as you guys know, i’ve been developing recipes for this instagram account for over a year now. cooking has been my passion for quite a while, but i can’t say it has always been easy. there are multiple recipes that don’t turn out up to my expectations and i spend a large amount of time looking for the perfect recipes, as well as creative dishes i can personalise.⠀

Blueberry Toast w/ Eggs 😍

I served this with almond milk! So tasty! The total protein macro for the whole meal was 24 grams, woo! Enough to build some strip muscles! 
I was inspired by @burgersandbalance_ to make this recipe! They have a very similar post on their feed, but I have changed it up a bit!

#dEATS 
Toast:
•toast 1 slice of @foodforlifebaking Ezekiel bread
•lather 1 tbsp @jifbrand creamy peanut butter on top
•sprinkle 1/4 cup blueberries on top
•add a dash of cinnamon overtop!
•OPTIONAL: add a pinch of cocao nibs (I forgot to do this, oops!)
•TIP: if you use unsweet peanut butter, use more blueberries or add a drizzle of honey

Eggs:
•spray a pan with olive oil and set it on medium high
•whisk 2 eggs together and pour into the pan when it’s hot
•add 1 cup spinach and 1 chopped tomato
•sprinkle with salt and pepper
•TIP: add your favorite omelet toppings to spice up the egg! Cheese, mushrooms, peppers, you name it! 
Total calories (including 1.5 cups unsweet almond milk @silk ): 428

My son actually chose this breakfast all on his own - and it was a much more nutritious one than I was going to go with. I was going to give him waffles and fruit but he asked for bread with “nuh-buh”, “ahp”, “theeze”, and reached for a sweet potato that was on the counter. I added some strawberries to the bread, coconut oil and cinnamon to the sweet potato.

Breakfast: 
Ezekiel bread toasted with peanut butter and strawberries
Apples and cheese
Sweet potato with coconut oil and cinnamon.

My love for smoothiebowls are rediculous 🌸😄🙌🏻 For the first time in forever I feel like I’m giving my body the nutrients it needs. In many ways this past year has been the most challenging so far in my life. And for months I felt defeated. But at the same time that exact feeling was what sparked the beginning of this journey for me. I needed this experience to realize that I had to invest in myself to be able to grow. And it’s the most amazing feeling to know that I’m on a more constructive and positive path 🙏🏻 Hope you’re taking care of your mental and physical health! went to @soulcycle today & imma feeling like a new person! if you haven’t tried it yet, i definitely think it’s worth the investment since it’s seriously unlike ANY other workout i’ve seen❤️. you got all da good vibes, supa drippy sweat, & even pumpin music🎧!! this was only my second ride so i was off beat quite a bit of times & looked like i was humping the bike but I HAD FUN!! 😍 on anotha better note, it’s baby friyay today so just make the most of out it today & before you know it, you’ll wake up to an amaze friyay😄 try somethin new & you might just find that it lights yo SOUL on fiya 🔥

Vegan.DIY: Coconut chia pudding.

Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp chia seeds.
- 6 Tbsp luke-warm water.
- 1 cup full fat coconut milk.
- 1/2 cup coconut yogurt.
- 1.5 Tbsp agave nectar - or sweetener of your choice.
- 2 Tsp pink pitaya powder.

Method:
- in a bowl, mix chia seeds with water; let sit for 1-2 minutes or until chia seeds have started to swell up.
- add remaining ingredients; whisk to combine; let set for 2-3 minutes.
- enjoy 😊.

Found a new mid-size muffin tin at a rummage sale last week so naturally I had to test them out 👏  I chocolafied (not a word but it should be) @thenakdkitchen banana tahini muffins and wowza I need to make these again already cause they won’t last long 🤤 this is my favorite muffin recipe of all time and the addition of chocolate has me drooling! I’ll leave Emma’s recipe  below with my chocolate add in! the recipe below! Have a good Wednesday! ✨

Chocolate Banana Tahini Muffins (@thenakdkitchen)
3 bananas (mashed) 
1/3 cup tahini 
3 tbsp maple syrup 
1/3 cup almond milk
1 tsp vanilla 
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup melted coconut oil 
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tbsp cacao powder 
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt 
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips 
1-2 Tbsp sesame seeds for topping

Preheat the oven to 350 and use coconut oil to grease the muffin tin. Combine the wet ingredients. Fold in the dry ingredients. Evenly divide the batter in the muffin tin, sprinkle with sesame seeds + a few more chocolate chips. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool + then prepare your mouth for the best muffin EVER 🧁
