If you are what you eat, I am - without any doubt- a noodle. What are you??? •

I’m having one of those days where I really want to eat but I don’t feel like cooking any elaborate meals. This is perfect for that because it requires just two pots/pans and it’s delish!! It’s also budget friendly. All ingredients can come from TJs. And you prob have enough of the ingredients to make it at home. •

Instructions: cut up one yellow squash, about 3 cups broccoli and sauté on about 2 tbs hot oil. Add garlic and salt. Sauté for 5 mins and add a small can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed). Add Trader Joe’s arrabiatta sauce. Add about 1/4 cup of veggie broth. Let simmer. Cook pasta (I used @eatbanza ). Mix together and add more sauce if you need. And enjoy!! It’s that easy !!!!

Send noods 🍝 Garlic honey sesame broccoli on a bed of rice noodles w/ sriracha cashew ginger sauce at that 🌞 Seriously easy and an under 30 minute meal! For the broccoli I fried it off in some sesame oil and then once cooked through a bit I added the honey garlic sauce to it: 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp tamari, and 1 minced clove of garlic. Topped it on some rice noodles with edamame and drizzled the sauce over. For the sauce: 1 Tbsp cashew butter, 1 Tbsp sriracha, 1 Tbsp tamari, 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, 2 Tbsp water. Super easy and so good 💆🏻‍♀️

Fresh veggies and fruits galore. Although I do feel like my fridge is on repeat with the same items because I just can’t bring myself to curb away from my pregnancy cravings to make new/different meals.

I did end up buying a few produce items in plastic (eye the arugula) I’m still waiting for local arugula to come in but until then I like to buy this BC local arugula once in awhile that isn’t sprayed with pesticides!(yay)

My husband/daughter also eat eggs, eye the huge tray. I buy them from an SPCA certified organic egg farm down the road from our farm!

And our hemp milk is going quick, my daughter loves it 10x more than almond milk which is a huge win 🙌🏻

I decided to make something for lunch using tuna... 1. Because it’s #zerosmartpoints and 2. Because our food supply is still limited due to traveling so much 🤷‍♀️ I was going to make a tuna salad sandwich but decided to think of how I could make a lunch without using ANY points (because I want to try a new brewery later... I’m all about that #balance 😉). Here’s how I made this ZeroSmartPoints lunch ➡️ Mixed up canned tuna (in water, drained), shredded zucchini, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, dill dip seasoning, Dijon mustard, chopped pickle + 0% Greek yogurt. Formed into patties and cooked in a pan with olive oil spray. Served on a bed of garden lettuce with some extra yogurt and dill dip seasoning mixed up! 😋 ‼️ Disclaimer- I would have normally used less Greek yogurt and a couple eggs but when I went to make this, I realized we were out of eggs 🤦‍♀️ so these were more crumbly than I would have liked! #wwlunch .

Anyone else LOVING the new YL deodorants?!🙋🏼‍♀️ They are working so well for me!

Something I’ve noticed about oil-based deodorants though is that they are really hard to wash off in the shower! The oil doesn’t come off and then it clogs my razor. I shared about this in my stories today and from the amount of messages I’ve gotten, you all have struggled with this too!

Today I found the solution! Use the satin mint facial scrub in your armpits before washing with soap and it all comes off just fine!

It will probably take a while until I'm more skilled in food photography. Until then, enjoy my amazing attempts at trying to make my food look as delicious as it tastes.
I was hit with the urge to bake again - and what better way to satisfy my craving with some apple-raspberry crumble!
For this baking dish, I used quite a lot - the whole dish will last for three meals. At least. (I'm not eating this all alone, my brother always eats a third of the dish whenever I'm baking)

To make this crumble, simply:
1. Peel about 5 big apples (preferably Granny Smith) and stack into a oiled/buttered baking dish.
2. Top with a good two or three handfuls of frozen raspberries, drizzle with the juice of one lemon.
3. For the crumbles, melt up 100g vegan butter.
4. Add in 100g of brown sugar and one packet of vanilla sugar. 
5. Add in one heaping tbsp of hemp meal, four tbsps of all-purpose flour, two tbsps of oats and one tbsp of flax seeds. 
6. Mix and knead until it forms a crumbly dough - a cookie dough that is more on the drier side.
7. Add the entire bowl of topping over the apples and raspberries.
8. Place into the preheated, 200° celsius oven and bake for about 30 minutes. (I like to take it out after 28, but your oven might work different so just see what works for you.)
9. Let cool for a bit and dig in. Tastes both cold and warm!

We have a raised bed garden where we're growing tomatoes, okra, and peppers, but we've also had the pleasure of enjoying homegrown veggies from several coworkers, friends, and clients. I love that about summer in the South. ⁠⠀

And if you’re capable of making that good meal, you’re capable of making a little extra so you have lunch for the next day.

Preparation is the key to success, if you don’t prep you’re just setting yourself up for failure.

I used to be the person who would just go to cvs on my lunch and grabbed what ever I wanted to much on and it almost always included a family size bag of peanut butter M&Ms. And I would eat like the WHOLE bag plus whatever else I got. Y’all that bag of M&Ms was like 1600 calories alone.

melt the cheese onto your tacos, like a quesadilla, before loading them up for a mind blowing experience. 
now, i know what you’re thinking, this concept is not new. but, i just discovered it so i’m here to reinforce that you must try it and offer a homemade, healthy version 🌮

how to:

🇺🇸Who else is a fan of pasta salads?🥗I love making them, especially during the summer months because they’re so quick and I can use any veggies I have on hand! This ROASTED VEGGIE & SHRIMP PASTA SALAD🥙is one of my new favorites, it’s packed with roasted zucchini🥒 and cherry tomatoes🍅, corn🌽, arugula🌿, pan seared shrimp 🍤 and whole-wheat pasta🥟 and it’s all coated honey - lemon dressing🍶So delicious!😋

Here’s the recipe (2 servings): boil 100g of whole-wheat pasta. In a meantime, in a big skillet, put 2 tbsp olive oil, add 1 chopped garlic, 1 chopped medium zucchini and 10 cherry tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and cook for about 3 minutes. The zucchini should remain crunchy. Transfer into a bowl. In the same skillet, add a little bit more oil, then add about 10 peeled shrimps and 1 crushed garlic. Season with salt and pepper and some hot sauce. Roast until the shrimps are cooked inside. Transfer into the bowl with veggies, add 1/3 cup corn, cooled pasta and coat with the dressing (6 tbsp olive oil + 2 tbsp lemon juice + 1 tbsp honey + salt and pepper). Serve on a big bed of arugula or any favorite leaves. Enjoy!😊

Happy Monday!! You know those weekends when you are spending time with people you love and hours and and hours seems to pass without even realizing?! That was this weekend for us. 🥰 I roamed sunflower fields with my gal pal, had a couples game night, & and allllll day beach day yesterday for Danny’s birthday! It was such a good weekend that last night I had to remind myself a new week is starting so I need to get organized!😅This week’s going to be a good one! Send noods 🍝 Garlic honey sesame broccoli on a bed of rice noodles w/ sriracha cashew ginger sauce at that 🌞 Seriously easy and an under 30 minute meal! For the broccoli I fried it off in some sesame oil and then once cooked through a bit I added the honey garlic sauce to it: 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp tamari, and 1 minced clove of garlic. Topped it on some rice noodles with edamame and drizzled the sauce over. For the sauce: 1 Tbsp cashew butter, 1 Tbsp sriracha, 1 Tbsp tamari, 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, 2 Tbsp water. Super easy and so good 💆🏻‍♀️

Tamago means egg in Japanese and yaki means grill (for example takoyaki/grilled octopus balls or yakisoba/soba noodles cooked on a hot grill).
