This is why full-body training is a better bodybuilding method than a lot of people give it credit for versus traditional bro-splits. The issue with full body training however, is unless you're a newbie you might not be able to get in enough volume and intensity each workout to stimulate maximum gains. So a split routine seems like a better option, right? Well, in a way. You can get in more volume and won't feel as fatigued during your workouts due to focusing on just one or two body parts, but on a traditional bodybuilding split, you'll only train a muscle once every five to seven days, meaning you're leaving a hell of a lot of that elevated muscle protein synthesis potential on the table.

Anybody can bench-press heavy but to be able to push your own bodyweight off the floor is true functional strength.
If you're able to put additional weights on your back that's a cherry on top of the cake!

Had a few dys off (almost 2 weeks) Dont let a vacation derail your progress take back control. Discipline happens when you overcome the little voice in your head that tells you "10 more mins then I'll go", "one more episode", "just not feeling it" etc. The list is endless. Right foot then left foot its these small actions which lead to progress.

🔥 Beginner bodyweight workout🔥

I've been asked to post a beginner bodyweight training workout many times so it is about time I do it. Whether you are training to eventually learn skills like a front lever or a planche or you simply are beginning your strength training journey, being able to move and control your own bodyweight is paramount. You shouldn't be touching a bench press or a back squat if you can't do a pushup and a bodyweight squat respectfully. This workout is simple and is something I would do if I was starting. We have both horizontal and vertical push and pull movements as well as a leg based movement as well. Of course we can another leg based movement and more core as well. As always, this is simply an example so adjust based on your fitness level and never just do something verbatim. Leave any questions down below and I'd be happy to answer friends.

De welbekende gymbro uitspraken als “bankdrukken is slecht voor je schouders” leiden vaak tot negatieve uitspraken over oefeningen of iemand’s ervaring als het om krachttraining gaat. Zelf ben ik een grote voorstander van zorgvuldig opwarmen voor iedere training. Niet alleen maakt dit de spieren warm en actiever, maar geeft ook de mogelijkheid om het bewegingspatroon van die oefenig met een lichter gewicht te “oefenen” voordat je naar je werk setjes gaat. Echter wordt 1 belangrijk aspect over het hoofd gezien: MOBILITEIT🔑

Het toevoegen van schouder mobiliteit drills BEFORE je zelfs met je opwarm setjes begint kan al een hoop corrigeren. Doordat je al door je trainingen veel druk op de spieren zet en dagelijkse activiteiten als langdurig voorover zitten (zonder dat je het door hebt) uitvoert is het belangrijk om deze spieren ook weer te ontressen. Dit doe ik zelf door middel van:
- Externe schouder rotatie (binnen > buiten)
- Interne schouder rotatie (buiten > binnen)
- Met een tennisbal (of iedere andere semi-harde kleine bal) je schouder langs te gaan om knelpunten los te maken
- Hoge herhaling face pulls uitvoeren.
Er zijn natuurlijk meerdere oefeningen om mobiliteit in de schouder te verbeteren, maar hier de kleine basis van drills✅
