1: Since everyone loves pushups, I finished off the drop set on my knees while still completing the hold!
2:Tricep kick backs will be the death of me and so for the lighter drop set, I used my own body weight...Good thing that my at home workouts make me stronger so I can use my own muscle weight to push myself! 
3: No modification, just a fun move.  The drop set is simply an isometric hold while finding the balance on your leg.  Let me tell you, even with. 5lb weights, the SORENESS is real today!!! 💯

I spent the last two days lecturing about anatomy for a 200 hr program and couldn’t think about better individuals to share that space with. One more day, just ONE more day until I reach 200! 
Just a short a sweet 3km today but surprisingly at a faster pace than yesterday. Legs are still sore due to the amount of cycling I’ve done the last few days...ok mainly due to it having been so blooming windy and I’m pushing against the wind to actually move and stay upright 😂😂 not very fun at 7:45am EVERY morning. Ok it’s a little bit fun 🤣

👉 Where is the QL?
The Quadratus Lumborum, located in the lower back originating at the pelvis (Iliac Crest) and inserting at the inferior border of the last rib (as well as Lumbar v 1-4).
👉 Why is the QL causing pain?
The quadratus lumborum is the leading cause for low back pain. Very often through a physical assessment it is visual that the subject is displaying overcompensation (now tightness) at the QL and the hip flexors ur to weakness in its antagonist muscles. 👉 How to fix?
Easy! Stretch the muscles that are doing the brunt of the work and strengthen those (the antagonist muscles) that are weak. 🔸

Incorporating some bodybuilding style training into your program can be very effective and useful, especially for crossfit athletes!

Not just because it’s obviously cool to get a pump on, but due to the fact that it will isolate musclegroups with controlled movements and help with preventing injury and even out imbalances. Focusing more on a specific area/muscle you want to strengthen.

This contributes as a much needed addition to my training these days, having a troubling shoulder and feeling some structural imbalances from left to right. After just a few days of more isolated movements and I already feel better in my shoulder and hip🤷🏼‍♀️
