Want a quick and simple arm workout? Give this a try! No dumbbells needed. 🙌🏻 There are several movements you can do with cables/various attachments to get a good pump going 💪🏻 I always tend to use the rope, a straight bar and a single handle for multiply movements! 🙂


I usually do higher reps when incorporating cables and stick to lower reps/higher weight when I’m using dumbbells. 3-4 sets of 12-15 reps per each of these movements should suffice 🙂

⭕For whatever reason, there seems to be a one or the other approach when it comes to cardio and strength training. For a lot of people, they preach strength training and have a "no cardio" rule with themselves as if cardio training is for the weak. Yet, there are so many benefits to cardio, just like strength training. In fact, everyone, regardless of their goal, should be doing both as they each have their own benefits let alone being lean and fit.

Progression and Overload: -
Any intelligently designed program will have methods of progression built into it, if not look elsewhere. In saying this constantly trying to add as much overload via reps, sets, weight and so on each session or week is not always necessary and sometimes dangerous. Sometimes pushing too hard for progress can hinder you by potentially letting your technique slip and possibly risking injury in the sake of it.

Given this it is prudent to understand that as much as we need to try hard and push ourselves we also need to grasp that our progress also happens because of the adaptation from the training and this can take some time. It can also very well be a reason why our progress slows down as we get more advanced, as our adaptations to the training are also diminished.

Despite this there are still heaps of awesome ways to progress our training and not just linearly. Triple and quadruple progression models are a fantastic way to do this which incorporates some autoregulation in progression. To keep things simple in this post the following are progress methods typically seen in triple progression models:

1. Load, 2. Reps 3. Sets

In a very crude summary you would aim to progress in one of these variables in that given order (1-3) on an exercise and still be in our given rep range. For example if you can’t progress with additional load then move onto point 2 Reps and then onto adding sets as point 3. Again very crude simplification but that’s all I can squeeze in an Instagram post!

Top #armworkout posts

so i’ve come across this quote several different times on my insta feed and other social medias that says, “how many of your have-to’s are actually get-to’s?” & it spoke volume to me. i realized that most of us struggle finding the time to take care of our responsibilities, leaving almost no time for us to do the things we actually enjoy. we hurry to cross tasks off our to-do list, most of them tasks we don’t enjoy whatsoever. we’re just so worried about passing that exam or getting that job or impressing others that we neglect our own personal interests.


i’m guilty of this too. i spend a lot of my days feeling obligated to participate in things that don’t make me happy. but i’m working to change that. what so many of us don’t realize is that we’re never going to gain the time back that we spend unhappy. so what are we making ourselves miserable for? is that one test really going to define how smart you are? does that other person’s opinion really even matter? i’m not saying to neglect your responsibilities. get your shit done. but quit driving yourself crazy thinking that you HAVE to be this flawless being in order to be successful. when you look back on your life, you sure as hell ain’t gonna remember all the little things you checked off that to-do list. you’re gonna remember the times you let yourself live. you’re gonna remember the times that you laughed so hard you couldn’t breathe and the times you felt your soul catching fire. let yourself do those things more often. 🦋

If you want to get monster arms, you need to be training both your Triceps & Biceps frequently to maximize your growth, I would recommend training arms at least twice per week!

On the left side, you've got two great Bicep exercises, on top we've got the Incline Dumbbell Curl which puts more emphasis on the long head of the muscle.

Below that we've got the Hammer Curl, which targets both the long head and the Brachialis which will help to increase the size of your bicep. On the eccentric part (lowering the weight), try to do it slowly, at around 5 seconds or so, to allow of greater activation of the Brachialis.

On the right side at the top, you've got Triceps Pushdown, which will be targeting your lateral head of the triceps (change to a rope if you want to target your triceps medial head instead).

And in the bottom right corner is the Skullcrusher, which is great for activating the long head of the tricep.

For muscle growth the ideal rep range is 8-15 reps of 3-4 sets with a focus on the squeeze and the eccentric phases of the movements, aim for each rep to take about 3 seconds!

Not gonna lie, I have not been not been prioritizing my “cut.”
yes, I pretty much have never missed a workout...
But, my eating hasn’t been the best LOL.
I’ve had my fair share of of a traveling / enjoying the weekends 😆
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been sitting around maintenance for quite a while now and I’m ready to take my fitness goals more seriously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I plan on finishing this cut in about 2 months- aiming to lose ~1 lb fat per week.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏃🏽‍♀️I’ll def be picking up my cardio sessions as well.
I will keep you guys updated on my progress! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

▪️(3x10) Close grip cable bicep curl- notice my grip - hands are gripped so that my palms move up towards my chest
▪️(3x15) seated preacher cable curl
▪️(3x10) prone incline DB curl
▪️(2x8 each) concentration curls
▪️(3x20) DB bicep curl
