The people Jesus fed followed him across the lake. When they found him, they start asking with winks and nods "Hey, we're starting to get kinda hungry again. How about another miracle meal?" Jesus performed miracles to demonstrate the authority of what he taught. Most of this crowd missed the point. 
They wanted to be fed. They wanted to see more "tricks."
And Jesus calls them out on it.

Sometime we need to be called out too. Sometimes we get caught "being a Christian" for the "perks." Take time this week to pursue Jesus because he is your Savior who values you more than anything.

I never dreamed I would be here.

Up until now, I was struggling really bad. I was tired all the time, I had excruciating pain in my feet that affected me all day, everyday. I was depressed, unhappy with myself, self-conscious, insecure, and always wanting to hide. All this caused me to be a sideline mom that I never wanted to be. I was stuck in a funk, full of excuses and ready to just throw in the towel and accept that that’s who I was, and how it’s going to be. 
Until inspiration and hope presented itself to me. In the form of a friend, who was sharing her healthy lifestyle journey with impressive success.
It worked for her, but was it for me?... -Yes!! Was it too good to be true?... -No!!
I watched her for a while before I decided, I had to try whatever it was that she was doing. I owed it to myself to see if I could attain that joy, happiness, and freedom. 
5 months into my new life I am happier, healthier, more active, more confident, comfortable and secure than I can ever remember being in my life. 
I am thankful for reaching out when I did. I am thankful for believing in the process and giving it my all. I am forever grateful for my coach and for this program. For my family supporting me, and to myself for giving me another chance.

**3 Tips to stay in shape over the Holidays** The Summer holidays are almost here and are certainly one of the toughest times of the year for getting yourself in shape.

The kids are off so you are spending more money on filling the fridge with sweet treats,

You have no time to attend the Gym,

you might have a holiday booked,

Either way it can be a challenge over the next 6 weeks. I have a child myself, I get it... So here is a few tips for you to keep yourself as healthy and happy as possible over the summer holidays.

1. Plan your meals out 🍱

This one is a struggle I know, but the key to avoiding indulging in all them unwanted calories is to plan ahead. Tupperware and meal prep on a Sunday evening is a sure way to keep on to of your nutrition and keeping yourself away from them cravings.

2. Stay Active 🏃‍♀️ Take advantage of the holidays and go out for some family time. Whether it be out for walks or even something more active like a trip to a theme park, avoiding spending every day (all day) at home is absolutely crucial if you want to stay in shape over the holidays!

3. Try some home workouts 💪

Got up a little early before the kids gets up? why not clear some space in the living-room, grab a couple of light dumbbells and try doing a little home workout.

this can be 15-30 mins and start your day off with a burn! drop me a message if you want more info on this one as I have just the workout routines for you!

So there it is, my 3 tips. Not a lot I know, but realistically that is all you need to do to stay in top of your progress over the summer holidays.

Weekends are such a struggle for me..tell me I’m not alone!! It’s my fav time of the week, because I love ⁣that I don’t have to wake up via the alarm⏰... ⁣

I can plan as many or as little things as I feel like doing. There’s no where to morning rush (aka work)... ⁣
⁣
My loves are all home with me or doing something they enjoy. Except Tonio when he has to work on Saturdays. 😕 #adulting⁣⁣

But..my nutrition can be a complete failure for me, especially during the summer when bbq’s, drinks, and living in the moment are a real and traditional practice especially for this #caligirl. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Routine is definitely something I need to remain on 🎯 with my plan, so having a group of women on the same journey helps tremendously!!! Just to know I’m not the only 1️⃣ that struggles with this and 2️⃣ have daily accountability. ⁣⁣

So, every Sunday even though I’ve enjoyed my weekend and all the festivities..I’m always looking forward to getting back to my schedule. 📅 ⁣⁣

“CHANGE” the most intimidating statement...Do you have the courage to step outside of your comfort zone? 👣 .

Most people don’t and I was one of them!! I used to spend hours on YouTube watching all of these fitness guru’s enjoy their lives while eating a tub of Ben & Jerry’s saying “I’ll start tomorrow” .

Truth is I WAS NERVOUS to leave my “comfort zone” I was scared of going to the gym and not knowing what to do or have a sense of direction ♐️ . ⏭⏭ Flash forward to today, I now have a better sense of direction, a program to follow... I show up and I press play and do my DANG THING! I am not down 20lbs by changing my lifestyle!! (much better than hitting play on another YouTube video) 😉

Have you ever had a goal to reach before you went on that vacation you booked and felt like you would never reach it in time? .

I HAVE. I feel that as humans we often give up on ourselves way too easily! We shut ourselves out when we give ourselves a certain date by which we have to “look good” by. We think that because we gave ourselves a time stamp, it might put a little more pressure on us to eat more healthier or go to the gym more often, BUT Sometimes it does the exact opposite! Sometimes that added pressure just gives us more anxiety to get things done by a certain date and when we skip a work out or have a cheat meal, we are way too hard on ourselves and may just say “FUCK IT” .

What I’m saying is, WHY do we have to wait for a vacation to make us want to be a healthier and better version of ourselves? . 
Why can’t we decide to just make this a lifestyle change?!?! To make this a “never-ending” goal but a goal to get closer and closer to. A LOT of people stop their fitness journey and don’t keep up with their nutrition once they get back from that vacation or that thing they worked so hard for! WHY are we stopping ourselves after our “time-stamp” is over?! .

✖️Viewing yourself in a negative manner will ONLY stunt your ability to hit your goal of losing 20 lbs and gaining the self-confidence you deserve. You can’t hate yourself skinny!

INSTEAD, i challenge you to start believing in yourself. Start loving yourself and speaking highly of yourself. 🙌 push those negative thoughts away as soon as they start creeping in, and you’ll notice that they won’t pop up as often over time!

👉A good practice to implement is to start writing down things you love about yourself — big and small. Do this daily and i promise you’ll start believing in yourself and realizing just how powerful you are!

I gave up.

Not in the way you realize it. Not in the way you just throw in the towel. I gave up on myself and didn’t even know when. Do we really realize what exact moment we gained weight or do we just look back at a series of shitty events that led us there?

It was comfortable.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s easy to eat fast food. Drink beers. Get fried foods at restaurants. Eat what we want when we want. It’s comfort. It was all I knew how to do. I’d rather watch a whole series of gossip girl than go to the gym or do any exercise because how the f&*# do you even start doing that?

We like things easy.
It was easy to sit in this same routine day in and day out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s not easy is this….

😣Waking up in the middle of the night sleeping on your side feeling your belly hang over the shorts that once fit you good.
😣Putting a shirt on that you haven’t worn in months and it squeezes the living $hit out of you and shows off your love handles while you franticly try to get unstuck to throw it off of you
😣Redoing pictures 2134 times because you’re pissed off at your double chin, your shirt being too tight on your belly or your bra pushing too close on your back to show the “back fat”
😣Crying and having a total breakdown when you realize that the fact is… you’ve gained weight, your confidence has been thrown down the drain, your sexual desire is lacking, and your moody way more than normal.

Here’s the truth - it’s 100% possible to lose weight and feel amazing while still enjoying wine and chocolate. And honestly, it’s SO important to enjoy the weight-loss journey, no just the destination...and the journey should include your favorite food!

✖️The problem begins when you start using food as comfort to help you feel better or alleviate stress. No matter how hard you try, food will NOT fix your problems.

Learning how to process and deal with your stress and emotions WITHOUT using food...now THAT’S how you conquer emotional eating! 💪

At the end of the day, what’s so important is that you eat food when YOU want it, as opposed to eating it out of comfort.

“Move more and eat less” is what people told me.

Hold on... that’s it? Drop my calories and run for an hour a day? But I hate running and I’m always hungry.

😣 Uncomfortable as fuck to even wear jeans
😣 No idea what foods to eat to lose weight

A mindset secret to weight loss success! 💃🏼

When you eat, stop multi-tasking and SOLELY focus on eating, and eating slowlyyyy.
.
🍪Have you ever inhaled a bag of chips or a sleeve of cookies, only to realize that you don’t reallllly remember even eating them? Even if you were stuffed, it probably wasn’t long before you were craving something again, right?
.
That’s because mindlessly eating and speed-eating is a lot like speed-reading 🤓. Ya know, when you read too fast, you don’t even remember what you read, and you have to go back and re-read? The same thing happens when you speed-eat!
.
Your body doesn’t register that you ate, and you don’t get the satisfaction from it, making you want to eat more.
.
👉With that being said, my challenge for you is to push everything else aside, and focus on eating. Savor it. Enjoy it. Eat it slowly!
.
🥑Overeating is less likely to occur because:
1. Eating slowly gives your satiety hormone (leptin) the chance to kick in
2. Your tastebuds will be satisfied more quickly
3. You’ll enjoy your meals more since you’ll actually remember what you ate!
.
