I’m not saying that you need to take each banana you eat to a lab to run tests on it. Just be aware that different amounts of something will have a different calorie content, that’s all 😊

Small amounts add up and if you’re eating 500-1000 cals more than you thought in a week you’ll be confused why the progress isn’t there

Definitely feeling all the smoothie vibes with the heat this week! ☀️ This is a remake of one of my fave smoothies from  called Health Nut. It’s loaded with lots of frozen fruit so it’s got awesome texture and the flavor is 💯💯💯

Here’s what’s in it:
• 1/2 frozen banana • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries • 1/2 cup frozen mango • 1 scoop (about 2 tbsp) vanilla protein powder • 1 tbsp almond butter • 3/4 cup of almond milk

To make: Blend, top with topping of choice and enjoy!

PS: I added a handful of  frozen dragon fruit cubes this morning... just to make the smoothie a bit thicker after sitting in the fridge overnight. But I love the color it made the smoothie too! 💗

smoothie, which combines all the benefits of apple, avocado and flaxseeds.🙌🏻

½ Apple with peel
½ Avocado
1 Tablespoon of flaxseeds

Introducing my favorite quinoa #salad 🥗
This #quinoa salad is refreshing, crisp and delicious.😋
It’s made simply with fresh cucumber, red bell pepper, onion, fresh cilantro and a garlicky olive oil and lemon dressing. -

Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup uncooked quinoa, rinsed in a fine-mesh colander
* 1 cup water
* ¾ cup chopped onion (from 1 small onion)
* 1/2 cup mixed bell pepper & 🥒 cucumber slices
* 1 tablespoon olive or avocado 🥑 oil
* 1 tablespoon lemon 🍋 juice
* 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
* 1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
* 1/8 teaspoon fine sea or pink Himalayan salt
* Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
* 1 tablespoon of fresh cilantro leaves -

Instructions:
1. Cook quinoa according to package directions.
2. In a serving bowl combine the cucumber, bell pepper, onion and cilantro. Set aside.
3. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic and salt. Whisk until blended, then set aside.
4. Once the quinoa is mostly cool, add it to the serving bowl, and drizzle the dressing on top. Toss until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Season with black pepper, to taste, and add an extra pinch of salt if necessary. For best flavor, let the salad rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
5. This salad keeps well in the refrigerator, covered, for about 4 days. -

Ok… I did a thing…  I committed to 100 days with this amazing trainer and mom! 💯workouts
💯 days of following a simple nutrition plan.
💯days of working into my faith and inviting God into the journey.
💯days of sisterhood with women who are linking arms with me to do this TOGETHER!  A lot can happen in 100 days.
💯days are gonna pass anyways..... Why not make them count?
Why am I sharing this PUBLICLY?

To hold myself accountable and hopefully to inspire someone else to do something good for themselves.  #youareworthit 
And…..I’m so excited about this that I asked my coach if I could invite some friends to our private accountabilty group and she said YES!

But I can only bring 3….

Went to the gym very early today and it was quite busy but still was able to get the workout done 💪🏽⁣
⁣
So update on the 30 days to healthy living program:⁣
⁣
- I’m not getting bloated anymore ⁣
- my digestion is better than ever, lol⁣
- I’m sleeping throughout the whole night (finally)⁣
- I’m full of energy (thanks to my fizz hello 💁🏽‍♀️)⁣

📺I love a good Netflix binge as much as I enjoy a good sweat.

🍺I enjoy a tasty IPA as much as I like my water.

Over the years, I’ve realized that I don’t need to have the 6 pack abs, the perfect booty, or a smaller clothing size if it means giving up the lifestyle I love.

And neither should you!

What matters more to me is feeling strong and confident in my body while being able to have a drink 🍺 with friends, go on vacation ☀️ or take a rest day without guilt.

I want to feel like I can still climb a damn mountain when I’m 80 years old 😂 Is that too much to ask?

First day at the gym after 2 weeks away. Oh it felt soooooo good. And didn’t do to bad. But I can tell some of the muscle strength has been lost during 2 weeks without weight training. I have just been running and doing exercises on the floor with water bottles for 2 weeks. I guess I’ll soon pick it up again and things will go back to normal 😊felt good and I was sweating like crazy. Afterwards a stir fry with rice noddles( lower in fat and sugar) half of an avocado from yesterday( needed to be eaten) and chicken. 🐣Before you ask, how can I build muscle and lose fat at the same time. Stop trying to do so. Focus on fat loss first, and when you are at a bodyfat% where you’re comfortable to build muscle and gain some fat again, then you can go on and build muscle. That’s the best strategy you can use in that situation.⁣

👉Now, let’s dive into it. As you can see, there’s barely ANY difference between the two, but why? Let me elaborate on it my friend⁣

You see, the only thing that should change when you’re trying to lose fat is the QUANTITIES of the foods you’re eating. Of course, you want to changing some food choices, but largely… You want to be keeping them the same.⁣

As long as you can keep your calories where they’re supposed to be and keep your protein intake high. You’re good. It doesn’t really matter what you’re eating when it comes to body composition.⁣
.⁣
That doesn’t mean you can eat junk all day. Definitely not. Overall health, cell health and all of that stuff is VERY important too, not even to forget about energy levels during the day. You want to be eating mostly whole foods so you can stay energized all day long, you can ensure you’re a healthy human being.⁣

Once in a while, I crave an old favorite of mine as a teenager. It’s a very specific concoction. Campbell’s tomato soup made with milk.
Break up stoned wheat thins (crackers) in bottom of bowl. Add slices of cheddar cheese. Pour hot soup over and let the cheese melt into oozy goodness. Sprinkle with coarse black pepper. Enjoy!

High-carb, low nutritional value, totally enjoyable. 😆

Yea well I was 290 pounds that was my highest weight that was during my fresh men year of college I was always a chubby thick kid through out high school but then I went to college got put on birth control and blew up I just couldn’t stop gaining weight then I jus got real depressed but one day I was like I have to lose some weight so I started fasting working out a lot tons of cardio constantly fasting and experimenting with different diet plans and steady exercising

HOW TO BUILD A TONE BODY

The magic formula for losing fat & building a toned body is to:

1. Eat in a moderate calorie deficit.
2. Eat enough protein and lots of whole foods.

HOW TO BUILD A TONE BODY

The magic formula for losing fat & building a toned body is to:

1. Eat in a moderate calorie deficit.
2. Eat enough protein and lots of whole foods.
2. Lift weights to build strength & muscle.
