But once I sacrificed my out to eat money and started prepping my meals, I actually saved a lot. Instead of using fresh fruits that go bad pretty quickly (since I live alone) I opt for frozen fruits and veggies instead. What ways are you saving towards your grocery and food bill? Comment below!

I know it’s hard. But it won’t get easier skipping meals! You need to have a better relationship with food. That’s why I believe in eating healthier and eating foods I actually enjoy. Meals are can be prepared in under a hour and prepped ahead of time. Set realistic meal schedules for your life and eat more often with portable foods and meal prep essentials. What do you think? Are you going to eat more often this week?

Make sure you take plenty of progress photos! I was about 140 here. This is when I pretty much reached my weight gain goal and focused more on toning and building muscle. See the thing is.. goals don’t ever run out and they always get bigger. But the first thing you have to do is start small. Before you become a gym rat, you have to get your diet in order. When you struggle to consume enough calories, you won’t have any extra to burn in the gym and ultimately will continue to lose more weight! Are you working out or working on your diet?

You hear about olive oil and coconut oil, but my favorite to cook with is definitely avocado oil! Simple because it gives you a boost of calories without adding a whole lot of ingredients to your dish. It’s a sneaky way to get in more calories without eating more food. I even add this to my smoothies depending on the flavor! Now like all good healthy fats, use this in moderation. Healthy fats shouldn’t be a high portion of your diet. Have you considered using avocado oil?

I like to make my own snacks sometimes 😍 So hear me out. This is granola mixed with non fat yogurt, natural peanut butter and a little organic honey and bananas. It’s everything I need in the afternoon to keep me going. Carbs carbs and more carbs. Plus a pack of protein. A perfect weight gain snack! Need more ideas? I have a 100 snack list for healthy weight gain coming soon. 🤪

Moira Mac’s Shredded Chicken - Woolworths - 150g (26g Protein).
4 egg whites - 14.4g protein.
2 whole eggs - 12.7g protein.
Smokey BBQ bacon - 8g protein.

Total protein: 61.1g 💪. Having a diet high in protein has recently helped me retain more lean muscle mass, while losing body fat at the same time!

But even more so - managing and reducing sugar cravings and sticking to my diet better.

A diet rich in protein can really be a game changer 🚀

You probably skipped meals, felt nauseous or didn’t eat at all! When you’re stressed, you may engage in different behaviors than usual, like working through lunch or staying up late to meet an important deadline. These disruptions can worsen your body’s internal reaction to stress. .

Who else need healthy snack ideas for weight gain? 😍😍 What makes this a great snack? It has plenty of protein and 120 calories for this little snack. Now imagine if you added some natural peanut butter with this? .

Exactly 3 weeks since my last show & I feeling pretty good. Met with both of my coaches to compare North Platte /Omaha measurements & things are moving along nicely. There shouldn’t be any jumps in weight gain, body fat etc. Since the show I’ve gained roughly 3lbs with an almost 2 lb muscle gain & fat gain as well. Trying to keep my abdominals relatively cut while gaining muscle everywhere else. Week by week I’ll be reintroducing carbs/more calories & increasing my weights in the gym, super excited about that!
I’ve been asked about my next show day & although I know I’m going to compete in 2020, I’m going to enjoy all these gains & lifting heavy & being with my family & finally kind of being normal okay byeeeeee *Hops on gain train* #ChooChoo #IpePro #OffSeason #gaintrain #dowork #trainhard #gymbunny #happygirl #bikinigirls #eatyofood #instagains #instagym #instalove #instagram

But make no mistake - I’m not under the illusion that intermittent fasting (or any other way of eating for that matter) can work for everyone.

Different diets have different pros & cons. There isn’t one that’s “better” than all the rest, because it will always come down to each individual.

Getting enough protein, healthy fats, & micronutrients will always be essential, but HOW you get them is ultimately up to you (with maybe some guidance from a coach 🙋🏻‍♂️)
