Hey #Gym Fam! Today on #teachmetuesday we’re going to talk about a standing lateral swing or pull down. Many people have asked me how to tighten their back and minimize the appearance of “back fat”. Although we can’t spot reduce in certain areas, we can build up the muscles so it appears firmer and tighter. With these kinds of exercises and consistent caloric deficit of healthy foods, you’ll start seeing that back tighten up in no time! To start, stand facing the handle and cable. When you grab the handle, think about pulling that handle apart squeezing everything in your arms, shoulders and back. Hinge slightly at the waist and gently bend at the knees. Then pull down towards your hips and as you do, squeeze under your armpits and on the backside of your shoulders blades, or your latissimus muscles. Back on diet started 10 days ago at 264.7 and down to 253.8 this morning. Squats went 430 for 5 x3 moved very well. 120 sec rest and beltless followed by a shit ton of accessory work.
