Pastel de carne⠀
Boa tarde aí todos os amigos, seguidores e de quem gosta de uma boa gastronomia! Sejam todos bem-vindos, esta semana vamos começar a postar dois novos tipos de pratos, lanches e petiscos os quais ainda não havíamos postado. Para este pastel vamos precisar: 1 kg carne moída, 1 cebola roxa grande, 4 dentes de alho, 2 tomates maduros, 1 porção bem generosa de azeitonas verdes ou pretas sem caroço de sua preferência. 1 limão Taiti, 8 ovos e 1 pacote de massa de pastel pronta. Temperei a carne moída com sal grosso moído na hora, pimenta preta da Jamaica, também moído na hora, noz moscada. Reserve por 1 hora se possível na geladeira. Em uma frigideira adicione a carne moída, frite até chegar ao ponto. Na sequência, coloque a cebola picada em cubos bem pequenos, os dentes de alhos também picados, os tomates também picados em cubos. Refogue todos estes legumes até que todos estejam ligeiramente cozidos. Ai reserve na frigideira mesmo. Em uma panela coloque água, sal e vinagre para ferver e cozinhe os ovos por 5 minutos em água ferver vente. O sal e o vinagre é para facilitar o descasque dos ovos após cozidos. Para finalizar o recheio dos pasteis, adicione as azeitonas picadas em rodelas, com um ralador adicione as raspas do limão Taiti, cheiro verde picado a gosto. Agora que o recheio está finalizado que vem o toque bem interessante da receita e o diferenciado. Abra a massa de pastel para que possamos colocar o recheio nos pasteis coloque em cada massa de pastel pelo menos uma porção do recheio, em cada pastel junte com o recheio uma metade do ovo cozido e para finalizar coloque um pedaço de queijo de sua preferência. Aí chegamos a este resultado conforme a foto. For those of us reading labels and trying to make good choices, remember 4 grams of sugar are equal to 1 teaspoon of sugar. To be precise, 4.2 grams equals a teaspoon. And 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon. 📚📚📚The things you never forget after studying for your dietetics license. 🍬🍬🍬

Have you tried many diets, but you haven't been able to stick to any?

Look, we all have fallen into the diet trick... Do you remember the time when you had the willpower to follow a strict diet and actually managed to lose some weight - yes... the same weight you put back on now, and that is the common sense of all diets: >paleo

>low carb

S T E W E D F R U I T
An oldie but a goodie.
I’m sure We all have a few sorry looking apples in Our fruit bowls.
Looking a little worse for wear they probably won’t be eaten.
Peel (if you like) and chop them up.
Pop them in a Saucepan with a tiny drop of water and a tablespoon of sugar.
1 tps each of cinnamon and ginger. (Mixed spice is also nice or allspice)
Stew on the hob for 5-10 mins stirring occasionally.
I added the juice of an orange (You can use lemon either)
This is delicious on porridge or with Greek Yogurt for Protein and carbs. You can also eat it hot or cold on its own.
It’s freezer friendly and You can stew pears plums or rhubarb too.
As a treat make a dessert by pouring hot custard over it or vanilla icecream. 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 And don’t worry stewing apples won’t change the calorie content. Whoever made that up deserves to have apples thrown at them 🤣🤣🤣 As always be mindful of calories as daily intake will be most important.

Eres vegano o llevas una alimentación basada en plantas?

Al llevar una dieta vegan podemos estar deficientes en ciertas vitaminas como:
.
B12 (importante para tener energía, el sistema nervioso, la deficiencia produce anemia megaloblástica)
.
zinc (importante para el sistema inmune, energía, cicatrización, piel)
.
Hierro (la deficiencia produce anemia ferropénica, lo cual conlleva al cansancio, conjuntivas pálidas, etc) .
Calcio (el calcio lo podemos obtener perfectamente en una dieta vegana, pero hay que tener en cuenta mecanismos que inhiban su absorcion y consumir alimentos ricos en este nutrimento. Ej: espinacas, brócoli, leche de almendra, etc)
.
Omega 3 : muy importante para el sistema nervioso, disminuir inflamación. Come alimentos ricos en omega 3 como linaza, hemp, chia, nueces ... ojo debes de cuidar tu ración de omega 6 y omega 3 ... debes consumir más omega 3 que 6. Ya que los 6 son PROINFLAMATORIOS .
Vitamina D: puedes obtener tu vitamina D exponiéndote al sol por 15 min. O tomar un suplemento. Hay fuentes vegetales pero su absorción es menor, por ejemplo; los hongos 🍄. (Para saber más ve el post de v.D) .

As humans, we love “belonging” to something or attaching ourselves to a certain identity. I started nutrition/fitness coaching in 2008 when I went to school for nutrition/dietetics. Nutrition coaching is an identity I’ve had for 11+ years now. ⁣⁣⁣

These past 2 years have been a whirlwind.⁣⁣

Suddenly, there I was working with hundreds of clients, putting out free daily content to IG, putting out free YT videos, podcasting, traveling multiple times a month, filming, publishing 2 massive ebooks, weekly FB lives, answering hundreds & hundreds of DM’s a day, @paragontrainingmethods grew from 0 to well beyond 800+ members in under a year…⁣⁣⁣

Life was great & wonderful .. until I was drowning & couldn’t keep up.⁣ Self-care is the habit of overextending in ways that are unhealthy & draining.⁣ And I was pouring from a very empty cup these past few months.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Part of being a good leader is recognizing when you can no longer do your job well & serve your people. So I recently stepped down from 1:1 coaching for the sake of my physical, mental, & emotional health.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Took a 5 day vacation. Been going to the therapy (that I was putting off), getting to the Dr appointments I was missing, rehabbing my shoulders, reconnecting with friends I had grown distant with, & just trying to take better care of me.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Slowing down the past few weeks has been disgustingly uncomfortable. But sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. And more importantly, you have to understand when you’re too busy helping other people that you’re no longer taking good care of yourself. ⁣⁣⁣

For all the women out there who are busting their ass, pouring into others, trying to wear five kazillion hats, & still show up for their themselves/clients/family/friends/jobs - I see you 🖤🖤🖤 📸 @katiepodralski

💥 There’s several different strategies one can use while carb cycling; however, the simplest and most applicable method is known as, “Fuel for the Work Required.” Essentially, with this method, you plan your carb intake based off of your training. Make your high volume leg days your high carb days, upper body days = moderate carb days, and rest days = low carb days. With this method, your carb intake is always matching your training demands without spilling over.

Welp... heres the plan...(Yall see how I have to yell at myself on paper!!)🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ I feel like I need to detox. My digestion is off and no matter what I cleanse my face with, no matter the serums I use, no matter how much I mositurize, my face is acting crazy, especially when I eat sweets 😫😫😫 So I found some teas that Im going to make, and eat fruits, veggies and good carbs (cuz I dont wanna pass out somewhere) I didnt want to do the smoothies again because that was intense and Im not going for weight loss, its more for detoxing my liver, kidneys and getting my digestion back on track. SYN FREE CHEESY DIRTY FRIES 😍🍟 🧀🌶 The simplest (have I made it clear that I’m a lazy cook yet?) yet banging dish. In a dream world I’d have carbs and cheese for every meal. Breakfast: Cheese on toast. Lunch: Cheesy chips and gravy. Dinner: Cheesy pasta bake. Can you imagine 🤤.. Anyways back to this beauty! .

METHOD:
Chopped up one large Maris piper into chips, sprayed the tray with olive oil Frylight. Mixed the chips with jdseasonings chips and wedges spice, cooked in the oven for 40 mins making sure to turn half way through to avoid any sticking. When cooked I topped them with 40g’s of light cheddar cheese, placed them under the grill until cheese had melted and then served with more seasoning, chopped red chilli and spring onions. .

INGREDIENTS

Noodles
320g all-purpose flour (about 2 1/4 cups)

1 teaspoon kosher salt

160 grams room temperature water (about 3/4 cup)

For Cooking Noodles

4 quarts water

2 tablespoons sea salt

sesame oil (to keep noodles from sticking together)

Spicy Peanut Sauce

3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 tablespoon chili oil

1/2 tablespoon sesame oil

2 teaspoons maple syrup or sugar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Additional Equipment

Steamed vegan dumplings (Xiao Long Bao '小笼包') by @woon.heng⁣ 🥟😍

Recipe (yields 20-25 🥟)⁣
🍃Soup cubes (optional):⁣
~ 3 cups veggie stock⁣
~ 3 slices ginger, 2 caps mushrooms (softened), 3 stalks scallions⁣
~ 2.5 teaspoons agar agar powder
✔️In a small pot with a drizzle of oil, sauté ginger, mushrooms & scallions until fragrant. Add in veggie stock, cover & simmer for 15 minutes, season with salt. Sieve stock to a pot & while stirring continuously, add in agar agar powder. Bring the pot to a low simmer & continue to stir & cook until mixture comes to just boiling. Turn off the heat & pour mixture into a plate & let set in the fridge. Cut agar agar into tiny cubes.⁣

🍃Dough (recipe adapted from @chefsteps )⁣
~ 3/4 cups bread flour plus more for dusting⁣
~ 1/2 cups all-purpose flour⁣
~ 1/2 teaspoon salt⁣
~ 1/2 cup hot water with a drizzle of oil⁣
✔️Add all dry ingredients in a food processor & mix well. Turn on food processor & add the water-oil mixture through the feed until all incorporated. Remove dough & knead on a floured surface until a smooth top forms. Cover & let dough rest for 15 minutes.⁣
*Tip from Food52: If the dough is too dry, add water by the half-teaspoon to soften.⁣

🍃Filling - finely chopped (use below or your favorite sautéd veggies)⁣
~ 1 dried lion mane's & 4-5 Shiitake mushrooms, soaked until soft
~ 4oz extra firm tofu⁣
~ 1 teaspoon⁣ ginger
~ 3 stalks scallions⁣
~ 2 teaspoons ShaoXing wine (optional)⁣
🍃Sauce: 3 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon stir fry sauce, 1 teaspoon organic sugar, toasted sesame oil, salt⁣
✔️In a heated nonstick pan with 2 teaspoons oil, sauté all ingredients until fragrant. Season with sauce & adjust taste accordingly. Let cool & add in cut agar agar cubes, then mix until well combined.⁣ ⁣✔️To make the 🥟, divide the dough into 20-25 small balls. 👀🎥 on how to roll, wrap & pleat the dough☺️
⁣✔️Steam 🥟 for 15 minutes under high heat & serve with black vinegar & ginger sauce🤤
