Plank, love it, hate it, you’ve gotta do it!
Crunches, hold it at the top!
Alt straight leg crunches.
Alt toe tap crunches, or you can do both legs.
Slow leg raises, I was counting to 8.
Leg tuck, feel the burn in the obliques!
Core stability, alt leg and arm, switch after 30 seconds.
Sitting leg lifts, they’re harder than they look!
The V hold, I’m showing 2 different levels. Leave your hands on the floor or raise them up and challenge yourself. Raise them over your head and really challenge yourself.
And just for fun, rope climbs.

Lately I’ve been practicing being mindful & in the moment. ✨
It’s amazing how you can get in your head & focus on the things that honestly don’t even matter. And think about those things until they drive you crazy. Have you ever done that?🙋🏼‍♀️

Have you ever been so focused on something with no real outcome? Something you couldn’t control?🙅🏼‍♀️

I’ve been trying this thing where I say to myself, “this is what I’m doing right now...” and just focusing on THAT one task. If something is out of my control, I simply say to myself “this is something that’s out of my control, I’ll focus on it again when I can come up with a resolution.”💫

It works! Next time you’re all in your head, focus on what you’re doing in the moment & let go of what you can’t control.🧚🏻‍♀️

This is how you Can Do a program no matter what your fitness level!  In this move you can jump or squat and touch your heel. They are both effective, both great!  The best part is there is always a modifier!.... so if you are intimidated seeing all the jumping moves in MM100 no worries you can absolutely make it fit for you and still get results!

Starting a program today that I completed T W O years ago and crushed!

Total honesty, I’m a little nervous, some of the moves are intense and a little outside of my current ability, but the nice thing is there’s a modifier for every workout, I can pause whenever I need to because I’m doing this on my time in my own home, and I’m going into this ready to take it at my pace and my speed. 
But I’m also READY for this CHALLENGE! Ready to prove to myself just how #strong I really am and that I am #capable of doing HARD THINGS!

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted about my fitness journey, although I haven’t stopped working hard and crushing goals! The photo on the left was taken July 2018 and the photo on the right was taken July 2019. On the left, I just completed an 80 day #athomeworkout and on the right I’m currently #30weekspregnant. (YESSSS those at home workouts work, YOU just have to put in the work). My goal this pregnancy was to maintain my workouts and eat healthier and to really kick postpartum’s booty. Y’all, it isn’t pretty after birth and your hormones are legit crazy 😝 I struggled horribly after Rhyus and I plan to stay proactive and hope to have no issues this postpartum. That plan includes my at home workouts, my fitness community and just being a better version of myself. The fitness community I mentioned, I haven’t met most of them, just virtually, and ALL OF THEM ARE THERE FOR ME...and YOU! ⁣

This pretty much sums it up.

It's exactly how I feel from the minute the kids wake up until after they go to bed. 
They need meals...like THREE of them PER DAY!

I need to have snacks available hourly.

I need to plan activities throughout the day to keep them busy.

I need to tidy and straighten up rooms almost constantly. 
The only difference is they don't pay their bill at the end of their stay. 😆

Anyone else becoming a Bed and Breakfast owner and operator this summer? 
What won't you miss once they get back to school. For me I won't miss the constant snack attacks everyone seems to have!

No better way than to start a Monday with a good ol sweat sesh 💪

Trust me, I did NOT want to get up this morning.
I woke up right before my alarm & wanted nothing more than to set it for later.

But instead I started with small steps like telling myself to at least get up & see how I felt.
Then I told myself to at least see how hot it was in the house.

So that 100 day program I committed to yesterday? Yeah it starts the 29th.. and today is the 22nd 🙈

I was just too excited to wait! But there are 5 prep workouts released so today was prep day 1 - Cardio Meltdown (which definitely lives up to it's name 😂). Guess I'm committing to 105 days.. 💪

Well today I took on my workout in my AO as my mom used to call the designated area for oneself.  It's a bit humbling to be down here.  One because I have come to realize how much this area means to me. And two,  I have come to realize how much devastation water can cause to an area.  My carpet is still soaked, my weights are causing rust stains on areas from getting wet, and yet I still pushed through.  I look at it as I am blessed with a small area that I can still use as my own. 
But,  I truly needed to come back to my AO as it's the place where I think the clearest when its raining heavily outside and I need a quiet go to spot.  It's been a rough weekend. Just when things seemed to be status quo for my family, we get hit yet again.  And admittedly, I have flipped my lid.  I have spent more time yelling and crying than anyone deserves to hear. I am frustrated and mad.  And unfortunately it's those that I love the most that had to bear witness to my biggest weaknesses to date fear and lack of patience.  So I needed to come and dig deep to the words that seem to come across to me when those that are close to me have spoken behind the scenes to me. "Shannon you are so strong.  Shannon stay strong through the storm.  Shannon your strength will persevere.  Shannon you wear an armour of strength that cannot be beat.  God is your lifeguard and you will get through the storm together with your powerful strength." STRONG.  STRENGTH.  The two words that speak to me as I struggle here lately.  Gosh I don't feel strong.  At all.  I actually feel so very weak. 
So, I dug deep and pulled out my heavy weights today.  I wanted to show myself how i have been holding back a bit and could do it.  But, I also wanted to show myself that I am stronger than I think.  Sometimes we need our own little pep talks you know.  Like..."Get your head out of your A$$ and get your S**T together.  You have made it through worse than this.  This is just peons compared to what you have endured.  And even with tears in your eyes you freaking got this!  Because as the tears continue to fall, your strength will continue to rise.  And this is the epic game changer in the storm.

Playing with transitions this morning ♾ I remember during my teacher training I felt so overwhelmed like there were soo many exercises and things to remember. As I taught more and more I realized how every exercise truly does come down to a handful of concepts and shapes. It’s just packaging the same ideas in different ways! I try to inject that into my teaching, helping students find the connections between certain exercises. So here you have it - single straight leg stretch into side lying kicks - same principles, “different” packaging! ☀️

* We stop caring what others will think⁣
* We stop putting ourselves last⁣

And we START⁣

* Loving ourselves more⁣

Everything you seek is inside of you💪🏻 3 years ago I was in a dark period of my life. Instead of drowning in my own tears and feeling sorry for myself I chose to do something else with my emotions. 
Working out was my way to deal with my emotions. People around me where judging me and spreading rumors to make them self look better. I focused on me, to become a better person on the in and outside.
