I hadn’t planned on posting today because I want these posts to be forced. However, this evening I was conversing with a friend of mine over a variety of topics when they said to me *sometimes we don’t always have to stand for what’s right* This didn’t fully hit me until I was in my car. She was wrong- but she was also right. It is easy to just let things be. Protect ourselves and don’t stray too far from the path. However, I’ve always felt this need to stand up for what is right and it’s often gotten me in trouble. So why keep doing it? It’s simple: it’s right. More importantly, what about those who can’t, are too afraid, or don’t know how to? It’s not that we have to stand for them, but it’s that we should want to. Our education system is so focused on test scores and being the top in numbers rather than truly helping our students and educators. Sure, numbers look great when you’re at the top. But at what cost? The sanity of our students, their families, educators, our families? How much pressure are we putting on those groups? How much money are we spending to get those numbers, rather than on what our students and educators really need? What message are we sending to our students and educators? That fitting into a one-size-fits-all box is the goal? That if you don’t pass these tests, or earn a certain score, you’re not smart enough? Good enough? Real world ready? These are ALL things we would never want our students to think. And I’m going to ask it at the risk of backlash, are these numbers even real? Or have we altered tests to ensure we get at least some type of favorable score? The focus has got to change. I know many teachers, and know there are many I don’t know, that focus on more than just a test. However, those feelings our students, and educators, have about tests do not go away no matter what. At the top, something has got to change. And this is where it is hard. But it is so unbelievably necessary! Our students and educators deserve so much more and deserve the hard work needed to create that change. If we can push our students to see what they are capable of, than certainly we need to walk the walk as we talk the talk.
Let's not just remember this day March 22 World water day but lets remember this day everyday, lets connect to our consciousness, lets become conscious of our actions, lets stop polluting our environment we done enough suffering with endless wars and poverty. Let’s be patient as nature is. Let’s expend our energy in flowing naturally with the river of life, not struggling or resisting against the current but co-creating our experience. Sometimes, we are taken into troubled waters so that our hearts, our minds, and our spirit can be cleansed. The water is a teacher and a healer, offering lessons for those who choose to hear them and beauty for those who would see it. I wanted a really meaningful quote for this one but this will do. “No water, no life. No blue, no green.” – Sylvia Earle

Word of the day Consciousness: Consciousness has been defined as the state of being conscious; awareness of one’s own existence, sensations, thoughts. An awareness for what it is; internal knowledge. An inner awakening must take place within your mind, many people are asleep, living in a state of unconsciousness, fooled by the system that is in place. May these quotes inspire you to elevate your consciousness to a greater level so that you may live your dreams. 1 a : the quality or state of being aware especially of something within oneself
b : the state or fact of being conscious of an external object, state, or fact
c : awareness; especially : concern for some social or political cause
The organization aims to raise the political consciousness of teenagers.
2 : the state of being characterized by sensation, emotion, volition, and thought : mind
3 : the totality of conscious states of an individual
4 : the normal state of conscious life
5 : the upper level of mental life of which the person is aware as contrasted with unconscious processes.
A quote to whoever read this: “The core of your soul. The center of your being. the higher consciousness of your mind. That is where the kingdom of love and peace begins.” Anonymous #nowaternolife #conciousness #concious #awakening #awareness #letsallspeakup #letthathumaninsideyouout #lovechangeseverything #earth #ourworld #wakeup #life #love #peace #freeyourmind #freeypurself #ourselves #anonymous #knowledgeispower
"The mushroom said to me once: Nature loves courage. Nature loves courage, and I said – what’s the payoff on that? It said: It shows you that it loves courage because it will remove obstacles. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you up. It will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers, the one’s who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold – this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. It’s done by hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering that it’s a feather bed."
