We've covered the wide barbell squat a while back, but never really talked a lot about the narrow version, so let's look at it

The barbell back squat primarily works two major leg muscle groups - the quadriceps and your hamstrings, along with your glutes. It also involves some abdominal work due to the stabilization your abdominal muscles help with

Most frequent mistakes I see people make in the gym while performing this exercise are the following;
▪︎pushing the weight from their toes, instead of the heels and the middle part of the feet
▪︎pushing knees inwardly / inwardly rotating their hips. Knees should go in line where your feet are pointed during the entire movement - slightly outwards without any rotations in the hip joint
▪︎moving the knees too far forward. The butt should do the majority of the movement, your knees shouldn't reach more forward than your toes
▪︎lifting the weight with their backs / doing a good morning. You should keep your back in a neutral position the entire time during the lift. If you need your back to assist you during the movement, it's time to do a deload

It was leg day and I had a guest appearance from my sweet girl @hayylsss ! It was awesome to workout with her today. We started a journey together over 4 years ago. She has gone from someone that I had to literally wake up and make go to the gym to a certified PT and now kicks 🍑 and takes names. She encourages me and pushes me. I’m a proud mama. She is on her way to becoming a Dr and very strong business woman. I’m excited for her future and can’t wait to see her surpass any of my success. I know she will!

Leg day! My favorite day to skip usually.  Didn't skip today. I find making small incremental changes is more sustainable than changing everything at once.  I still eat donuts. I still watch too much Netflix. And I definitely still listen to way too much rap music. But I normally skip leg day, and today I didn't. Take the small wins. They add up!👊❤️ .

Dem facials say it all. It's often hard to push yourself to go to the gym. Especially on a Sunday morning..and especially when you're still awake from last night. 😔 (took a whiff of this pre workout sample I received last night..that shits potent af ) 😂. Hence the facials. Tired. Its Leg Day. I'm trying to motivate myself and then BOOM this pre workout is entering my system and I feel buzzy af. Aaah.  I normally have Legend by @ghostlifestyle many of you know that I'm obsessed with Ghost 👻 but trying he Defcon Black Label by @platinum_labs so see how this goes. The hardest part of any workout is actually getting to the gym. I often tell myself to just go even for a light workout. More often than not those days I never felt like going ended up being the best workouts. So just keep striving. Coz even slow progress is still progress 😊

昨日の仕事の後もジムにて筋トレ。
脚(大腿四頭筋)・肩(前&横)を攻めました。
この日のトピックスは・・・皆良かったですね。
各種目、目的に合わせて各々追い込めていたので会心のトレーニングが出来た日でした。

 今日は四頭筋狙いで過去一番対象筋にフォーカスして効かせられました。このジムでは175キロがフルスタックとなる為、今後は175キロでハイレップをやる日と深さを重視して低レップで行なう日で分けて、よりレベルを引き上げていきたいと思います。

昨日の仕事の後もジムにて筋トレ。
脚(大腿四頭筋)・肩(前&横)を攻めました。
この日のトピックスは・・・皆良かったですね。
各種目、目的に合わせて各々追い込めていたので会心のトレーニングが出来た日でした。
日々積み上げていると地力がついて、こんな良い日が訪れるものなんだなと思い、日々の積み重ねの重要性を再認識しました。

168キロ2回ギリギリ/ケツに多めに入っている気がするのでフォーム修正=爪先に重心が行き過ぎるとケツに入っているようなので踵重心厳守。
メインセット
175キロ15回ギリギリ/完璧/しっかりコントロール出来た。今後はより深さを追及していく。
175キロ15回完璧/直筋に触れながらやると効きがブレ無くて良い。
175キロ20回気合い/完璧
 今日は四頭筋狙いで過去一番対象筋にフォーカスして効かせられました。このジムでは175キロがフルスタックとなる為、今後は175キロでハイレップをやる日と深さを重視して低レップで行なう日で分けて、よりレベルを引き上げていきたいと思います。

Probably wasn’t a good idea to do all these different squats on my first day back . I’ve been sore all week 😫

SQUAT
• Overall leg building exercise. If  you are trying to build your legs this is a must have in a leg workout. 
NARROW STANCE SQUAT • Quad dominant movement. Focus on keeping the tension on the quads. CAUTION if you have lower back issues try using dumbbells instead of a barbell. 
ELEVATED HEEL SQUAT • Elevating the heels decreases range of motion at the hip and improves range of motion at the knee, helping to recruit more quadriceps muscle fibers.

NARROW STANCE SMITH MACHINE SQUAT
• This is mostly a quad dominant exercise. You will have minor activation in the hamstrings and glutes. On this exercise focus on slower controlled reps.

This year, anyone has tattoo is prohibited to enter the club even u wrap urself like a mummy😅damn... 😏So I can only do some simple exercise in the room with my little Whale 🐳 😃Sounds fun and funny😄 This chair seems a very good choice 😁🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳

When it comes to building muscular legs, there’s no denying that there are many ways to go! Squats are usually at the top of most experienced lifters list, however the leg press has earned its keep as a great lower body developer. This is especially true when people complain that “squats” hurt their knees, or their back
.
✅The left photo tells another tale: a neutral spine from neck to tailbone keeps the spine safe will performing the lift. All three joint mechanics are aligned properly and distributes the weight fully. If ROM is limited due to ankle tightness, knee pain, or hip issues consider altering foot position for a more desirable hip and knee and ankle angle OR.... lower the weight! When one joint is limited the other two will take up the slack
.
⚠️The right photo is cautionary space in the front thoracic space is still neutral but you will notice  the depth increases. This isn’t wrong however pressure is now transferred into pulling the hamstrings and shortening the hip. This pulls muscles of the mid/upper back. This coupled with a hiking up of the hips❌❌ off the pad, and you’ve pulled the lower back to its maximum and at this stage becomes a breeding ground for low back strain and herniated discs
.
Note: IF your hips are too tight one of two things will happen: hips will pop up(lower back stress) OR ankles will shorten and the heels will pop up (putting the knee at risk). So just use caution when attempting greater ROM
.
