🇵🇱 Placki z cukinii i ziemniaków z guacamole i pikantnym śledziem. Może nie za pięknie wygląda ale jest zimowo, śledziowo i na bogato. Placki ziemniaczane pojawiają się u mnie może raz do roku, bo o ile je uwielbiam jeść to bardzo nie lubię ich smażyć (w przeciwieństwie do naleśników, które mogłabym robić co tydzień). Gdyby nie to, że znowu jesteśmy na diecie bezmlecznej pewnie byłby placki z ziołowym serkiem i łososiem, ale tak ląduje wersja śledziowa.

A lot of courage filled no’s make for some pretty brave yes’s. Be brave enough to be patient, but also to say yes when you’re supposed to...don’t give up easily on life. Don’t give up on God, and don’t give up on yourself. Change is scary, but it means you’re doing something big and beautiful. So go for it sister, do something for YOU that scares the heck outta you!

Winter Chicken & Veggies
Recipe 👇👇👇 Been on a hiatus.
Life can be hard. ☆Chunked chicken breasts (I
used about 5-6 for 4 people)
☆Bunch of Asparagus ☆Baby Potatoes ☆ 1/2 Zuchinni ☆0.5 c Balsalmic Vinegar ☆1c Chicken Broth
☆Cornstarch
☆Pomegranate and Feta for topping

Saute veggies until potatoes are tender, set aside.
Cook chicken until cooked through in same pan used for veggies.
Add Balsalmic vinegar and chicken broth to chicken.
Toss veggies with 1-2tbsp cornstarch
Add veggies to chicken.
Simmer until sauce thickens

My favorite soup lately is potato and broccoli. Sautéed garlic and onions in mushroom broth with salt, pepper, and parsley. Then blend with steamed potatoes, broccoli, and half an avocado. So easy and yummy. What You Can Do If Your Baby Isn't Breastfeeding 💥Make sure your newborn is latching on to your breast the right way. 💥Bring your baby to the lactation experts for consultation.
💥Breastfeed your child in a quiet, dark area away from distractions.
💥Try to use a different breastfeeding position.
💥Offer the breast frequently but don't force your child to breastfeed. 💥If breastfeeding becomes a negative experience for your baby, it may be harder to bring him or her back to the breast.
💥Even though it's hard, try not to worry. Stress can reduce the supply of breast milk.
💥If your baby will not breastfeed, hand express your breast milk or pump to maintain your milk supply.
💥If you don't want to introduce a bottle to your baby, you can use an alternative feeding method such as cup feeding, finger feeding, or a nursing supplementer device (supplemental nursing system) to provide your child with breast milk while you're working on getting your child back to the breast.

We had such a great trip to @hersheypark this weekend.

The rides, Christmas decorations and literally bathing in chocolate was all so magical.

I’m so grateful to be able to make these memories with the kids.

Now it’s time for a good detox which means smoothies for breakfast, fruits and veggies for snacks and a total cutback on sweets.

Another morning, another breakfast plate!

Ready is 5 & loaded with staying power from veggies, protein & complex carbohydrates! Exactly what a breastfeeding mama needs.

WHAT WENT DOWN:
-1 @Ezekiel sprouted english muffin
-1 slice of havarti cheese
-1 plant-based sausage patty (had to give the meatless patty a try at least once :)
-Handful of spinach
-Side of mixed berries
🍓
*While the muffin is toasting, quickly fry up the sausage patty & melt the cheese. Transfer to muffin & top with spinach & sauce of your choice! Enjoy with fruit (& coffee for me of course).

Breast Milk is AMAZING! 💛⁣⁣

Did you know breast milk can have a variety of different colors? From birth, you’ll produce thicker/yellow milk (colostrum), and it will slowly turn into a transitional, thinner/white milk after a week or two. These two were 5 weeks apart, exclusive pumping (oversupplier) mama from the beginning!⁣ (thanks @jahilgoe for giving me your extra milk!! 😘)⁣

Sometimes when mom is sick (she has a cold/flu) milk color will change to a more yellow hue to help protect baby too! ⁣⁣

When I pumped, I always had super fatty milk, and I did notice that it would change colors during the day as well! When I would pump in the morning, it would be thinner and clearer...and throughout the day it would get thicker and harder to see through. ⁣⁣

My most favorite shirt ever fits again!!!! Its still snug but I am so stoked time for a date night I think! 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉 The before picture was from April when I could get the dang thing over my head and arms and felt good about that! The pants fit too but I got a different pair because they were sooo low rise 😬😂🤦🏻‍♀️. Anyhow happy Monday today is Day 15/21 for me on my like 7th cycle of 21 day fix this time it’s real time fix though and I am loving the jokes 😂.

Constipation during pregnancy is common and can even occur in the first trimester. Some reasons may be changes in hormones, iron supplements, pressure from your uterus on your intestines, and decreased physical activity.⁣

Luckily there are many foods that can help us out with this! ⁣

- 1 cup blackberries = 8 g fiber ⁣
- 1 cup lentils = 16 g fiber ⁣
- 1/2 avocado = 7 g fiber ⁣
- 1 tbsp chia seeds = 5 g fiber ⁣
- 1 cup Brussels sprouts, cooked = 6 g fiber ⁣
- 1 cup cauliflower, cooked = 5 g fiber⁣

Aim to get a minimum of 28 g of fiber per day during pregnancy, some of my meal plans contain up to 45 g! ⁣

Don’t forget to drink plenty of water while increasing your fiber intake! If you aren’t able to relieve your constipation talk with your healthcare provider or dietitian to help you figure out what’s going on and what you can do to help it.⁣

If you’ve found yourself asking “do coffee and breastfeeding mix?“, the short answer is yes – in moderation!⁣

Drinking coffee and breast milk are perfectly safe as long as you’re staying within the recommended two to three cups maximum per day. (AIM to stay under about 300mg)⁣

Let’s talk iron!🤰🏼⁣

Iron needs go up A LOT during pregnancy, from about 18 mg to 27 mg per day! ⁣

Of course, we want to up high iron foods, but what else effects your iron absorption? 🤔⁣

There are things that can help iron absorption and also things that can hinder it.⁣

Two things that can help are Vitamin C and cooking in a cast iron skillet! Vitamin C is especially helpful to pair with plant sources of iron. 🍊🥦🍋⁣

Two things to be careful about are coffee and tea which have some properties that may interfere with iron. I suggest drinking them in between meals and not with! ☕️⁣

Lastly, calcium and iron compete for absorption so be sure to separate them when you are eating high sources or supplementing with both. 👍🏼⁣
