Nicole is getting stronger and stronger and more important than anything her technique is improving. We can all add the weight to the bar and attempt to lift it with bad form, but the more impressive lifts to me are the ones where form hasn’t been compromised much at all. proud of you Nicole 🧡

I haven’t been able to get through this sticky spot since I pulled 250 months ago. I know I possess the strength, but mentally I fail to execute. .

That’s okay though, perseverance and consistency. I’m coming for you 😈 if there is ANYTHING I’ve learned about myself through this past year or so is this... eventually, I will get what I want, I will reach my goals, and in the meantime, I’ll enjoy the process. 👊🏼

I was so wrecked doing these sets. Sore and fatigue levels so high that I skipped deadlifts and everything else. But it's all good. There are two ways to deload... lower the weight or lower the rep counts to failure (or number of sets). Here I'm doing the later. Even tho this is ~80% of my top calc max, with a belt I can do 7-8 reps fresh. So I'm doing less reps than I normally could. And the reason I'm doing 80% of max is because I'm trying to build a really dam strong core. To be honest... I think fresh at 💯 I think I can probably hit 6 reps beltless. I feel that strong. My current top is 5. At 6 reps I'd be 1-2 reps shy of my belt max. That's insane!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ive realised that the reason I attend gym has changed. At the beginning it was just about changing the way I looked,now it has become a form of therapy. Im starting to care less about how I look,but seeing how much change I've undergone actually made me gasp a little 🤣🤣

This week’s progress Benching is progressing slowly. Passing the 300lb mark on bench 😭🙏 Manage to finally hit a NEW PR on deadlift slowly but surely 😤. Sadly my legs are injured can’t squat for a while 😭. But I want to keep getting stronger 😤. All this at 160lb body weight.

Sometimes I get lost in thought (y’all know I’m over-thinker) when I’m at the gym.

I start out thinking about my workout. When I get in the groove, my mind tends to wander off. Especially between circuits and when I’m done.

I go from thinking about what I did over that day, to what I’m doing the coming weeks, months, and even years!

I like thinking about the possibilities that could arise in the future BUT I know that it’s the steps I take today that are shaping that future.

Tonight I got up to 415 on deadlift! I’m excited to shoot for 500+ for the upcoming competition!!!

You’ll hear the cue ‘pull the bar into the body’- which means to use your lats to keep the bar close. Your lats should be turned on, keeping the bar nice and tight to your body. .
When athletes are learning to keep the bar close, they’ll either start bending the arms to rush the contact with the hips.. or start to pull early once the bar feels heavy. Either way, an early arm pull happens, and usually the bar gets bumped way out leading to a forward jump. .
Think about keeping your arms long throughout the whole pull, and allow your shoulders to come back behind the bar at extension. Focusing too much on ‘pulling the bar in’ can get you out of position. The bar will make contact- as long as you have tight lats! Be patient.. keep those arms LONG.
