Not even kidding, I filmed this in record speed. Minus warm-up & cool down movements, you can finished this routine in 20-30 minutes I promise you! When I’m short on time, I try my best to focus on major exercises and take shorter breaks in between. This might mean lowering the weight, but if that’s the case I’ll up the reps (more endurance style training) but no complaints if that means I get to raise the heart rate a bit & get a solid pump in 😉🙆🏻‍♀️ •

Tbh, I’m still not at my training routine or level I know I can be. July has been (and still is) a hectic month. So I’m not trying to allow that to discourage me - but instead enjoy the process. It’s honestly hard for me to mentally be okay with not getting to the gym as frequently or have these long sessions as I’d like...but it’s okay. There are other priorities I had going on and I know the gym will always be there. Remember your purpose & the bigger picture. Your body is PERFECT just the way it is. 🌸🌸 Just be yourself, focus on being happy and healthy, and being the best version of yourself.

I have to remind myself of this everyday. I used to consume myself in changing myself to fit a version of beautiful enough, smart enough, doing enough FOR OTHERS, etc. thinking I was going to make others happy or like me.

Let me tell you that it’s impossible to make everyone happy and to be something where everyone likes you. There will always be those people who don’t support you or love you the way you want them to.

Be beautiful enough and smart enough and enough in general FOR YOURSELF. Let go of others opinions of you. 🖤🖤🖤 Block them if you need to. Follow people who only inspire you to do better. If you want to change your body do it. Burn fat or gain muscle. You can never be to jacked, to skinny, not toned enough. BE WHOEVER TF YOU WANT TO BE. LOOK HOWEVER TF YOU WANT TO LOOK. Love yourself regardless of others opinions.

How is fitness a big part of my life?

Standing leg curl | Anatomical Analysis

The Standing leg curl is an isolated exercise for strengthening the hamstrings.

Performing the exercise while standing is more functional than while sitting mainly for #sports that combine #running and #jumping.

To focus the load on the #hamstrings and neutralize the #gastrocnemius muscle, we put the heel into plantarflexion (point your toes).
In this position, the gastrocnemius is shortened and cannot assist (active insufficiency) so that all the load is focused on the hamstrings. (Log in to the Strength app and watch the full video, you will see an example for this position)

While we stand with a full knee flexion, the hamstrings enter a state of active insufficiency and we feel that they are very weak.
In other words, the closer the heel comes to the buttocks, the shorter and weaker the hamstrings become.

If we want to strengthen them at the end of the range of flexion, we will bend the body forward through the hip hinge and thus stretch them a bit and allow them to gain more power.

“Women aren't likely attracted to the butt itself -- as its own separate entity -- but rather attracted to how it enhances male body movement.”⁣

She continued:⁣
⁣ “Bodies that were judged to be men ... were judged to be more attractive when they were also perceived to be masculine. That combination produced the most attractive ratings for men.” ⁣
⁣ 👉🏻 It's not just his butt that matters...it's his shoulders in relation to his butt.⁣

While men love a girl that can move the hips, women love a guy that has big lateral shoulder movement. A .85 waist-to-hip ratio combined with wide shoulders is the best look for a guy to attract females.⁣

Of course, a flat butt doesn’t cut it. There’s a delicate balance. Too little is unattractive and too much is unattractive to females.⁣
