1st time deadlifting on a power rack with out my trainer lol i was scared but i didn’t know how to put the weight thingys on the pole because my trainer usually does it for me lol but i did it hahaha and got 3 sets of 10 in so yay🙂🏋🏻‍♀️

Push Day Motivation 🔥⁣

Intense workout w/ the boys 🤯@waddell_fitness
You may not be able to tell because of the music but I like to workout with a lot of emotion and passion, and if you like to train with a friend make sure they support you and scream in your face like you see when I’m benching 😂 you want to train with people that want to see you get better and people that hype you up to hit your sets. I’ve noticed that the more emotional and intense my workouts have been lately my strength is starting to explode again which is what I need. I remember benching 175 for 1 rep for the first time around a year ago, and now I’m doing it for sets of 8, and it might not be an insane number but everybody starts somewhere and as long as your improving it doesn’t matter the weight. If you really care about this stuff and want to get bigger and stronger you gotta have intensity and passion every day you hit the gym. Mindset is key 🔑

SOOOOOO happy w/ my Quads/Abductors/Adductors sesh tonight!!💪🏻😈
I upped the weight on a lot of my moves and did my workout backwards tonight, starting with squats and super setting banded front-squats. I actually loved how this workout went when I started with my compound lifts first. I had so much more energy and I was able to lift twice as much than when I end with compounds. & of course I got so much motivation out of this, and was actually able to PR on almost every move because I had so much more confidence and mental strength. I found that I was able to maintain great mind-to-muscle connection and kept good power through each rep!!😁

A couple of super awesome tips I found to work are:
-keep your phone off or at a good distance that you won’t be distracted by it
-switch up your lifting playlist to maintain new motivation and energy & crank your music to get into the groove
- & I personally shake my body out and jump around, literally, when I’m feeling like I’m losing energy or motivation. This helps me get that energy and focus back up

Also, a really good tip I got from @hannaoeberg was to wear all black and bring a sweatshirt or longer shirt when you are trying to hit a PR or trying new moves. Black is typically a “safe” color, meaning we feel more confident because we don’t stand out, and feel like others aren’t watching us because we blend in w/ the other athletes in the weight room. I typically tie a sweatshirt around my waist when doing squats or wear my hood up, and it actually really helps. It sounds like a strange concept, but trust me, it truly does boost your confidence and makes you feel like you have more freedom to do whatever because you don’t feel like you’re attracting attention from anyone. Also for us girls, wearing your hood up prevents from any pulling on your hair from the barbell😅

🔑 An easy way to do this is to elevate the foot in some way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Cheers to the end of fall quarter!! Getting stronger day by day and I’m not letting anyone get in the way of that 😈
*Mind muscle connection is super important!! (Especially for the lat pulldown) Extend your arms to get a full range of motion and really squeeze your lats at the end. Focusing on form and engaging the right muscles is super beneficial for growth.

things I am happy about today ✨⁣

• I have FINALLY finished working my way through the course content for my level 2 fitness instructors course, now it's onto revision! one step closer 🥰 ⁣

• I had a v successful PT session, I hadn't trained legs in a week because I'd been ill and today I managed 50kg squats (which doesn't sound like a lot but I've been scared of them for ages and literally never squat) ⁣

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for women empowerment and not settling for less than you deserve,

But if you continue going back to the same person and repeating the same mistakes knowing exactly what you’re walking into, that’s on you.

If you don’t want the heartbreak,
Don’t repeatedly walk into the same situation in hopes for a different outcome.

Know what’s good for you and don’t complain when you put yourself in a situation that’s not.
