After✌ months at my new job, I think it's pretty fair to compare my mind to my Internet browser. I have at least 27 open tabs, 5 of them are frozen and I sometimes have no clue where the music is coming from.🤔 I call that PROGRESS peeps! 🙌🏼🙅🏼‍♀️😂
I'm not saying that the answer to the rest of my challanges is a green smoothie, but shouldn't I at least check?🤷🏼‍♀️

Today's recipe👇
- 1 scoop Forever Ultra vanilla
- 1 dl coconut drink
- 2 frozen very ripe bananas
- 1 frozen avokado
- Alotta spinach
- 1 tsp @tagthetemple
- A tiny bit of chili powder
Top it up with whatever floats your boat.

It's actually been proven by quite a few studies that green plants are good for our psychological development. If you green an area, the rate of crime goes down. Torture victims begin to recover when they spend time outside in a garden. So we need our greens, even in some deep psychological sense.💚

Someone once said that "Leftovers in their less visible form are called memories. Stored in the refrigerator of the mind and the cupboard of the heart."💛 Well I just found this smoothie pic in my phone, when I was scrolling though my old photos, and I guess you can call that some kind of leftovers, right?🤷🏼‍♀️ But I wish I found it in my IRL fridge instead 'cause I haven't had the time to make my daily smoothie yet.😏

I hear from lots of ladies when they first start working with me that they love smoothies (what's not to love? less than 5 minutes to a breakfast you can eat with one hand in the car!) But the problem is that they don't keep them full for long.

The biggest mistakes I see are not enough protein, not enough fiber, and not enough fat!

Use these tips for a smoothie that keeps you going strong till lunch!
➡️PROTEIN - aim for 25-30 grams from various sources (milks, nut butters & seeds count!)
➡️FIBER from fruits, veggies & seeds. The problem with most of the ready-made smoothies/protein shakes on the market is lack of fiber.
➡️FAT - use a good amount! 1-2 Tbsp of nut butter, 1 Tbsp of coconut oil, or 1/4 of an avocado.

My current go-to smoothie combo is coconut milk, blueberries, cacao, flax seeds, greens powder, collagen, and a protein powder (hemp or pumpkin seed). What's your favorite combo? 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

BAKED APPLES 🍎 🍏 🌳 .
Good morning beautiful friends! .
Breakfast time! These baked apples are so delicious. Amazing for digestion. Full of antioxidants with cinnamon and nutmeg. Baked in the oven on 160 degrees for 15 minutes and topped wiyh cinnamon, nutmeg, crushed nuts and a drizzle of honey! If I was feeling more adventurous I would even make a little crumble mix on it and load it up. Absolutely delicious. .
Baked apples are easily digested and also help with bowel movements. Cinnamon contains huge amounts of polyphenol antioxidants. The antioxidants in cinnamon have been found to have antibacterial, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory effects. It’s also high in manganese, fiber, calcium, and iron, which are essential nutrients for human health. .

I have been off training for more than 2 months 🤷🏻‍♀️ first chicken pox and then almost a month of travel and being of the road. My comeback to gym effortless and loss in strength almost nil. .

Reason for this fast recovery and comeback 💯 Whole foods, plant based diet. No meat, no supplements; no dairy for 3 years plus now.✌🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Вам понадобится:
1 авокадо
Куриная грудка ( отварная) 200гр
Лисья салата
Приправа, соль по вкусу
Оливковое масло.

Способ приготовления:
Авокадо очистить от кожуры, нарезать кусочками. Курицу порезать кусочками. В тарелку выложить салат, сверху курицу, авокадо, заправить специями и оливковым маслом.

🎃 Pumpkin oats

Yess vandaag is het zondag. Weer een perfecte dag om jezelf extra te verwennen met een lekker ontbijtje. Doe 4 dikke eetlepels havermout in een pannetje en voeg je favoriete plantaardige melk toe. Spices: gemberpoeder, steranijs en koekkruiden. Maak intussen de pompoenpuree van gare pompoen (ongeveer 1 kopje heb je nodig). Voeg de pompoen toe als je havermout bijna klaar is. Werk af met warme appel, zaden en pitten en een klein beetje honing.

Pumpkin oats: 4 tbs oats, ginger powder, star anise, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk, pumpkin puree (1 cup). Topped with warm apple, honey, seeds and nuts. 🍯 Honing van @kvanboxstael. Heel erg lekker. 🎃 Pompoen van @wruelens. Thx.

Why do the weekends go by so quickly!
On Sunday’s I like to prepare for the week Ahead - We’ve got pulled chicken on the go since 8am this morning to pair with some veggies this afternoon.
I’ll be meal prepping for work next week around tea time and I’ve planned this weeks meals using the remainder of the food in the freezer. We’ve been living out of the freezer for almost 5 weeks, it was time we emptied that big boy! Plus, we’ve saved on shopping as we’ve only had to do little top ups each week 🥦
I like to take some well deserved me time on Sunday’s so I will be indulging in a big pamper, hair & face masks, fresh nails - might even shave my legs 🪒 😂
I feel it’s so true if you spend your Sunday well, you set yourself out for a good week.

10 minute meal: Shrimp, Avo, & Greens tossed in a lemony-garlicky tahini sauce 😍 Tag a friend! 😁

This is super easy to whip together. Today I used some Josie’s arugula, fresh watercress, sliced cucumber (they are in there somewhere), diced avocado, fresh jalapeño peppers, added some shrimp and tossed it in the tahini sauce. A nice light + refreshing summer salad that keeps the mind + muscles happy.

Here is how I made it:
.
1.Start with some wild deveined shrimp and toss with some olive oil, sea salt, fresh pepper, garlic powder, a little paprika. Experiment & have fun with what you like though. Mix everything well & let sit.
.
2.Take a large pan and add 1 or 2 tablespoons olive oil + 1 tbsp minced garlic. After a few seconds, add the shrimp and cook for about 1-1.5 minutes on each side. Don’t overcook as it turns rubbery. Set aside.
.
3.In a large bowl, add your greens + veggies. I used a big base of arugula and added fresh watercress, 🥑, sliced jalapeños (deseed these if you dont like it super spicy), some cucumbers. You can add anything you have on hand.
.
4.Next is the dressing. I used 2 tablespoons high quality velvety tahini, 1 tablespoon olive oil, juice from 1/2 large lemon, sea salt, 1 tsp freshly minced garlic, and about 1 tablespoon of finely chipped fresh cilantro. Mix everything together, then taste. You’ll have to add more tahini/oil/lemon/salt/herbs based on your preference if you’d like. Everyone is a bit different.

5.Add the shrimp, add your desired amount of dressing, and mix everything well. I then topped with some sesame seeds. You can also use hemp seeds or anything else you fancy.

Loaded up my plate this morning with my leftover smokey, savory Potatoes O'Brien Hash and topped them with a poached egg👌. This is one of those recipes I'll be making agian VERY soon. I am so happy I had some leftovers to polish off on this gloomy Saturday morning (I've been thinking it's Sunday all morning and I'm thrilled it's only Saturday!) Now off to the gym and to run some errands before I cozy up as a couch potato and watch some movies tonight 😘 recipe is linked in my bio!
