SAVE this HIIT ROUTINE to help SHRED that extra weight FASTER! ⬇️

Decided to change it up and throw in some HIIT cardio routine instead of plain boring treadmill or elliptical into my workouts. .
HIIT involves short bursts of intense exercise alternated with low-intensity recovery periods. Despite how short the workout is, it can produce health benefits similar to twice as much moderate-intensity exercise
.
Routine:
1) Burpee
2) Pushup
3) Kicksits
5) Pushup
Repeat for 30 secs, rest for 1 min and repeat for 3-5 sets

▪️Good mornings on Hack Squat
Yep 👍🏻 hamstrings on fiyah! 🔥 This stretching/lengthening of the hamstrings is phenomenal 🥵. I am staying in the lengthening phase for a couple seconds before raising up (not all the way) and then immediately lowering back into the stretch. Try tilting your tailbone up towards the ceiling for an even greater ham stretch. My glutes also kick in a little as well 🤫😬
▪️Plate Holding Sissy Squats
I am holding a plate to work my quads (glutes as well). If you are uncomfortable you can also place a mat across the top of your feet and under the foot pad for more cushion.
▪️Adductor Machine
Try doing this while lifting your pelvic floor (kegel🤭). I begin sitting upright and then lean back onto the back rest.
▪️Hamstring Curl Machine
I perform this by curling both feet together and then alternating legs when lengthening the hamstring. Do this slowly and mindfully! Finish with curling both legs together.

Monday-Friday have begin (w/ a smile) @4:15am hiit cardio on the menu for the last 3 weeks. 1 mile on the dreadmill then 20 minutes on the elliptical afterwards another 20 minutes on the stair stepper. Then I’m back to the gym after my 8-5 long work day to get straight training done. Ran 1.01 miles with Nike⁠ Run Club I’m so tried although I have a goal in mind 4 weeks out baby!! I hope you all had an amazing week and will have an even better weekend! Here is a HIIT workout to jumpstart this weekend the right way😎 HIIT circuits are my ultimate favourite cardio exercise!! This one was extremely powerful and left me feeling super strong inside and out! Isn't that what we want!? Let's do this. YOU GOT THIS💪(ps I am so sorry I am the worst at staying in frame😂😂I actually had one more excersize in this circuit but I had to cut it out because I was barely in frame😂, so when I go to the gym I will post on my story the bonus HIIT move that got left out in case you wanted a little extra fire🔥) Lastly, the 4th exercise in this video is definitely one of my new favorites and YOU MUST TRY!! I randomly just did it when I was goofing around trying to make a circuit for my fit buddies and I felt like I found something magical😂

The workout:
•Box Rockers ×20
•High box Knee + lunge complex ×8 each leg
•Plank raise +tuck ×12
•Hip locks?😂(lol no idea what to name this one, it's MY FAV) ×12 each side •4 plank jacks +4 chaturanga push ups(fail on my end of the yoga finesse😂, please do better than me, they turned into knee pushups🤦‍♀️it's a yoga push up for triceps that is amazing when done correctly, I would reccomend watching a video on them and forget my demo🙏) #nojudgement 👌

Les coups de pieds et le travail au sac demandent une montée en puissance spécifique afin de ne pas se blesser. 👉🏻 Je démarre par des automassages des hanches avec balle et mini ball. Ils vont permettre de lever certaines tensions profondes autour des nombreux petits muscles profonds. 👉🏻 J’enchaine avec des MAC ( Mobilisation Articulaire Controlée) spécifiques aux hanches. Elles vont réactiver certains muscles amnésiques de leur fonction à cause de l’excès de position assise tout en augmentant la mobilité dynamique nécessaire au travail des coups de pieds. 👉🏻 J’intègre ensuite ce genre de mouvement spécifique qui me permet de travailler simultanément sur l’échauffement spécifique + mobilité spécifique + placements pied et corps spécifiques. 👉🏻👍🏻 Durant les fentes tous les mouvements du corps et du torse ont une importance à la fois sur la mobilité et le gainage dynamique hanche-tronc. 👉🏻 Ensuite j’enchaine mon travail à pleine vitesse et pleine puissance. 👉🏻 N’oubliez pas d’achever ce type d’entrainement encore par des automassages, des MAC et des décompressions articulaires avec bandes élastiques. Back at it with another HIIT WORKOUT because the end of summer/fall is prime HIIT season in my opinion because it’s finally cooling off and I sweat like it’s my job 😅⠀

I did this workout on some bleachers, but all you need is a little ledge or bench and you’re all set 🙌🏼⠀

Muito se sabe do tanto que fazer treino intervalado de alta intensidade (HIIT) é bom. Muito se sabe que a ingestão de bebidas alcoolicas é ruim. Então, pesquisadores espanhóis resolveram verificar como seria misturar os dois! O estudo durou 10 semanas, com o treino realizado duas vezes por semana. Os participantes eram 72 jovens que foram divididos em 4 grupos: ingestão ou não de álcool com realização ou não de HIIT. Os grupos que ingeriam álcool ainda eram divididos entre os que recebiam cerveja ou vodca misturada com água com gás! Os homens do estudo recebiam 330ml de cerveja no almoço e na janta e as mulheres recebiam 330ml na janta, os que ingeriam vodca o faziam em doses para equilibrar a mesma quantidade de álcool fornecida pela cerveja. Entre os que não bebiam álcool era dada cerveja sem álcool ou água com gás. As sessões de HIIT duravam de 45-60min com um circuito envolvendo exercício com peso corporal realizados na intensidade acima de 8, numa escala de 0 a 10. .
Agora vem a parte maluca! Ao final, todo mundo ganhou massa magra e perdeu gordura, independente de beber cerveja, vodca, água ou cerveja sem álcool. Ou seja, um modelo simples de HIIT feito por duas vezes por semana ajuda a perder gordura, ganhar massa magra e tomar umas todo dia não prejudica os resultados. Sextooouuu

Mas pera lá, vamos falar sério! Isso é um recorte no tempo e o estudo não pode negar os prejuízos de longo prazo da ingestão de álcool, não apenas na saúde, mas em diversos outros fatores como risco de acidentes, problemas comportamentais e etc. É claro que existem possibilidade de se fazer ingestão alcoolica minimizando danos, mas é importante que se saiba que há muitos riscos envolvidos. Por que eu trouxe esse estudo? Para mostrar que existem várias coisas, como álcool, jejum e hormônios que podem aparentar inofensivas no primeiro momento, mas selecionar evidências para justificar seu uso generalizado é irresponsabilidade. I’ve never been a big fan of traditional, steady state cardio. 🤷🏻‍♂️ You know, running for 45-60 minutes at a steady pace on the treadmill, elliptical, etc.⠀

The time spent compared to the actual results never really seemed like a worthy investment of time. And often, it’s quite boring and/or monotonous (meaning, you don’t want to do it). ❌⠀
-⠀
That said, some forms of cardio DO have their place in your exercise program. ✅⠀
-⠀
My preference is interval training, which is essentially alternating 🔄 between higher and lower intensity intervals of cardio. This is often referred to as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).⠀
-⠀
As an example, 30 seconds running on the treadmill followed by 60 seconds walking for 20 total minutes. Or, 30 seconds sprint on the stationary bike followed by 60 seconds cruising for 30 total minutes.⠀
-⠀
Each of these scenarios is preferred to just ‘running for fat loss’ because you’ll burn 🔥 the same amount of calories as you would during steady state cardio in 1/3 or 1/2 the time!⠀

Not only that, but you will retain more muscle mass 💪🏼 when in a calorie deficit doing HIIT — which is very important for body composition, strength, performance, metabolism efficiency and overall health.⠀

👉 Please keep in mind that while HIIT will help you burn more calories in less time — and ultimately help you lose more body fat — you still must be in a calorie deficit (eating fewer calories than your body burns) to see the scale drop over time. There’s no way around that! 🤷🏻‍♂️⠀

My lower back has been super tight this week so I’ve been relegated to performing my strength training movements in the chair. Here’s a few moves I got into this morning.

S/n: it’s not just the athletes that experience pain, most ppl over the age of 30 lol, are exercising, living with some type of injury. The goal is to find work arounds that still allow you to progress despite your circumstances. Since my back injury last year I’ve never been able to operate at even 80%...and so what! We can not fall to our current shortcomings, every day you wake up, find a way to get ish done no matter what. #workaroundit #youvestillgotyourarmsandlegs #letsmove #iwillimprove

LISTENING TO YOUR BODY⠀

Recovery is just as important as exercising, without recovery you sacrifice progress.⠀

A common question I get asked is “should I train when I am sore” or “what about rest days.” EACH PERSON knows your own body better than any other person, so when deciding what is best, you need to evaluate the level of soreness, fatigue AND how your body is functioning through movements.⠀

If my bodies quite sore, or I am just fatigue to say the least, no doubt I will take an active rest day and do a “recovery session” or a big LISS. I don’t talk about it often because I manage it, but I do have autoimmune thyroiditis which led to hypothyroidism, so I no doubt 100% listen to my body so I can keep on, keeping on 👊🏽 If I wake up one day with the intent of a big workout but I’m just not up to it, that is OKAY. So please, take rest when you need to... make it a stretching day, go for a long walk, etc.⠀

Another MK tip: plan your week of workouts ahead and INCORPORATE active rest days into the week! Set yourself up for success!⠀

Although most people try and get most of their workouts done in the gym, life happens. We have deadlines, responsibilities, and other things that may not give us enough time to hit the gym. But that doesn't mean you still can't get a workout in!

NO EQUIPMENT: this is a great full body workout that does not require any equipment! Repeat the workout 2 to 3 times, and remember to stretch and cool down prior to and after the circuits.

SOME EQUIPMENT: A little more challenging in terms of load, but an incredible workout nonetheless. You will need some basic equipment like dumbbells and a functional staircase. Repeat this circuit twice, and again remember to warm up(before) and cool down(after) the circuits.
