkour techniques and approaches to explore your body and your city.

Developed especially for the needs of older people, Parkour Mature will increase your balance, agility, strength and overall fitness, through fun and functional training.
Parkour Mature is a great way to remain agile as you age!

Wednesdays 11am:
Technique-focused sessions to introduce techniques and training approaches you can then explore throughout the week.
60 mins, $15 per person

Sundays 11am:
Longer sessions that also include conditioning exercises, for building strength, endurance and capability for older people.
90 mins, $20 per person

Just like your judge isn’t there to coach you in competition.

There is a reason @crossfittraining includes a very specific clause in their Judges Course about not needing to comment on an athletes form, it either counts or it doesn’t and it’s their job to keep track of how many reps you’ve completed.

Your coach is here to *coach* you. To teach you. To show you better, safer, more efficient ways of completing your workout/training. To progress you. When there is no judge to rely on (aka 99% of the time) counting your reps is UP TO YOU!

If your coach is pulling you up on your form or not meeting movement standards it is *your* job to no-rep yourself, ensure that you don’t include reps that don’t count in your final score, time, load for the day [and the most important part] do that rep AGAIN!

Why?? It’s called integrity. It’s doing the right thing when no one is watching (or in this case, judging). Why else? Well, when you go back and check your previous results and wonder why you didn’t lift as heavy, go as fast or move as many reps - you won’t have to wonder if maybe you didn’t accurately log your score that day. You won’t get pulled up in the Open (or competition) because you would have worked on all the things that have caused no-reps over the training year. You would have learned better technique and improved because accepting that you have things to work on is the only way to create change and progress.

So I repeat, your coach isn’t here to count your reps. That’s your job. (Don’t get me wrong though, your coach always knows when you’re counting dodgy reps - they always know.) #integrity #norep
