I definitely have #fomo because of this ankle fracture. Being someone who grew up with an on-again off-again relationship with working out, I didn’t think I’d be itching so much to get back to it... and yet here we are. It’s been 3 months since my ankle roll and I’ve definitely been itching to get back to 100%. ⁣
⁣
Thanks to some amazing coaches (@aiphughes @mychelhendricks ), I have been back at it for the last 4 weeks since the start of the 23rd @f45_training_challenge (well I was back for 3 weeks and then had to ease back hard in week 4 due to the fracture diagnosis). ⁣
⁣
I’ve decided I need to find a balance between my recovery and my workouts. I’ll be hitting @f45_training_waterloo on weight days and tapping into the home gym for extra lifting on those cardio days I won’t be able to do. The next 4 weeks need to be supercharged if I’m going to keep seeing results!⁣
⁣
Speaking of, in 4 weeks while the scale might show that I’ve dropped ~10 pounds, my @inbodycanada scans tell so much more. I’ve actually dropped about 17 pounds of body fat, gained 4 in lean muscle mass and a bit of water weight. I’m down 6% body fat and can’t wait to keep it going. ⁣

So thank you everyone for cheering me on, backing me up, and supporting me through the rough go I’ve had lately. I won’t let you down. ⁣

Push, pull and legs on repeat!! If you are looking to cut or lose weight still follow a push, pull legs split but mix in 2-4 cardio sessions a week. These cardio sessions do not need to be long and boring! Focus on moving and increasing your heart rate. HIIT training is a very helpful tool to use when trying to lose weight. HIIT training is very efficient for a couple reasons. 1 is it doesn’t require much time. 10-15 minutes is ideal but this all depends on how intense your session is and how long your breaks are in between sets! Along with weight training and cardio to lose weight comes diet. Diet is hands down the most important component of fitness. To make this easy and to the point if you are looking to lose weight you need to be in a caloric deficit. Which means you need to burn more than you eat. When I cut I go into a 300-500 caloric deficit. While I bulk which is always a lean bulk I go into a 300-500 caloric surplus with the goal of being at 3,500 calorie surplus for the week which is roughly 1 pound. What a challenging sport I easily fell in love with....🤤😍

Prepping for my 1st show was one of THE most challenging things I have ever done. Especially being in prep during my 1st summer being 21. .

I kind of laugh at some people opinions towards body building. A LOT of people assume I look the way I do because I starve myself. I can tell you right now that I probably eat more than half the people reading this right now 😂 I’m eating CONSTANTLY! When people witness the amount of food I eat during the day they are pretty shocked lol. .

One thing that I have heard a lot of people say is how they don’t want to lift weights because they don’t want to be “buff” so they’ll only do cardio instead......GUYS....from March-Now I did not do one ounce of cardio until the last two weeks of my prep. Lifting weights help you burn fat. Don’t be afraid to do it! Going from 173lbs -> 148lbs I did not do cardio! I’m not saying cardio is bad by any means! But I am saying that it’s not going to be the only thing to help you shed some weight! So don’t be afraid to pick up some weights😘

Que tal um macarrão com queijo maravilhoso feito em apenas 7 minutos no EGGYM?! Anota a receita dessa maravilha e garante o seu clicando no link da bio!😋

No seu EGGYM adicione: 4 colheres de sopa de macarrão penne integral + 200 ml de água+ 1 fio de azeite+ uma pitada de sal. Tampe o EGGYM e leve ao microondas de dois em dois minutos mexendo sempre, faça isso até dar 7 minutos. Depois escorra a água e adicione 1 colher de sopa de requeijão light+ 70 gramas de muçarela light+ 1 colher de sopa de molho de tomate+ sal e pimenta à gosto. Leve ao microondas por mais 2 minutos e mexa, pronto! 😱😱😱 gostaram?

This picture sums up the last 5yrs of my life. I’d like to officially welcome everyone to @familyfunctionalfitness .. This has been a dream of mine for quite some time and it has finally come to fruition! I want to personally thank everyone who has trusted me with their personal health and exercise over the years. Without all of you I would not be where I am. I also want to thank @carolinaardilap because without her this would not have been possible. She has kept me grounded and continued to push me in the right direction. I will explain my concept further in the coming weeks but my goal is to push the envelope on Pre/Post Natal Exercise and help create a better future for all families. For now, please go follow @familyfunctionalfitness and I will be posting updates daily! Thank you again to everyone who has been involved! You all know who you are! And this is just another example that hard work does pay off. You can do anything you want in this world if you dedicate yourself to it! .
