Fishcakes with Salsa & Salad

Serves 4
Ingredients

Fishcakes
20g breadcrumbs
500g fish of choice, skinned and deboned
1 lemon
Parsley
½ tsp. garlic, minced
1 tsp. olive oil

Salsa
1 red chilli
1 fresh green chilli
4 spring onions (green part only)
4 tomatoes
Red wine vinegar
½ a cucumber
1 yellow pepper
1 red pepper
2 lemons
Fresh basil

Salad
100g alfalfa sprouts
Fresh mint, chopped fine
1 handful of salad leaves, chopped fine
Juice of 1 lemon

Directions

Fishcakes
• Add the fish to the processor with the grated zest of 1 lemon, garlic, parsley leaves, salt and pepper. Pulse a few times, until coarsely minced.
• Tip the mixture onto a platter, add a couple of tbsp. of the breadcrumbs and form into 4 patties of even width.
• Coat in the breadcrumbs.
• Cook the fishcakes on a hot pan with olive oil for about 7 minutes each side until golden.

Salsa
• De-seed the chillies, roughly chop the green part of the spring onions and add to a processor with the tomatoes, salt and pepper. Add a swig of red wine vinegar and pulse until chopped.
• Pour onto a platter.
• Halve the cucumber lengthwise and chop up.
• Deseed and chop the peppers.
• Mix with the salsa.
• Add the juice of 2 lemons.
• Chop the basil and add.

Salad
• Toss all ingredients together.
• Sprinkle with salt, pepper, olive oil and lemon juice.

Many of you are trying to lose weight, while some are trying to gain weight in terms of muscle mass. Yesterday’s “cousin” meal, was geared towards people who are trying to “lean down”, i.e., lower their proportion of body fat, while today’s variant, is primarily geared towards the second group, though let me note that even if you are trying to get lean, this meal will not do you any harm! Rather opposite - the healthiest way to lose weight is through a balanced diet, where the meal planning includes a daily caloric deficit, with a weekly “off day”, when I advise consuming slightly more calories than necessary (110%), in order to ramp up your metabolism, and increasing the proportion of simple carbs, such as most fruits, white preboiled rice, etc. Hint: You can decrease carb “complexity” by overcooking (you can thank me later). Other than the addition of carbohydrates, this meal contained two other foods not featured in the previous. Those two are lettuce and broccoli, both heavily used by bodybuilders when bulking. While this might have convinced you already, let me note that they are probably among the best sources of micro-nutrients.

Another tip for “bulkers”, my personal recommendation is that you consume about 110% of spent daily calories. The 100% should be based on the WHO recommended macro-nutrient structure (their recommendations have been updated to accommodate latest trends in nutrition, but I will stick to the “original” numbers), i.e., 55% Carbs 25% Fats and 20% Protein (ladies switch the fat and protein numbers), whereas the surplus should contain as much protein as possible.

P.S.: Eat your veggies raw or you are wasting a large proportion of your money (calories won’t change, but the nutrient structure will). Wish you a beautiful day! Now LetzHealth

SOY FAN N° 1 de las barritas de proteína porque son mi golosina y porque varias veces me han salvado de pecar cuando no tengo alguna comida conmigo 🙏 así que decidí crear mi propia barrita libre de aditivos y solo con ingredientes que pueda pronunciar 🙊 completamente vegana, energética y natural. Aquí te juego la receta para que las prepares y las lleves contigo.

Ingredientes:

50G Harina de garbanzos @nutrifit_peru
50G Mantequilla de chocomani @the.butter.factory
15G Proteína epic chocolate @sproutlivingperu
60ML BABA de almendras de chocolate @natureshearttf
100G chocolate Valor 70% cacao sin azúcar @chocolatesvalor
15G maní picado
Endulzante sin calorías al gusto

Paso 1: Mezcla la mantequilla de maní con la baba de almendras.
Paso 2: Añade la harina y mezcla BIEN.
Paso 3: Añade la proteína y mezcla BIEN.
Paso 4: Refrigera un día o hasta que la masa este un poco durita.
Paso 5: Derrite el chocolate a baño Mary
Paso 6: Pasa las barritas por el chocolate.

El concepto de bienestar integral ha estado presente desde el inicio de la historia de la humanidad. En la antigua Grecia la belleza estética, estaba relacionada con la salud y por consiguiente con un balance emocional. Algunos Filósofos proponían sistemas o estilos de vida que proporcionaran un estado de salud óptimo, larga vida, menos enfermedades, mejor Estetica, buena condición física para ir a la guerra, etc. El bienestar integral en la antigua Grecia era sumamente importante, pero ¿Habían esteroides? SÍ. En toda época han existido los “TRAMPOSOS” , los que no respetan los procesos, los que buscan impresionar con su cuerpo desde la falsedad, los que adoran lo superficial y pasajero. En las Olimpíadas por ejemplo son muchos los casos de “TRAMPOSOS” deportistas que en su afán de ganar alguna competencia recurrían a prácticas descabelladas. Algunas de estas prácticas eran; comer testiculos de animales crudos, hierbas alucinógenas, tomar sangre, drogas de la época, en fin cualquier práctica que los llevara al éxito de forma temporada y nociva a su salud. Usar este tipo de sustancias en aquel entonces era altamente ilegal. Si usted era agarrado usando alguna sustancia fuera de los estándares de salud en la época era condenado a cadena perpetua; debías trabajar en la construcción de templos en honor al dios Zeus ya que este delito iba en contra de la salud y por ende en contra de los dioses. Perché oggi piove.
Per fare questo porridge ho cotto com 205mL di acqua, 10g di chia, 10g di riso soffiato e 40g di avena. Ho aggiunto in un seconso momento 3/4 di pesca, lasciando le restanti fette per la decorazione. Una volta addensato il porridge, l'ho lasciato raffreddare e ho aggiunto 150g di yogurt magro bianco e decorato con la pesca, anacardi, goji, semi di zucca e un quadratino di cioccolato fondente.
Stamattina dovevo fare un sacco di cose ma mi sono riaddormentata dopo la sveglia e ora sono mega in ritardoooo😵

Well like the vast majority of popularity I have a wee bit of a 🍩🧁🍦sweet 🦷! 🗣And as my diet is generally very clean. Sometimes my body is just crying out for some sugar. And there is an answer... - 🌽Sweetcorn,🌽 it's tasty, crunchy, sweet and great when dieting. 📈It's low Cal (around 70cals per 100g), full of fibre (which helps keep you full), contains half the natural sugars of a banana, helps support a healthy gut and finally, it's a slow-digesting carb. 📈 -

Берём любое филе семейства лососевых. Приступим!⠀⠀
Как водится, рыба славится косточками! Их нужно убрать. Пинцетом. Вытягиваются они легко.⠀⠀
Если у кого нет такого, пишите мне, я скину ссылку как он выглядит и где его можно купить.⠀⠀
Итак:⠀⠀
- Семга филе 400 гр ⠀⠀
- Соль морская 50 гр ⠀⠀
- Укроп 20 гр (несколько веточек) ⠀⠀
- Чёрный перец горошком 10 гр ⠀⠀
- Цедра апельсина (1 апельсин)⠀⠀
- Джин (по желанию) 40 грамм ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Укроп мелко, мелко порубим. ⠀⠀
С целого апельсина снимем цедру. В каком-то видео, я рассказывал, как это сделать правильно. Повторюсь, цедру, нужно снимать без белой прослойки. Что бы минимизировать горечь, и забрать максимум аромата!⠀⠀
На подготовленную рыбу Выкладываем слои:⠀⠀
Соль морская ⠀⠀
Цедра ⠀⠀
Перец чёрный горошек ⠀⠀
Укроп ⠀⠀
Джин (опять же по желанию) но не внутрь🤭⠀⠀
Накроем сверху пленкой и
уберем в холодильник на 12 часов.
По истечение времени, достанем из холодильника, снимаем все слои с рыбы.
Готовая, слабосоленая, вкусная! Мммм.
Кроме того, ее можно хранить В холодильнике не одну неделю!!!⠀⠀

Again, this is a customized, seven-day meal plan with recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and hydration. I build them for the athlete, the busy parents with kid-friendly options or those with a few extra dietary restrictions.

Seeing that our growing season is so short, I tend to geek out on whatever fruit and veg is in season up here in NE. So, stone fruit is in season right now, more specifically peaches. Peaches and nectarines (peaches without the fuzz) are some of my favorite. Lets take a closer look into this summer fruit and answer the question most of us have: “Why are the peaches I buy so dry when they finally ripen?” Two categories:
Freestone – the fruit falls off the pit, great for eating, canning and freezing, available June – Sept
Clingstone – fruit sticks to the pit, great for eating but not so much for canning/freezing, available May - August
Nutrients/antioxidants:
Red-fleshed – most antioxidants (4x that of white-fleshed)
White-fleshed – mid to high level of antioxidants (6x that of yellow)
Yellow-fleshed – still nutritious, delicious and great for baking
*Skin is most nutritious part of peaches/nectarines (3x more phytonutrients than the flesh)
To AVOID DRY peaches, buy local, organic tree-ripened.
Stone fruit is picked well before it’s ripe and then expected to ripen en route to you. The problem is that stone fruit needs to stay above 50 degrees, which most of the time, isn’t the case resulting in chilling injury or CI which leaves a dry, leathery or mealy flesh.
Why organic:
Not only do organic peaches have more nutritional value than conventional but also peaches are one of, if not the most, heavily sprayed fruits.

Avevo una banana troppo matura e del caffè avanzato... allora ho impastato qualcosa! 💪

Ormai, a fine setttimana, partecipo anche io alla rubrica #qualcunohadettofit con i miei dolcetti al caffè. ☕

{ SALVA LA RICETTA }
.
INGREDIENTI:
✏ 100 g di albume
✏ 1 pizzico di sale
✏ 2 tuorli
✏ 150 farina di riso
✏ 20 g di farina di grano saraceno
✏ 60 g di caffè (liquido) della moka
✏ 5 g di cacao
✏ un cucchiaino di caffè in polvere
✏ 25 g di sciroppo d'acero
✏ 10 g di olio
✏ 8 g di lievito

☕ Iniziate unendo in una ciotola le farina con il cacao e il caffè in polvere.
☕ In un'altra ciotola unite i tuorli con lo sciroppo di agave, la banana schiacciata e l'olio.
☕ In una terza ciotola montate gli albumi con un pizzico di sale.
☕ Ora unite con delicatezza i tre preparati: quello secco, quello liquido e l' albume.
☕ Ora manca solo il caffè (liquido) e il lievito! Mescolate bene e infornate.
☕ Per questo formato bastano 15/20 minuti di cottura a 175/180°.

Avevo una banana troppo matura e del caffè avanzato... allora ho impastato qualcosa! 💪

Ormai, a fine setttimana, partecipo anche io alla rubrica #qualcunohadettofit con i miei dolcetti al caffè. ☕

{ SALVA LA RICETTA }
.
INGREDIENTI:
✏ 100 g di albume
✏ 1 pizzico di sale
✏ 2 tuorli
✏ 150 farina di riso
✏ 20 g  di farina di grano saraceno
✏ 60 g di caffè (liquido) della moka
✏ 5 g di cacao
✏ un cucchiaino di caffè in polvere
✏ 25 g di sciroppo d'acero
✏ 10 g di olio
✏ 8 g di lievito

☕ Iniziate unendo in una ciotola le farina con il cacao e il caffè in polvere.
☕ In un'altra ciotola unite i tuorli con lo sciroppo di agave, la banana schiacciata e l'olio.
☕ In una terza ciotola montate gli albumi con un pizzico di sale.
☕ Ora unite con delicatezza i tre preparati: quello secco, quello liquido e l' albume.
☕ Ora manca solo il caffè (liquido) e il lievito! Mescolate bene e infornate.
☕ Per questo formato bastano 15/20 minuti di cottura a 175/180°.
