𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝘆𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁
There are many variations of pyramid methods - with this variation we started heavy and descended in weight for each rep range. The goal is to use the same load and beat the number of reps from the previous week #progressiveoverload. This way we will get stronger in every rep range while obtaining greater tension with heavier loading & metabolic stress from higher reps. Y’all the pump is real!

I used two of @bcstrengthofficial Glute benches - which helps to increase the hip range of motion (ROM). An alternative is that you can always place your front foot on a plate and have your back foot elevated on a bench. Focus on sinking as far down as you can for depth. I also like to start with my weaker side

𝗞𝗕 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀
To set up a powerful swing - I start with the KB in front of me, I sit my hips back into a hinge, and hike the KB back through my legs - this creates explosive momentum.
At the top of the kettlebell swing- you want full hip extension, knees locked, feet rooted into the ground, core tight, and glutes squeezed
I inhale when swinging down and as I explode at the top - I powerfully exhale

Barbell hip thrusts are great for developing glute, hamstring and lower back strength.
Key pointers:

Look to set your ankles directly under the line of your knees.
Set the bar on your hips and always have your head looking down your body.
Set the bottom of your shoulder blades into the edge of the box.
Place your hand on the bar to help maintain balance of the barbell.
Look fold at the hips and drive the bar up as high as you can. Get a brief hold at the top of the movement then fold the hips back in and repeat.

1. Landmine #Deadlifts: This #squat variation is a plus in situations where a client isn't able to load their spine. The angles closely mimic a #hipdominant squat. The band isn't included to just "make the lift harder": it's included to reverse the resistance profile and make it heavy in the stronger part of Leslie's range.
.
2. Band-Assisted Nordic Curls: This was actually our first movement. The #GHD is a great way to do assisted #bodyweight leg curls. We are trying to maintain as much #hipextension as possible here.
.
3. B-Stance Leg Press: Basic unilateral press done with slow tempo. The foot placement ensures that the lifter's hips stay square. It's grest on a leg press (as opposed to a step-up) later in lifts when a lifter is fatigued and balance is compromised.

Today on #teachmetuesday we’re going to look at the #GHD machine, or the #glute #hamstring developer. This machine, when use properly, will strengthen your entire posterior chain, which are your hamstrings, glute muscles and lower back. Find the height that’s right for you so that your thighs are on the mat and your back is hanging off the edge of the machine. Lower yourself down, and then slowly and with control, bring yourself up to slightly above parallel. Repeat as many times as desired. When this gets easy, add a 5#, 10#, 25#, plate in your arms against your chest. Use the resistance to make yourself stronger! Why you aren’t seeing progress?🧐
1️⃣ Frequency ⏰
Over training can prevent progress, it does not allow your body to recover correctly so make sure you take your rest days, but not too many!

2️⃣Sleep 💤
Sleep is the MOST important factor to progress! Not sleeping enough can hinder your progress as your body does not have time to recover! Sleeping for around 7-9 hours a night is ideal.

3️⃣ Nutrition 🍌🍎
Eat for your goals! If your goal is to gain muscle, you need to be eating in a calorie surplus (eating more than you burn). If your goal is weight loss, you need to be eating in a calorie deficit (eat less calories than you burn). Eating a balanced diet no matter what your goal is is super important!

4️⃣ Consistency 🔑
Your body won’t change overnight. You need to keep stay focused and patient to see the progress! Taking ‘before’ photos can help to see how far you have come!

5️⃣ Lift heavy💪🏻
To build muscle you need to be lifting heavy. Exercises like deadlifts, squats and leg press you can use to lift heavy!

6️⃣Progressive overload🙌🏻
Pushing yourself to increase the weight/add extra reps! No longer pushing yourself could put you to a halt! Challenge yourself to add an extra 5kg, even if you manage a few reps!

With anything in life, if you want it, you have to work for it! Trust me, with these cold winter nights it’s hard to find the motivation to train. As much as I love the gym, even I have to force myself to go after work and long commute home, but nothing good ever comes easy! Discipline, consistency and will power are key, cute gym wear also helps 😂. It’s just 1 hour out of your day and will make you feel so much better 💕

Nach meinem normalen Beintraining schnappe ich mir einfach einen Sandsack und laufe meine Bahnen auf und ab bis zum Versagen🔥Das sind eigentlich immer 3x25 Walking Lunges (pro Bein). Probiert es selbst aus & let it burn😊👍🏼
