Sometimes you have to match your shaker bottle with your top, your socks and the lockers 🙈 😆
Matching my socks with my top is a bit of a strange ritual that I have started doing, just because it helps me feel organised and that makes me feel good😝. I then had to match my shaker bottle just because I could.

I may be considered vain and people may think I worry too much about what I wear in the gym but I couldn't care less.  Finding an outfit that matches and that I feel good in can give me that confidence boost that I need to go in there and smash a workout. (As you know sometimes I do just throw anything on and hit the gym because I'm already feeling good about myself). 💪🏽
If you struggle with gym confidence find an outfit that makes you feel empowered and beautiful and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. There's nothing wrong with caring about how you look (I will draw the line at make up in the gym though.  Unless it's specifically designed for exercise use don't do it girls😕) 👍🏼

EMBRACING THE SUCK

Today was just an off day for me. It was literally an off-day from training (I had the day off from training lol) but at work I just felt tired and unmotivated all day
.

I like to think of these periods, in which we feel tired, shitty, or unmotivated, as “suck” periods. Suck periods can be a result of not getting enough sleep, not eating enough, being overworked, or from a myriad of other factors. Regardless of the cause of the “suck”, we all experience it from time to time in one aspect of life or another
.
.
We might experience the suck during a workout where we just feel off. We might feel it during a fatloss diet when we get hungry and crave a lot of treats. We will most likely feel the suck when we’re on line at the DMV. Or we might feel it if it’s 3:00pm and tired at work, waiting for 5pm
.
.
Regardless, the key is that EVERYONE EXPERIENCES THE SUCK from time to time. It’s just a natural part of the human experience
.
.
Where key lies, however, is LEANING INTO THE SUCK. Embrace it
.
.
If we can learn to embrace the suck when it comes, we’ll be in a better position to deal with many of life’s problems
.
.
Shitty workout? Embrace it as a sign that you may need a deload, or be aware that shitty workouts are completely normal to have from time to time
.
.
Craving a lot of sweets on a diet? That’s totally normal - and use it as an opportunity to practice moderation, as well as practicing being OK with a little bit of physical hunger here and there
.
.
On line at the DMV? Meditate. You can meditate anywhere - and being on line somewhere is a great opportunity to practice
.
.
3:00 pm at work, and feeling tired? Use it as an opportunity to practice self-discipline - do the work any way even if you don’t feel like it
.
.
When we embrace the suck, we become more resilient, more productive, and stronger
.
.
Life sucks whether we want it to or not. Might as well embrace it
.

Morning grind!!!! Today, be the badass girl you were too lazy to be yesterday!! Some advice I needed to take myself this morning!! Great morning at lifetime!! I did an awesome workout programmed by @allyvaethfit  and Behr got to go to his first ever swim lesson!!! He loved it! It got me up this morning, and I got my lift in finally 😩💕 I always feel better when I workout in the morning, or period for that matter!

Do we really need to take extra vitamin pills, if we eat a balanced and healthy diet? 🤷⠀

Vitamins on the whole can promote a healthy immune system, support bone health, keep your eyes from age related decline, promote growth & reproduction and even lower the chances of getting certain cancers. We all consume a different level of vitamins throughout the day based on our own consumption, so how do we know that taking set amount vitamin supplements are going to help us further?⠀
⠀
We don’t, unfortunately. Taking vitamin supplements seems like something that’s good for us however if your only source of vitamins is through supplementation then you’re not getting the overall benefits of a healthy balanced diet. You can’t just eat junk food and take vitamins to be healthy - it goes against all the science on the health benefits of a good diet. On the other hand if you consume a healthy diet and are also taking vitamin supplements, chances are they’re not doing anything worthwhile and are a waste of money. In fact, overconsumption of some vitamins has been linked to premature death and bad heart health.💀⠀

Focus on eating a consistent healthy diet over consistently taking vitamin supplements.⠀
⠀
There are some exceptions to this: ⠀
⠀
📌 Vitamin D, people who lack sun exposure due to their environment, career etc, people with dark-coloured skin or some older adults need supplementation of vitamin D. This doesn’t necessarily need to be tablets as some orange juices, dairy products and breakfast cereals contain extra vitamin D.⠀
⠀
📌 Vitamin B12, for adults over the age of 50, it’s advised to consume higher levels of this vitamin.⠀
⠀
📌 Folic Acid, pregnant women are encouraged to consume supplementation of folic acid which can reduce child birth defects in early development.⠀
⠀
With this in mind, try to improve your diet and focus on learning about foods which contain high vitamins and why it’s important to consume such foods. ⠀

Do we really need to take extra vitamin pills, if we eat a balanced and healthy diet? 🤷⠀

Vitamins on the whole can promote a healthy immune system, support bone health, keep your eyes from age related decline, promote growth & reproduction and even lower the chances of getting certain cancers. We all consume a different level of vitamins throughout the day based on our own consumption, so how do we know that taking set amount vitamin supplements are going to help us further?⠀

We don’t, unfortunately. Taking vitamin supplements seems like something that’s good for us however if your only source of vitamins is through supplementation then you’re not getting the overall benefits of a healthy balanced diet. You can’t just eat junk food and take vitamins to be healthy - it goes against all the science on the health benefits of a good diet. On the other hand if you consume a healthy diet and are also taking vitamin supplements, chances are they’re not doing anything worthwhile and are a waste of money. In fact, overconsumption of some vitamins has been linked to premature death and bad heart health.💀⠀

Focus on eating a consistent healthy diet over consistently taking vitamin supplements.⠀

There are some exceptions to this: ⠀

📌 Vitamin D, people who lack sun exposure due to their environment, career etc, people with dark-coloured skin or some older adults need supplementation of vitamin D. This doesn’t necessarily need to be tablets as some orange juices, dairy products and breakfast cereals contain extra vitamin D.⠀

📌 Vitamin B12, for adults over the age of 50, it’s advised to consume higher levels of this vitamin.⠀

📌 Folic Acid, pregnant women are encouraged to consume supplementation of folic acid which can reduce child birth defects in early development.⠀

With this in mind, try to improve your diet and focus on learning about foods which contain high vitamins and why it’s important to consume such foods. ⠀

I just knocked 1 minute 18 seconds off my 5k! wtf??? Had the treadmill speed set at 7.4kmph for that whole run bar the last 200m where I ramped it up to 9kmph. My poor wee legs were going like the clappers haha  wen for 6k tonight so I could bank the extra distance towards my 50 miles. I've got 20 miles still  to run before the end of August. Only some people will understand the frustration of being injured and of not being able to train. 
We are 9 weeks later and although my recovery time was initially planned to be 8 weeks, the doctors revised it last week to potentially 6 months. 🤯😩
I am trying to remain positive and I am setting myself short, mid and long term goals to look forward to.
