Does anyone remember Pob's Programme on Channel 4 back in the 80's 🤔 (I'm giving away how old I am now 😂) It was a small wooden puppet in a stripey jumper who spat all over the TV screen??? Well that's my face in these clips 😂😂😂📺 Image of Pob 🤣🎥 I was not going to the gym tonight in that horrible torrential rain and thunderstorm ☔⛈️ but I managed to bribe myself into it with the promise of doing a few deads instead of my planned programme today, I'm not in prep so why not, it was nice to mix it up a small bit and heck what'd ya know... I'm still mediocrely strong 😂 excellent 💪 Got some cardio in too 👏 It was the nicest feeling getting absolutely drowned wet in the lashings of rain on the way home from the gym and getting straight into a hot shower and some fresh soft jammies after all the hard work too 🚿😊 Ahhhh... #4monthspostop Who the hell had a FLIP TIRES, BATTLE ROPES, BOSU PLANK WALKS, KB pulls(in an external rotation hold) and WEIGHTED DUMMY PUSH/PULL BACK CIRCUIT TODAY!?!?!? This girl! 🙌🙌🙌 This week I was introduced to dynamic exercises. Wednesday left me sore after medicine ball passes, catches and slams. Today, no soreness, or discomfort with these movements. I asked Rob about engaging in some other lifting aspects, he gave me the green light on using the SSB for squats, Reverse Hack Squat(these are all top loaded), he also said you can go back to doing what you were before surgery, just be mindful, be smart, play safe, and start out light. I then asked the million dollar question, "When can big girl start running!?" His reply, "anytime, BUT be aware of the reverb when your feet strike the ground." Still need to work on achieving 100% External Rotation, I'm at 90%. Abduction also, my fall on the stairs set me back a bit. Overall, he said I'm right where I need to be in terms of my rehab and recovery. Next Wedneday, I see my Ortho. She mentioned last follow up that she might release me from her care if everything was going in the right direction. ☝☝☝ Guess what @shiannmar!? We gonna start running again! Buckle up baby 🏃🏃🏃😂😂😂😈😈😈 💚💚💚 💡💡💡 I love you and the support you've been giving me through this time. A Positive mindset is everything ☝☝☝ it's needed to achieve forward progression!

Great time meeting @bitchcraft13x at @missinglinkcrossfit today! Lifting with just a solid strong chick was awesome. Got some squats in, went okay, still having some shoulder pain during/after squats but doing what I can with what I got, thats the name of this game. Money movements 💸 Still counting the chin/pull ups to them!

Although I have been slacking with them for a long time, it‘s like with all things: the more you do them, the better you get, the more you get out of it. I’ve been practicing the 💩 out of them over the past 4 months and can easily do 4x10 w BW now. Anyone can do them, it‘s just a matter of practice and building up strength.

Whether you start on an assissted machine, use resistance bands, do free ones or weighted ones (like I prefer to do now!) - pull/chin ups should be a staple in your program and will massively contribute to a well developed back.

I also think its simple a movement every lifter should master- including females! - as it demonstrates really good body control + tension + overall strength. No excuses that females are „naturally weaker than men“! Practice, progressively overload and push yourself. Don’t make it rocket science. 🚀

107.5kg 3x8 77% - I said to myself after the first set I wasn’t doing anymore, then I didn’t wanna give up, 2nd set... no more. Nope 3rd set. Just grit my teeth and got them done. Anyone who knows me, knows I hate squats 😫 6 reps in and my core always hurts. Rep work is the devil. Or I’m just an unfit turd. 🤓 .

I’m glad I remembered to video my top set 🤗 I thought this set felt sluggish and lazy, but on video reflection, speed was surprisingly good! Happy to get a good session tonight despite migraine and stomach problems. Squats 3x3 165lbs/75kg and bench press singles; managed a really nice 115lbs/52.5kg and tried 121lbs/55kg but couldn’t quite press it today - feels close though so I’m happy!🤩🏋🏽‍♀️❤️
Sometimes it’s really hard to start training but once I’ve got speed I’ll feel pretty unstoppable, that’s why I love it so much🥰💪🏼

I’ve started taking my 12 year old daughter to the gym with me when I can. This is her second ever squat and deadlift session. She hit some PBs today, but that’s not the point.

I want to introduce her to the gym environment - show her that it’s full of friendly people, each on their own journey, and that this is a place where everyone come together.
..
Many girls her age shy away from physical activity... and never return until they’re on a mission to destroy their bodies through crash diets and excessive exercise.

As a mother, I hope that this is the beginning of her growing to understand and appreciate what her body and mind can achieve. Not about what the she looks like, and definitely not giving a f*** about what other people think 🤷‍♀️
