GOLDENMILK OATS😍
Weet jij al wat goldenmilk ofwel golden almond latte is? Het populaire drankje is al op veel plekken te bestellen en zou ontzettend goed zijn voor ons immuunsysteem. Het heeft zijn gele kleur te danken aan de kurkuma. Kurkuma is een geneeskrachtigkruid met vele gezondheidsvoordelen.
Ik schreef hier al eens een blog over op @dekrachtigevrouw
Nu zag ik al een aantal keer de havermout variant voorbij komen en dat wilde ik uiteraard ook eens proberen. Dat pakte goed uit, een heerlijk verwarmend havermoutje op deze frisse ochtend😍🍌. Recept vind je hieronder⬇️
Geniet van je zondag❤!

- 60 gr havermout
- optioneel 20 gr vanille proteïn
- 200 ml amandelmelk
- 1 el kurkuma
- snufje zwarte peper
- snufje kardemom
- mespunt vanillepoeder
- 1 el honing
- 1 tl kaneel
- 1 banaan
- pecannoten en pindakaas
Mix de havermout samen met de kruiden en proteïn in een steelpannetje.
Voeg de amandelmelk toe, is het te dik > dan wat extra amandelmelk. Te dun > wat extra havermout.
Laat de havermout zachtjes koken tot een smeuïge substantie. Voeg de honing toe. Giet over in een kom en top af met gebakken banaan (snijd de banaan doormidden en bak beide kanten even aan in wat kokosolie). Strooi nog wat pecannoten en zaadjes over de havermout. Last but not least: lepel pindapasta😍. Eetsmakelijk!

Also with a little thought about what I went through last months and the huge change of my life!
After Uni I was not happy with my life and where I lived - I was too demotivated about my future there. Everything was too normal and routine - Even when people said "you can find opportunities and be a good professional in your field" it was not enough for me! I needed to try something new - Soooo I came to London 🇬🇧 It was all soo fast, and I found a job which I love - Mostly because it's my first and I am learning a lottt. Always focused on what I am looking for my future!
Honestly this decision was the best ever (even moving completely alone and with so many challenges ahead) and I'm sure it'll define my career from now on !
This is what it's this account about - Trying to be your best version, living healthy, self love and never give up! However common it may sound one can always get what is proposed! Of course many people made comments that discouraged me - But I always took the positive of all them.
What I want to share here is my experience day to day, my ambition to be a good professional and continue my studies, work hard to get all that - But enjoying the way with a healthy life ❤️ [ ]

👩‍🍳 It's one of our very favourite ways to use our new toffee-flavoured Superblend Protein. Be sure to try this warming porridge recipe one morning this week:⁠

- ½ grated apple⁠
- 50g gluten-free rolled oats⁠
- 200ml plant milk of choice⁠
- ¼ tsp cinnamon⁠
- 1 tbsp Superblend Toffee ⁠

1/ Place the apple, oats, milk and cinnamon in a pan and cook on medium heat until creamy. ⁠

If you go to @christopherswc2 and don't get this for brunch dessert then you need to take a long hard look in the mirror 😂 Thick slabe of French toast stuffed with nutella between the layers, served with vanilla ice cream and melted chocolate, it takes something seriously special for me to get French toast over pancakes but this thing gets me every time 😍😍 Another sleepless night last night so planned a spontaneous pre-lunch brunch date with someone who was on a night out 😂🙈

𝓜𝓲𝔁𝓮𝓭 𝓑𝓮𝓻𝓻𝔂 𝓞𝓪𝓽𝓼 ♡

This morning I cooked up some vanilla oats and added berries and coconut.
𝓡𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓹𝓮
40g oats soaked in water that just covers it for 10 minutes with 2tsp chia seeds
Then add 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
And 200ml soya milk and cook until creamy.
Once cooked add your toppings:
1 tsp honey
A drizzle milk
Handful of frozen mixed berries
1 tbsp desiccated coconut

A slice of cape seeded loaf, baked beans, egg made in the same pan as the baked beans and air fried sausages.

You don't have to give up your favorite foods or eat rabbit food. You can have all the meals with your family, and everyone eat the same thing. There is no need to cook differently for everyone.

The baked beans was made with coconut oil, a healthier choice of bread and air fried sausages. Simple changes big difference.

good morning, i remember 3 years ago when i started this instagram account i spend sooo much time in the kitchen preparing my food and making it pretty. I started this account only with food photography (you can scroll aaaaaall the waaay down🙈) but then I turned it more to a personal blog and now I am still enjoying to make delicious and yummy food, but more in a throw-everything-together-manner and I just don’t feel like having a specific category I have to post about ☺️ anyway times change, back then I ate different things everyday to stay creative, today I eat pretty much the same almost everyday, at least for breakfast. Soy yoghurt with banana and berries and homemade granola is such a classic and I get never tired of it 😛🙈 what’s your classic? Enjoy your Sunday! ☺️

🇬🇧 Quinoa & oat porridge with pumpkin

On the poll everyone answered that they would never tire of pumpkin 🎃 apart from 1 person 😱 (you know who you are). So here's another way to utilise it

Recipe:
• 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
• 1/2 cup jumbo oats
• 1/4 cup roasted pumpkin (pureed)
• 1/2 tbsp nut butter
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• squeeze of date syrup (or other)
• dark chocolate buttons
• mylk of choice
▶️ Add the quinoa and oats to a sauce pan and just cover with mylk. Mix it and let it sit (off heat) for 10 minutes.
➡️ You can get ready for work in the meantime 😉
▶️ Turn on to a low flame and add the rest of the ingredients apart from the choc.
▶️ Cook for about 5 minutes.
▶️ Serve with choc on top so it melts slowly into the porridge 😋

En la encuesta todos menos 1 😱 (sabes quién eres) votaron qué nunca os podrías hartar de la calabaza 🎃 asi que os traigo otra manera de utilizarla

Receta:
• 1/2 taza quinoa cocida
• 1/2 taza copos de avena enteros
• 1/4 taza calabaza asada (hecho puré)
• 1/2 cda crema de frutos secos
• 1 cdta canela
• sirope de dátil al gusto (u otro)
• botones de chocolate negro
• leche vegetal
▶️ Añade la quinoa y la avena a una olla (con el fuego apagado) y llena hasta la misma altura con leche. Mézclalo y déjalo reposar 10 minutos.
➡️ De mientras te puedes preparar para el trabajo 😉
▶️ Enciende el fuego y añade el resto de los ingredientes menos el choco.
▶️ Cocina unos 5 minutos a fuego lento.
▶️ Sirve con el choco encima para que se derrita lentamente 😋

Happy Friday! It's been quite the week so very happy to have this pear, cranberry and pecan granola to get me through. Really loving these bowls rn. How to 👇 It's perfect too if you're starting to think about festive breakfasts! What are you looking forward to at the end of the week? Hope you've had a good one!

To make :
-Add a 1/4 cup rolled oats to a pan and toast for a minute or two.
- Next add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a small handful of pecans, almonds, dried cranberries and flame raisins to the pan and toast for a further minute.
- Turn off the heat and add a heaped teaspoon of maple syrup and give everything a good stir.
- Spread out on parchment paper to cool. It should be getting crispy after about 10 minutes so you can break it into clusters.
- Serve the granola with pears, yoghurt, raspberries and a spoonful of @pipandnut pumpkin spice almond butter.
- Enjoy!

Happy new week! Raspberry and banana smoothie with cardamon chia anyone? How to 👇 I'm winging my way to Birmingham at silly o'clock but this was my breakfast yesterday and I'm wishing it was mine today. Luckily I've got some overnights oats in my bag. How is Monday treating you so far? Hope you're feeling ready for whatever this week holds. ❤️❤️❤️
To make:
- Mix 1 tbsp of chia seeds with 100ml of an milk of your choice. I used soya because that's what I had in the fridge! Stir in a pinch of ground cardamon and leave in the fridge overnight.
- In the morning soak 1/4 rolled oats in boiling water for 15 mins.
- Add the soaked oats to a high speed blender with a frozen banana, handful of frozen raspberries a little ground maca and a spoon of peanut butter.
- Blend to smooth and glossy.
- Add the chia pudding to a glass and pour on the smoothie.
- Top with raspberries, coconut flakes, cacao nibs and a drizzle of @sweetfreedomuk choc shot!
- Enjoy!

Happy weekend! 🙏Turmeric oats with cinnamon apples after my swim this morning. How to 👇 Who else is craving everything cozy right now? This bowl is proper winter fuel for these colder mornings. To make:
- Soak 1/3 cup of oats in 100ml warm water for 10 minutes or so. - Once it’s all soaked in add a further cup of water and cook slowly on a low heat.
- While the oats cook heat a little vegan butter in a pan (or you could just use water), and sauté apple slices until they start to turn golden and soft.
- Add a dusting of cinnamon and brown sugar and cook for another minute or two.
- When the oats are done stir in, a pinch of turmeric, maca powder and add some sweetener here if you prefer your porridge on the sweet side.
- Top the oats with the apples, crushed raspberries, banana and a spoonful of tahini and maple.
- And enjoy!

Happy Thursday! Roasted plums with vanilla maca granola and pumpkin almond butter for a post-run pick me up. How to 👇 Thats right folks, I managed my first little run since the marathon this week. Not great but it was so nice to be back out there. I think it's going to be a slow road to recovery though so baby steps! How is your week going? Have a lovely day!

To make:
- Roast a couple of plums (halved and de-stoned) in the oven for 20 mins at 170c. It make take more or less time depending on your oven!
- While the plums cook make your granola. Start by toasting 1/4 cup rolled oats in a pan for a minute or two.
- Add a pinch of ground maca, and a small handful of unsweetened coconut, almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, and chopped dried fruit to the pan and toast for a further minute.
- Turn off the heat and add a heaped teaspoon of fruit syrup (I used the one @sweetfreedomuk sent me to try for free 😍 which was delish!) and a dash of vanilla extract and give everything a good stir.
- Spread out on parchment paper to cool and sprinkle with sea salt.
- It should be getting crispy after about 10 minutes so you can break it into clusters.
- Serve the granola with yoghurt, plums, raspberries and a spoonful of @pipandnut pumpkin spice almond butter.
- Enjoy!

To make:
- Soak 1/3 cup oats in 100ml almond milk and a splash of warm water for 10 or so minutes.
- Cook oats with a further cup of water over a low heat stirring occasionally.
- When the oats are almost ready stir in a heaped tsp (or more if you’re feeling really chocolaty!) of cacao powder, a handful of sultanas, maca powder and a spoonful of tahini. - Mix in a small pinch of sea salt to bring out the flavours. And add any extra sweetener you want too. - Top with frozen berries, chocolate stops, hemp seeds and a drizzle of tahini.
- Enjoy!
